Experience was terrible. Spot to park was not as advertised. Had a sewer line break under our trailer and there was no offer of help to move or to cover the sewage so I would not have to wade in it to get out. No offer of any refund for remaining time, I was not staying here any longer. All they could say is "it is not our fault" I understand it does happen. Maybe a little preventive maintenence would help and also to accept a little responsibility. We camped at Apache Palms RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

There is no question this was a terrible experience for this guest and we expressed how sorry we were. The sewer line was blocked by gravel two sites away forcing the sewage to overflow under their rig. We learned of the overflow about 8 a.m. and the maintenance men promptly began assessing the situation. Since 3 sites were blocked the snake was used and after some effort the blockage was cleared and the site cleaned up by noon. This party was offered another site, but refused since they had already had to disconnect. They left and the remaining nights of their reservation were refunded. This reservation was made online with a request for a Standard Site. Since the park was very full due to Spring Training they were given a Standard Pull-thru site next to the pool with full hookups (30 amp elec. only) and no patio slab. The staff is suppose to inform all guests at the time the reservation is made if the site has any drawbacks such as no patio and next to the pool.

We needed a place for the night on our way back to Texas to visit with family and this was close to them. City RV park with permanent residents, clean and neat, excellent cable and WiFi; the shower facility was very stuffy with poor ventaliation but clean. We would stay again when in town to visit family. We camped at Apache Palms RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We, a Dutch family on our first visit to the US, stayed one night at Apache Palm RV Park in order to return our motorhome in Mesa. The only garbagecan we could find was closed so we put our little bag beside it. The next morning the manager wanted to charge us an extra 5 dollars for cleaning up the garbage that had unfortunately been spread out in front of the office, presumably caused by a dog or cat. Even though we apologized, she still charged us for the little clean-up. An hour later we returned to the office with a second garbage bag and our question was again where the garbage cans are? We were not allowed to drop it in their garbage can. Instead she insisted that we should take our garbage with us in the RV and leave the park (!) which we eventually did to avoid further escalation and to return our motorhome in time. We have been visiting several hundreds of campsites in Europe in the past 30 years, but we never experienced a situation as unfriendly and unwelcoming as this! During our stay in the US, the staff of all other RV parks were very friendly and helpful. We camped at Apache Palms RV Park in a Motorhome.

A welcome packet is given to each guest at check-in. Among other things it includes a site map with the location of the trash dumpster and recycle bin, both located centrally in the RV Park for our guests convenience. Since our trash service is provided by the City of Tempe the trash receptacles are never locked.

The park is fine, pool and general area is kept up.

The weekday manager was turning all my mail away for weeks, every time I went to the office she would smile and say,"nope nothing today" . It ended up costing me as my bills were being paid late!! No apology what so ever.

The weekend managers are wonderful.

I understand this weekday manager is evicting longtime residents out of the park with no given reason. I will look elsewhere next time I am in AZ.Too much DRAMA with this one. We camped at Apache Palms RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

I am the owner of this RV Park and am very confused by this review. I just received notice of this and yet it says it was submitted on August 14, 2016. Our records show no one by this name staying at the RV Park in July, 2016. Also we have not had a rate of $10/night even with the Good Sam discount for more than 20 years!! Perhaps it was intended for another RV Park.

Be aware of the 14-day cancellation fee. We had a reservation for five nights; asked to change it to four when we arrived but too late, had to pay for five. Park is small with sites crammed in everywhere; some are wider than others. Access to sites is not a problem as long as you pay attention to where you were going. Restrooms, pool and the grounds in general are well-maintained. Location is convenient to any place in Tempe, and even downtown Phoenix since the light rail station is across the street from the park. Some airplane noise when the planes take off to the east, but generally quiet at night. We camped at Apache Palms RV Park in a Motorhome.

Our fourth spring stay at Apache Palms has remained remarkably consistent. The RV park is well maintained and the management is very friendly and accommodating. The park has revamped its WiFi with several transmission locations. When the WiFi worked, it was excellent; however, during our stay the company that actually provides the Internet service was constantly attempting to get the system to work reliably. On another note, more security seems to be in place at Apache Palms and that is much appreciated.

The laundry and shower areas are well maintained. The same can be said for the pool and spa areas. Even though the pool is relatively small, the water temperature is perfect for just about any external temperature.

What my wife and I look forward to is camaraderie among the people staying here. In the spring, many are visiting the area for spring training baseball, so you see banners supporting the Giants, Angels, Cubs, etc. Unlike other venues we've been to recently, the short term and long term occupants are very congenial.

Hopefully we'll be back again next year! We camped at Apache Palms RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The Tempe Market Place is a short drive for excellent dining and shopping.
Another attraction we visited was the Musical Instrument Museum...well worth the short drive. You could literally spend an entire day there.

