The RV sites were very tight. We were not able to do one of the slide outs on the RV, but the friendliness of the owners and the cleanliness of the bathrooms made up for it. The little restaurant on site was a hit with grandpa and our daughter (both early risers) and the owners gave them a great education on fossilized wood. - The Smith Family
Apr 2014 - $30.00
The positive thing about this campground is the location: 2 minutes you are in the center of town. The CG is right on a street with lots of traffic, and you can hear the cars drive at night. The campground is well maintained. There are cigarette butts and dog poop around. Around the Office is metal scrap. The owner repaired cars. The WiFi, supposedly best in town, is quite slow. The rate of $ 30 is based on Goodsam. There are 50 AMPS. We would not come stay again. - Myrvisbig
Mar 2014 - $30.00
Easy egress, gravel mostly level sites. The utilities are accessible and worked. Friendly staff with a restaurant serving great breakfasts. Three blocks to the OK Corral. Gunfights hourly. American Legion two blocks away. Stayed two nights. - darla's dad

The park is a typical Arizona RV Park in that it is all gravel with not much greenery, but heck, it is a desert. The park is well kept, clean and well laid out. Convenient to the doings in Tombstone, the owners also provide a free shuttle to and from town. We would stay there again. - Bertha-3
Mar 2018 - $11.00
No problems with staying here. We've booked for next year. Good management, good walking trails, good pool. WiFi is better than dial-up. Verizon bars suck, I guess due to location. Location is quiet, nearby town of Sierra Vista is excellent for shopping and eating. Water froze up three times even with electric hose. Electric high at .19 per kwh. Propane convenient but at least .50 higher than other venues. - Bossgreen
Jan 2018 - $30.00
Nice clean rv park. It is all gravel but not really dusty. It is down in a ravine so there was no tv reception. Park is handy for visiting Tombstone and surrounding area. We can't complain because we got the last available spot in the park without reservations but it was on the end and had to park the truck across the road next to the trailer dump station. We spent 2 nights and visited Bisbee, Douglas, Portal, Cave Creek Canyon Recreation Area and Chiricahua National Monument. RV Park also had propane. - LarrynMary

This is more a motel than RV park, but the owner maintains a small, mini, RV park. It's very sheltered from noise and pleasant. Good, unobstructed access to both DirecTV and Dish satellites and the power and water pressure are both excellent. The owner, is very pleasant to deal with and will do his best to accommodate you. While the park is more geared to long term, its worth a phone call to see if they have a spot. It's only a 2 block walk to downtown Tombstone and all the fun that goes on there daily. - GregK

Very old park for narrow RV's yet they fit you in. Right in town so you can see all of Tombstone walking 1/2 block. There is nothing here except the neccessities and it serves the purpose. We stayed two nights thinking we needed that to visit the city. Management of the park goes out of their way to help all guests. Tax on site is paid for military active or not. - dalenoel
Feb 2018 - $28.00
If you are here to be a camper, this is not the place. We are travelers so the small sites work for us. Sites are tight but we were never at the site. Downtown is walking distance which is why we stay here. Staff is very helpful and full time residents were fine. We have stayed here 3 times and will return again. No cable and we use our own Wi-Fi. - belanga
Nov 2017 - $35.00
Located in the center of Tombstone with easy access to all the downtown Tombstone sites. All gravel and sites are very very close with some full timers that have some fairly old RV's. Wifi is lousy if you can ever get it to work. If you want the convenience to the local attractions it is great, I would stay again but only if I am staying for one or possibly two nights. - ATV Guy

We wanted to stay at Tombstone for a few reasons. We did a drive through several years ago and thought the setting was beautiful. Also In Passport America it featured ATV riding however, there was no information available to guide us to that offered activity. Staff was not knowledgeable concerning this advertised activity. Also felt that check in was slow and the staff not competent in this area. Expect to spend about 40 min to check in or out The gravel site was not level and we were unable to completely level without lifting wheels off the ground. We found the long term people not friendly or welcoming. I would not recommend nor would I return to this park. We are full timers since 2004 and have a great deal of experience with RV parks. - Linda Gasiorek
Feb 2018 - $26.00
I would have given this a ten as far as the sites and the scenery. It is well kept and clean. Beautiful scenery. My only issues were the water pressure is poor, you have to walk through the clubhouse to get to the pool bathroom and showers, which is not something I like to do if there is a function going on. The main issue was dogs. They say they are a dog friendly park. Nowhere on the website do they mention charging for dogs. When we got there, they said it was 10 dollars per week per dog. We have two. When my wife balked at this they said they would only charge for one dog and gave the good Sam discount on the weekly rate so it worked out the same. Then when she was given the map with the rules, it said they charged 10 dollars a week for people with more than 2 dogs. Since it had worked out the same we did not raise the issue but if you have dogs and they want to charge you look at the rules first. In my opinion if they are going to charge for dogs it should be clear in the rate section of the website so you can decide if you want to pay it or not before you get there. - janel323

