I really enjoyed my stay here. The sites were clean (back in only) and the grounds were very nice. The real pleasant parts about Desert Pueblo, in my opinion, were all the different amenities they had - picnic tables, clubhouses, nice trees/scenery, putting green, pools, hot tubs, lawn games and so on. We stayed for a few days only as we were passing through Tucson, but it was quite enjoyable and we would've loved to have stayed longer. We'll definitely keep them in mind when we swing back into town. We camped at Desert Pueblo Mobile Home Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The nice lady at the office also gave us a great recommendation to go check out the Mount Lemmon SkyCenter Tour which was such a unique and memorable experience for us. If you're staying there, ask them about the skycenter tour.

The sites are large, deep, and clean. There is no noise from the busy street. When we called to make reservations, the person who answered the phone was curt and rude, but the person who checked us in was pleasant. The biggest disappointments were no Wi-Fi and no cable. This park is a mobile home community, and overnighters are not the focus. We will not stay here again. We camped at Desert Pueblo Mobile Home Park (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

Because the park recently discovered a felon in the park, they now require mobile home buyers and RVers staying a month at the monthly rate to pay $60/couple, in cash, and complete a four page financial application. Some of the information required is your social security number, photo copy of drivers license, mortgage history, employment history including current source and amount of income, bank and credit card account numbers, plus information on ALL vehicles, boats, etc you own. It goes on. Management could not assure that this information would be protected. Interestingly, I was told I could stay as long as I wish at the daily rate and not complete the application. That makes the felon argument sound a little absurd. I would never stay here. We camped at Desert Pueblo Mobile Home Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

I called to make reservations and was told there was a $30/per person credit application charge for anyone staying one month or longer because they had an felon in the park. Not only do I resent the $60 for the credit checks, but every credit check is a negative reflection on my credit report, and I have excellent credit. This is a warning to anyone who is considering staying at this park for one month or more. We camped at Desert Pueblo Mobile Home Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

We camped here for 2 years and loved everything about the park. However when we left in March 2011 we were handed a 4 page RV application and told we must complete it and give the $60 cash for a background check. The application asked for all personal info like SSN, Bank info, Credit card info etc. I called the Manager and she basically told me that it was private property and they could do anything they wanted to protect their permanent occupants. We paid all our bills on time and never created any fuss. We will NOT give this info to anyone and will no longer stay in this park. Daily fee is $34 or $1000/mo. The park is primarily a mobile home park, but RVs are welcome and are treated like long lost friends. There is a guarded security entrance, a guide to the parking site, and lovely shade trees all around. The park is exceptionally well maintained and very clean. The standards are very high for the mobile home sites, and there is evidence of pride of ownership everywhere. The park is set back from Ajo Way, and we heard no traffic noise at our site (350). In the distance we heard a faint train whistle, and overhead there were some commercial and military planes but not excessive. We plan to return to this park in the future. We camped at Desert Pueblo Mobile Home Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

This is a 55+ mobile home park but allow RVers under 55 to utilize sites that do not yet have mobile homes on them. They have a full activity schedule, clubhouse, library, pool, hot tub, and shuffle board and RVers are welcome to use everything. This is a very pleasant community and the grounds are very well maintained. We stayed for 5 weeks. This had one of the least expensive monthly rates in Tucson. We camped at Desert Pueblo Mobile Home Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.
