Important note: unless a Park Host site is available, there is no camping in the park. Hosts are on site generally from New Years through Easter. Always call ahead to check.
Camping for NASCAR events is in an area of the park adjacent to the track property and is handled through the race promoters. - Jim Three

There may be sites with sewer water and electric available intermittently, only if a camp host has moved out. Otherwise plan on dry camping, i.e. fill up your water tank, have a generator and/or solar panels and plan on driving out of the park to Flying J or another local RV park to dump tanks. I camped near the rodeo arena in the lower parking lot. The road is good asphalt all the way to the parking lot which is clean pea gravel that is groomed (chain raked) regularly by the camp hosts. It rained steady the first day and half I was there and the lot drained very well, no mud or standing water puddles. There are lots of trash receptacles in the lot and a port a potti for use by campers and day use folks at the trail head. This is a popular site for folks hauling their horses in a trailer, so parking along the sides of the large lot makes it easier for them to manoever in/out. There is no potable water for people, but there is a horse watering trough with a spigot near the trees at the trail headAccess to Phoenix, Goodyear, etc. is quick and it is very quiet at night...other than coyotes singing. Keep small dogs/cats on a leash and near you at all times. Camp hosts report seeing coyotes meandering through the lot in the day time, not fearful of people. I had to do minimal leveling on wedge levelers. The main reason I picked this park was proximity to the beautiful golf course within the park. There are no defined sites, just first come first parked. There is no shade in the lot, so camping here without power in hot season would be iffy. - GoldSeeker
Feb 2015 - $26.00
We stayed here for a quiet week and there were no horse events in the arena nearby. We did not see any showers or bathrooms. Our site did not have sewer but our friends did. We did not see a dump site. The view is spectacular and there are hiking trails. - rolling homeless
Apr 2016 - $22.00
The park is well located near shopping and restaurants. Paved roads were smooth and RV site was level and clean. We enjoyed the big resort pool. There are mostly older retired folks and many mobiles and park models, with a few short term RV spots here and there. The view out your window will be a mobile home. We felt safe and secure in this park. - Kason rolling

If you have pets, forget this park: There is no designated pet area. The front gate is a bit tight if you are pulling a long trailer. The majority of this park is for 55+ residents who reside in trailers, very few RV spaces and some of them are very tight. Most of the residents are not pet friendly and your dog will need to potty on the street or on your lot; come to think of it, most of the residents are not friendly - period. The Park is gated, which is a plus. The park has a few planned activities for their guests, but we only attended the occasional Saturday donuts social. Reasonable rates for an extended stay, we spent three months in this park. - Dave Scott
Dec 2017 - $36.00
A basic rv Park with decent facilities, friendly people here, sites are decent. Nothing fancy but showers are clean and water, electric (we only need 30 amp) and sewer. A nice pet area with grass. Not a resort but all we wanted was a reasonable place to stay for 3 weeks. No pet size requirements. No minimum trailer sizes as so many other parks in the area have on close to plenty of restaurants, grocery stores etc. And an RV sales and repair shop right next door that had a part I needed and refills propane so that is very convenient. - Bob_W
May 2015 - $32.00
This campground suited our basic needs while in Phoenix. It is not a resort, but convenient to many local attractions. They say they have 50 AMP, but we couldn't find one empty site that had it. We stayed in in early Spring, so AC wasn't vital. If we needed 50 AMP, we would find another place. The main downside was the check-in. The hotel guests get priority, so be prepared to wait a while if you check in at a busy time. - travelSupremely
Mar 2015 - $30.00
The park is behind a Days Inn which apparently took over a Ramada Inn. The park is as described in other reviews: older and in need of some work, nothing fancy. But, that being said, the park was clean, and I only saw one permanent site that should have been removed. There are few 50 amp sites, and those are really suggested for the Arizona area. We were here for spring training and to visit family so we found the park to be acceptable and safe. We will certainly return. - nmunozjr