This was our first time at this park. The site's are very well set up lots of room between rig's. The laundry is good at $1.75 to wash and 25cents for 12 min drying time. Water pressure is low I am afraid they even stated you would not need and pressure gauge on your hose.I use the park shower's my wife used the rv complained of the poor pressure. I never had to wait to use a park shower but they only have 2 for the men and 2 for the women I would think they could use a couple more for the size of the park. There seems to be things going on they have a clubhouse with schedule for each week we did not join anything just went our own way. People friendly staff very helpful lots of trash barrels and they offer recycle. One thing to remember its colder here than places like Tucson or Casa Granda your at 4 thousand ft or bit higher. Nights got cold so you may want to come here maybe Feb or March well that's my plan for my next trip here. I would stay here again. - william1996

The bathrooms were not filthy but not spotless either and only two bathrooms for the entire RV park- shower and toilet in one room. Therefore there was a wait to use restroom in the morning. They were located inside clubhouse and had to be accessed with a key -Wifi was good. Spot was spacious. Office closed on weekends. There was an after hours number. - flamingotour09
Apr 2017 - $27.00
Last year, I stayed here and the wifi worked well, but this year, I got bumped off every few seconds. The woman in the office said I was lucky to get any connection and that I should go to the clubhouse to use wifi. It was just as bad there. Forget the wifi for the RVs; just ask for the password to the internet service for the office and use that. It worked great. Management always has the same response when campers complain about internet service: "The problem is that people are actually using it!" The solution is simple: upgrade service that can handle today's wildly wired society. Otherwise, the location has two free showers, with toilet and sink, both clean and modern, although one shower room does not have electrical outlets. There's a collection of movies on VHS (!!!), and a library that rivals a small town's collection. Maneuvering was tight, as I had to back in with limited extra space. Laundry will cost you, but there are free indoor pool and hot tub, plus free outdoor pool. There are annoying and frequent speed bumps along the roads in this park, which is a retirement community with RV spaces for rent. site layout is odd -- you get a shed on each site, but the electric pedestal and other wiring for your neighbor is either hooked onto or immediately next to your shed, which is confusing. Finding the place is difficult. Last year, I did the same thing: turned into the wrong location and had to figure out how to get back on the highway. If you're coming from the east, watch for the large red and yellow flags on your left/south -- DON'T TURN THERE. You turn at the next driveway on the left. If you come from the west, watch for signs on Hwy. 90 that indicate the 4-lane road becomes 2 lanes; that's when you put on your right turn blinker and slow down, as the entrance is close. - John_K

This is primarily a mobile home park. However, don't let deter you from checking it out as a camping option. The mobile homes are very well kept and most are occupied by seniors. The RV part is located at the back of the development in its own section and backs up to undeveloped area giving you wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. The sites are gravel with concrete pads for the picnic table. A unique feature is a large storage shed on each site that was large enough to hold our bicycles and other gear. The office staff is very helpful and one of the permanent residents dropped by to encourage us to participate in some of their organized activities. There are two club houses. One has an indoor pool and spa. The other has an outdoor pool (not heated during the winter). There is a large lending library and everything is incredibly clean. The one concern relates to how tight the road is leading to your site. The space itself was 40' long and there was plenty of room to park our truck behind our fifth wheel. However we had to do some tricky maneuvering to get in and out of the spot. So if you are looking for a good, basic spot to stay while exploring this area, Sierra Vista is worth a look. Also, this is one of the few RV parks where the Wi-Fi actually worked! - The Regans

Have stayed here a few times. They warn you to put Ajax, Comet or something similar all around your tires, jacks or anything that touches the ground as they have sugar ants that can invade your rv. Heed their advice, I got invaded this year. Yes it is an older park that could use some work, but overall a nice, relaxing park. The ponds definitely add to this. The sites I have been on have all been comparatively level. Free cable and water pressure and electric were good. - Critter

This is a long term stay membership park, primarily. Some short term users. Pet friendly. Fishing pond, golf, professional/helpful staff, shopping close by. Lots of STICKERS/THORNS so be pet aware, as they WILL get infected. Sunny, warm, little breeze. - work2fish
Mar 2014 - $0.00
We stayed here under Western Horizon Resorts membership. It's been about three years since we were here last and based on some recent reviews we expected the park to be in poor shape. Some of the roads need attention and the park does not have 50 amp service and that's about the only negative we can come up with. Our site (66) and the sites around us had good solid gravel and were level. It was easy to navigate our 40 ft motor home. We had friends parked in the upper level and they were happy with their site. Verizon phone signal was weak but usable and our Verizon MiFi picked up two bars of 4G and also worked fine. Easy satellite dish reception. We are looking forward to future visits. - RalphA