We stayed at this park because of the convenience. We were meeting friends. Spaces very, very small. Attitude very different. Offered a reward if you caught someone throwing a cigarette down or let your dogs "poop". Free nights stay. Did not want pets urinating on their trees, etc. Encourages you to take pets to an empty lot down the street which was riddled with broken glass. Employees spent many breaks sitting outside the office smoking.

You could catch the trolley right across the street. Very close to shopping and college.

Told you when you stayed no regular spots open. Had to pay the extra for a spot which gave you a picnic table and Bar-b-q. We camped at Apache Palms RV Park in a Motorhome.

We ended up having to cancel our reservation at the last minute due to illness. We've stayed at this park before and while their website states no refunds unless cancelled 14 days in advance, we were given a full refund which was a HUGE relief.

We have stayed here before and will stay again when we're in town for business. We camped at Apache Palms RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Apache Palms is a dated but well maintained park. The park roads are just a tiny bit narrow on the curves, but Large 45' motorhomes come and go without any significant problems. I had to back up to make one of the tight curves in my 40' MH, but fortunately I had disconnected while my wife went in to register, and we were able to make the turn into the park towing a 17' dingy by taking both lanes of the busy frontage road. ALL the roads are one-way, but some of big rigs HAVE to exit using the entrance, and it can make things "interesting" because motorhomes cannot backup when towing. They have all the normal things like a pool, laundry room, & showers, but all are small to tiny. There is no dog run, grass, or club house. The trees are too small to qualify as shade trees. The spaces are gravel with narrow cement pads. The WiFi was the most frustrating I've used at any park, which is one of the reasons for an "average" rating. Repeated frustration from waiting for pages to load, having the signal disappear, and restarting the computer was the daily cycle for three weeks. Have you ever read one of those reviews that starts out, "The staff was really great ...." ? Well, this isn't one of them. The problem seemed to come from one person who set the tone for some of the others, but one of the men was very nice and helpful. I want to emphasis that the one staff member NEVER said one thing that was wrong; she was just an expert at unintentionally raising your blood pressure by tone, body language, and abruptness. Examples. After making our reservation, an extreme heat wave set in (110-115). I phoned for an early check-in to beat the extreme heat. (Safety issue, people died from being caught in the heat while we were there.) She was unconcerned. Check-in was 11 AM. Period. Rules are rules. We pulled in a few minutes after 11, wanted a different space than the assigned one. No luck. We camped at Apache Palms RV Park in a Motorhome.

I am sorry tired of this park. Have stayed here for convenience only because of ASU student and proximity. The manager can't stop smoking around everyone. The "free" WiFi sucks. Only 7 spots away from the office and can't get hooked in. The owner throws a fit when poor WiFi is brought up and it is our fault it isn't working. The place suits our needs, but the service stinks. This is a parking lot park. Place to sleep. We camped at Apache Palms RV Park in a Motorhome.

Relatively small campground, sites varied in size, our site backed up to a wall with an apartment complex on the other side. Good location if you have to be in Tempe, very small laundry facilities. Friendly staff, our site was very easy to get into, long term resident next to us was not very friendly about moving his car so we could put our slides out. He obviously felt he was entitled to more room than his site gave him so it didn't give us a good feeling to start out. Small patio next to the RV with barely enough room to park our truck. We camped at Apache Palms RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Park is urban and the sites are decent size. Gravel with a concrete patio. Clean park. Laundry room is clean and reasonable, pool is small but not used by many people. Spa is nice and hot. No other amenities and no activities. Some in office are friendly. Monthly rate is reasonable but you have to rent a minimum of 2 months at a time. This park is nothing special. It's a typical paved parking lot with rock in between some of the sites. It's a good location for all that Tempe, Scottsdale, etc., has to provide. Or, if you're like us, a good location for business purposes. There is a small pool and it is very well maintained. We would stay here again if in the area. Please be informed that past two people, they charge for everyone in your party, including infants. We camped at Apache Palms RV Park in a Motorhome.

We enjoyed our 1 night stay here. Easy for 40ft plus tow. It was in town, so it was a little packed in. But there seemed to be space between the sites. The sites had level concrete pads, with an adjoining spot for tows. The pool was nice and relaxing at the end of the day. The park owner is very nice. The park is clean and well groomed. The Metro rail is right outside of the park entrance, although we didn't try it. We would stay here again, if we were back in Phoenix/Tempe. We camped at Apache Palms RV Park in a Motorhome.

Ease access for a 40 foot class A. Concert pads, good power, excellent water pressure. Location seems to be in a lower class part of town. I like to try new places, but would come back to this park if I needed to be in this part of the city again. We camped at Apache Palms RV Park in a Motorhome.