Jul 2018 - $40.00
The RV camp is a small, family operated undertaking. All together it is quite satisfactory. Our site was not yet vacated by the previous occupant when we arrived around 5:00 p.m. The owner/manager seemed indecisive about what to do, but when I gently but clearly said that I expected her to have the site vacated for us, she went and spoke to the previous occupants, who pulled up stakes and left. The owner/manager then went out of her way to help us get set up, including finding a place for us to put our tow dolly and helping us (a little more than needed) in leveling. The site was close enough to level so that setting up was easy, and the utility connections were convenient. The WiFi was acceptable. Many of the sites seem to have long-term occupants. - Samuel J
Apr 2016 - $38.00
Nice and shady, clean grounds, but really tight for a 45' motorhome. No specific pet area that I could find. - KNB_RSB
Mar 2016 - $38.00
Was tough to find a place in the city. Was concerned being right in the middle of the city. Safe, fairly quiet, and good water, electric and Wi-Fi. Not much highway noise. Lots of amenities nearby and lots of things to do. Make reservation in advance since they fill up. - jwhitehead
Apr 2018 - $31.00
This is a Snowbird park, which was fortunately half empty - lots of Mobile homes and permanent residents. We were in a smaller "pull through" section, sites were level but very close together - not even 10 feet between campers. Small concrete pad at back of site, no picnic tables and with a tiny wannabe tree, so no shade from the high Arizona temps! Location was very close to all major shops and services but a long way from downtown Phoenix. - Retired Wanderers
Mar 2018 - $38.00
Excellent short term park, with nice gravel sites. I did notice long term sites were all dirt, and no picnic tables at any sites in the park. This is only complaint I have, otherwise great park. - LindaC
Feb 2018 - $24.00
I don't recommend this park if you want to be parked in one site for your whole visit. They think nothing of moving you from site to site saying someone else is coming when no one does. Very poor management and office staff has no idea about running a park. - Tina 69
Jul 2018 - $20.00
What a luxury resort...a waterfall at the pool, fireplace by the hot tub, a golf course, pickle ball, every amenity you can think of except shuffleboard. Abundant floral, trees and shrubs. A palm tree at every RV lot of which there are 550 RV spots. - Barbara Smith
Apr 2018 - $28.00
The site was level with the hook ups toward the rear. We had an escort to the site and help with parking. Everything was very clean. The wifi worked fine at the site. we did hear that they were having issues with the cable, but we did not use it. - Al and Anne-Marie
Apr 2018 - $30.00
This is a beautiful resort probably one of the nicest we have ever stayed at clean well landscaped beautiful pool sites are reasonably large but the above price is based on a monthly stay and is plus utilities and does not include internet which is available for approx 25 to 35 per month but you have to sign up for a recurring billing which was too much of a hassle even small campgrounds provide internet garbage was picked up twice a week which could be an issue the washrooms and pool are in the center of the park which is huge so it can be a long walk although the pool area is large so is the park the first 2wks we were there the park was full and the pool too crowded to use the last 2 was it was empty pool was lovely Then there are the jets this by itself is reason to look elsewhere we would not return. - janel323
Nov 2018 - $45.00
This is our third winter season here. More trees than the newer RV parks in the area. Nice size park with planned activities. Convenient to shopping and restaurants. Older park but improvements are made every year. We love it here! - Carl and Brenda
Nov 2018 - $47.00
Nice park, well appointed, lots of seasonals, book ahead, far enough away from HWY 10, jets overhead during the day, within 5 miles of all shops, would definitely return. - Tonyl
Oct 2018 - $35.00
What a wonderful surprise this campground turned out to be. The staff - all of them are great. This is a great campground for extended stays. Love the security! They are located right off interstate which makes it perfect to be home base. So much to do nearby. Zoo, shopping, restaurants. The sites are close like most campgrounds. Parking your tow can be challenging but not impossible. We had a picnic table and a BBQ. Loved waking up to the birds chirping and the planes going by. At night it's quiet. They have citrus trees you can pick from in between sites. Nearby a zoo, restaurant and outlet shopping. It's an up an coming area. - NPC

