Overall Rating:

We stayed in this park this past season from November to March. This use to be a very desirable RV park but an egg farm has moved in not far from the park. With this egg farm has come an odor that can be quite unbearable at times and the flies are constant and many. As fewer people use the park, the amenities are becoming fewer and certain areas are now off limits to customers unless the manager wants to use them. There are a few that live in the park permanently but only one whose place is a disaster. We will not be staying here again. We camped at Saddle Mountain RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice. We needed a place 1/2 way between home and Tucson for a one-night stay. Wasn't expecting anything this nice. Large, pull-thru level gravel sites. Cemet patio. Full hook ups. Pool & more. Very quiet. They offer lots of discounts; Escapees is the best discount. People working here were very nice. Was told reservations were not required; they would have plenty of places. Definitely would stay here again! We camped at Saddle Mountain RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We are staying here for 3 months as my wife is a traveling nurse working in the area. We absolutely love this place! We read all of the reviews before coming out here. There are some bad reviews or old reviews I'd like to address. Yes, there is an egg farm about a mile west and you can only get a whiff of it about 5% of the time. I can tell by the population in the park right now that those negative reviews are having an impact. Another topic of poor reviews is the lack of good cell service. I came prepared by purchasing a cell booster for the weak cell signal. But to our surprise when we arrived, we were getting 4 bars of signal. We found out from another resident that Verizon had just installed a new tower a mile away just 2 weeks before our arrival. Another concern for us was the lack of good park Wi-Fi, since reading the bad reviews. I have been playing with it and getting 3 mbs consistently, which is plenty for us to stream shows on our Roku device (And it is absolutely free). They have 4 or 5 Wi-Fi transmitters throughout the park. I'm not sure if that is a new addition or not, but the internet is working just fine and saving us on our Verizon data plan. We also took a trip through a nearby RV park just to see the differences. Man, that place had RV's stacked like wood. You had just enough room for one vehicle on your lot. Compared to that place, we have acreage. Our closest neighbor is about 40' away; the other neighbor is close to 70' away. Of course we are on a premium lot, which are double lots. I could park 9 cars in our lot. The premium lots are $380/month at this park compared to $580+/month at other parks. There are plenty of open lots, which gives you a very spacious feeling. It is very quiet and peaceful! This park has more to do than I can handle. They have Pickle Ball courts, Shuffleboard, a Pool, a Gym, Bingo, Desert off-roading, Billiards, Ping Pong, Jam sessions, Coffee every morning for the guys, etc. AAA+ We camped at Saddle Mountain RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

If you are feeling claustrophobic at the park you are staying at, you may consider this place. It is serene! Shopping is not nearby; it is about 22 miles away, but the views are amazing. There are a group of people who have side by sides and get together every Wednesday to ride into the mountains. They took me out the other day and it was awesome. Golf carts are welcome. Three major gas stations nearby with restaurants. Excellent Maintenance crews working everyday.

Overall Rating:

This place is OK as a overnight but not longer due to an intermittent stench from a huge commercial chicken egg production facility located about 1/2 mile away. The smell will chase you inside your RV.

Full hookup lots, nearby fuel stations with diesel, easy access from I-10, near post office. Nearest shopping is Buckeye (about 20 minutes away) that has a Fry's and Wally World. We camped at Saddle Mountain RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We found this park to be one of the friendliest parks we have stayed in. We enjoyed our potlucks for Thanksgiving and Christmas with the park providing the turkeys. Management listened to all concerns or complaints and takes corrective action when necessary. The sites are very large with plenty of room for vehicles. Security is always out and about even at night, so we felt very safe. We have already booked for next year to stay again. We camped at Saddle Mountain RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The nightly rate was very reasonable with the Passport America discount. Campground is beautifully landscaped with spacious pull-through sites to accommodate large rigs. Self check-in has very clear step-by-step instruction. We will definitely return when the opportunity arises in the future. We camped at Saddle Mountain RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is one of the nicest we have ever stayed in! The staff is friendly, sites large and well situated, clubhouse extra large and nice, and lots of activities for those of us who stay by the month. We will definitely stay here often in the future, as will many of our friends. We camped at Saddle Mountain RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Large level pull-through sites in the overnight section. Utilities all worked well. Did not use park Wi-Fi. Very clean park. Friendly staff. Easy access off I-10, but far enough away to eliminate road noise. Good TV reception from antenna. Will stay here again when in the area. Rate is PA. Extra big sites at this park. Laundry room is large with good machines and it's clean. Rate is Passport America. You can stay here up to 3 nights every 6 months at the PA rate according to the gal who checked us in. Drawbacks with this park - it's quite a drive to shopping, etc. and we had no cell coverage on either ATT or Sprint networks. We camped at Saddle Mountain RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate reflects Passport America. Nice stop-over park while traveling through this park of AZ. Very easy check-in with super friendly staff. Plenty of information about the local area in the office. Follow the directions when hooking up power in the "old" area of the park. Wi-Fi is $2 a day but we did not use it. We camped at Saddle Mountain RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We had high hopes for this park as a stopover, and they keep a lot of sites open for that purpose. It is a large, nicely laid out park with lots of palm trees and a smattering of native fauna and views of some mountains in the distance. The sites are gravel with a concrete living pad but no tables. We were greeted after hours by a friendly gentleman who led us to an overnight end site and registered us and turned on the 50 amp service. All was fine, until BOOM the power tripped off when we tried to use the microwave. We have a sophisticated power management system that protects the coach from high voltage and power surges. After turning everything off except for the TV, the surges continued to trip the system several times. Since the incoming voltage did in fact read higher than normal, we had to disconnect from the power, which ruined our evening. The same gentleman who had registered us drove by and responded that this has not happened before and it must be our rig's problem. This had only happened to us once before in about 14 solid months in this rig and at that public park they admitted to high voltage. So, be warned, especially if you don't have a system that protects you from high voltage and surges. Unfortunately we can't come back here. We camped at Saddle Mountain RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We used the self check-in because the office was closed. Several pull through sites are available for overnight guests. Park is geared towards an "older" crowd. Nice wide streets. Sites are easy in - easy out. Crushed granite sites with palm trees near streets and concrete patio. Long enough to leave the truck hooked up to a 5th wheel. We camped at Saddle Mountain RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