This may not be the biggest but it is one of the best we have encountered during our travels around the mid west. The hosts made us feel very welcome. Nothing was a problem. The recreation room was warm inviting and spotlessly clean. As was the rest of the site. The laundry facilities were fantastic and very inexpensive. Nice not to have to buy one of those cards. If you would like to feel like one of the family go and stay at the Thunderbird RV Park. - Bidgee
Feb 2018 - $35.00
The park had some trees, roads were dirt and in good condition, and easily maneuverable with a 36' DP motorhome. The park is set in from the road maybe 400 feet (behind a radio station), had a well lit sign at the road, and the road back is concrete but not in great shape. Sites were on the average width, and dirt. Power connection was 30/20 and the power pole & sockets were in good condition. Although there is a cable line on the power pedestal, there is no cable or antenna connection. Water & sewer connections were fine, with good water pressure, and the sewer connection point was good, but about 8" above ground level. The RV parking pad was dirt. The WiFi connection was strong (although our site was only 20 feet from the antenna), and the internet bandwidth was excellent (a real rarity). The restrooms were immaculate, but there are no showers. There was a reasonably priced laundry facility in the rec room, which also included cable TV and a pool table. The price was reasonable for the services received. We did notice some road noise, but it didn't bother us. We would rate this park as 9 out of 10, losing the point for no 50A service, average width and no cable/antenna. They also had a gas grill and two very nice swings just behind the rec room along side our campsite. We stayed in a motorhome and would definitely stay here again if in the area. - Don Gagnon

Stayed for 3 nights. Managers were very friendly and helpful. Brand new laundry room (1.00W & .75D), restrooms, Pool table and cable tv in main building behind office. Two bench swings by BBQ area real nice. Other than AZ cockleburrs the transient park was nicely laid out ie. utility hookups, pull thrus and backins. 30A service, Nice water pressure. The extended stay park adjacent to transient area is real nice. Very quiet nights. Best park in the immediate area. Will return when passing through. - Country High

Entrance to park is hard to see and could be easily missed without GPS, the signs are parallel to the road and set back. Once in the entrance turn left, there is no sign pointing to the office in sight. After I found the office on the other side of a closed fence there was no one there to help me. After walking around and trying doors I saw an unmarked door bell next to a locked door. When I rang the bell a woman (the owner?) came out to check me in, after filling out the paperwork and giving her my credit card I was informed she would take cash or check only, this was not mentioned when I made my reservation. The site I was given was between 2 permanent residents and was extremely tight on both sides. When we went back to the office area to pay for our site the restrooms were locked and we were told we couldn't use them. One of the residents said they contained showers but she would no longer let the campers use them. There is no laundry, pool, etc. The hook ups were good, the park is clean but due to the attitude of the woman we had contact with, and the lack of amenities this camp ground is overpriced and we will stay in another park next time. - Long Lake Steve
Oct 2017 - $21.00
First, the park is an immaculate, tree free gravel parking lot. The streets are paved and the sites are generous. You will see management when you check in and out. All sites are metered for power use and the rate is the prevailing power company rate. It's off the main road so nights are quiet. There are some long term residents who will welcome you. When you arrive there will be no office in sight. Now here's where it gets interesting. If you take the center or right road you will not see the "office" sign that is in the left. rear of the park thru a chain link fence gate. The "office" is a Shell gas station from the early 50's. No i'ts not really an operating gas station but as a teenager I worked in one after school just like it. Now back to basics. The power, water are good and your satellite, portable or roof mounted will have no issues. The sewer ground connection could be a challenge though. The sewer entrance is recessed and threaded for a tight connection but is is so far recessed if you screw your adapter on the pipe your elbow will conflict with the concrete lip so a straight in pipe is required. I didn't have this setup so I used a rubber donut and a rock to hold the elbow in place. I can highly recommend this park but not to anyone with active kids. - poorturtle
Mar 2013 - $18.00
Price shown is a weekly rate for the site only. Electric usage is metered and is 14 cents per kwh. This is one of the cleanest parks we have visited. Pride of ownership clearly shows. Sites are gravel and streets are paved. There are back-in, drive-in, and pull-through sites available. Our pull-through was level and all utilities worked well - we were advised by a resident to use a water filter due to minerals, and we did so. Cable TV also worked well. There are several long-term residents in the park. Everyone was friendly and all sites were neatly kept. The only drawback we found, and it is not the fault of the owner, was very loud music on Saturday night from a lounge down the street, but it was over by 10 pm. We really enjoyed our stay here, and will choose this park again when in this area. - 4windstrvlr

This is a very nice place for long term residents, but not nearly as nice for short term. The short timers are out in sites back to back in an area that used to be used for park models (now removed). This means the utilities are in an odd spot. The first site they tried to put us in had the sewer line in the middle of the site, and the manager calmly said we could just climb under the trailer to connect. We said absolutely not, and she finally put us "in the only available site". That site did not have room to park the truck which had to go into overflow area due to landscaping. The entire time we were there other sites were available including a pull through. Laundry was very nice, and the place was very quiet though. - UTTransplant

There's not a lot to say about this park. The roads are tight, the sites are tight and narrow. That's about it. - kathiecarlson
Mar 2017 - $31.00
Mountain View is not just the name of the park. The Huachuca Mountains are right in the backyard. We stayed a month at Mountain View. All sites are level with concrete patios. Laundry room was very clean. We didn't encounter any stickers in the gravel or anywhere, for that matter. The manager informed us that she and her maintenance person pulled out loads of dead or dying shrubbery over the past year. Management cares about this park and their guests. The park is set way back from the highway and very quiet. We would not hesitate to return or recommend to others. - freckles1219