I just can't get past the neighborhood. Too much police activity. Very clean older mobile home park with a sequestered RV section that backs to a busy 24 hr Quiktrip, a major intersection, the noise from the major road, and the train station. Spaces are very tight. Park itself is maybe a 5 or 6, but everything surrounding the park is about a -6 or -7. The surrounding neighborhood is questionable at best during the day with homelessness, sketchy drug addicts, train traffic, bus stop traffic, and foot traffic, but night time is frightening. Pool and laundry are very nice. Staff is very nice. When you arrive pull as close to the gate you can so you aren't hanging out in traffic when you get out to use the keypad to call the office. - RodeoClown
Apr 2018 - $38.00
We chose this park based on location. It is clean, friendly and mostly occupied by mobile homes with about 20% of the park for RVs. Our experience included a relatively high noise level from traffic in the adjacent busy road and QT gas station next door. They do an extremely efficient job of maintaining the park and it shows the care they put in to it. Office staff and maintenance personnel were great and we found the permanent residents welcoming and friendly too. We would definitely stay here again. - Dunwoodyradio
May 2014 - $25.00
The staff was courteous and helpful, and the park is well maintained. We enjoyed the pool area and spa, and the laundry facilities were great. This park would have perhaps received a higher rating except for the fact we had a bicycle stolen off the back of our RV while parked there. This apparently is a fairly common occurrence, even though the park is gated. We stayed here two weeks. - User3615
Apr 2017 - $44.00
Unfortunately we've heard this park has been closed and purchased by the city. They have other plans for the property. Planes, trains, and automobiles! Noise was definitely noticeable. All are basically next door. We enjoyed our stay and the park was very convenient for Mariner and Padres games. - SandyBBB

We've found it! An OASIS in the desert! Donorma RV Park is absolutely a gem. We are so lucky to have found this park. It is not like the sterile parks where they have 80' palm trees that offer no shade, and everyone is stacked up against the neighbors like sardines. The lots come in a variety of sizes to fit most RV's.
Donorma has trees that offer shade, grass, the green mowable variety, a smorgasbord of cacti to check out, humming birds, and bunch of bunnies running around. The management staff (family) are very friendly and helpful. Pretty much everyone was involved in getting us in our space and set up correctly.
We found Donorma while looking for a RV park in the area using Google Maps. All the trees we saw are what drew us to it. We also noticed that it had a pool. Sadly, the pool has now been filled in, and more gravel seems to be arriving daily.
What really made this park stand out from the other parks was the fact that it wasn't a sterile gravel lot, or slabs of concrete and asphalt like all the others we looked at. These RV parks do nothing but radiate heat late into the night which everyone tries to avoid any time of day when you're in the desert.
Anyone that has ever spent any part of the summer season in an RV in the desert looks forward to shade, and a pool, to get away from the endless sun, and heat. We hope the owners realize what a unique gem they have here.
Pro's - Friendly management, trees, green, lots of shade, quiet, location, very clean bathrooms, onsite propane, washers/dryers, pets allowed.
Con's - No pool now, more gravel than needed. - Stone n Pebbles
Feb 2016 - $30.00
We stayed at Donorma RV Park for the Winter of 2016, November thru April. This park is such a great place to stay! We found the managers to be very kind and helpful. They work hard to keep up the park and are always doing landscaping or taking care of the grounds in one way or another. It is a family-managed park and so the park has a family feel to it. There are showers and bathrooms as well as 4 washers and dryers for the visiting rver's to use. There are chickens and rabbits and numerous birds if you like animals. There are pets allowed as well. It has a number of pull thru sites and accommodates rv's up to 40'. This is an oasis in the desert as the landscaping uses fruit and hardwood trees as well as many varieties of flowering plants and bushes. It is a very nice park with very nice people managing. - KarenFay
