This is kind of an odd park. It had a nice feel, but some areas seemed they'd be a little tough to navigate. We just stayed one night in one of the spartan pull-thrus up front. Had to make a LONG run of sewer hose and the drain is well above ground which made dumping difficult. I wouldn't have wanted to mess with that very often. Management keeps random office hours (we got there as she was closing up in the late afternoon) and the place is cash-only. It's 55+ but we are in our mid 40's and weren't given any hassle. We used the laundry facilities and they were fine. There was a decent amount of road noise up front. We camped at Justin's Diamond J RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

A snowbird park with mixture of permanent RV & mobile home dwellers. Section for short-term campers was near front in a fairly level gravel area, with very little shade from the hot Arizona sun even in April. Location however was quite good with major attractions very close by, shopping however was a bit of a ride - nearest decent supermarkets 9/10 miles away. Nice enough park that if we're ever in the beautiful Tucson area again we would return. We camped at Justin's Diamond J RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Tucson Sonora Desert Museum literally around the corner - a MUST see! Using the very picturesque Gate Pass over the mountain to Tucson is also a worthwhile drive.

I stayed there for a week and the office was never open (I stopped by nearly a dozen times) nor was there any information on how to contact management or if they would be in the office at specific hours. I have never experienced anything like this. They noted a row to park in until you could be assigned a spot by management. After two days, I just picked a spot. The WiFi code listed was not correct so had to use my cell phone as a hot spot (and will be paying for more data this month because I could not get onto their 'free' WiFi). There was an area for miniature golf and other activities. Putters and balls were there but the Astro turf was so torn up, it was not playable. This RV park is by far the most mismanaged I have been to. We camped at Justin's Diamond J RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Internal roads are wide and paved, sites are gravel, mostly level (needed one leveling board), about 2000 sqft in size and fairly easy to back into, facilities worked well, but are located at the back of the site so you will need longer cords/hoses, site was satellite friendly. Staff were friendly but deal with Christine (owner), park WiFi is free and works best in the early morning or very late at night, otherwise it can be very slow and weak. It's best to bring your own internet solution, T-Mobile cell service was fair to good 4G, same for Tracfone. They do have some activities but not a great abundance like some other parks. The park was very quiet. We stayed here for Feb/Mar again this year and plan to return for Feb/Mar next year. We camped at Justin's Diamond J RV Park in a Fifth Wheel. This is a good size RV park, but it appears that the owners are not reinvesting any of the income back into the park, it is quite run down. They only accept cash or check. The roads and sites are all gravel. We stayed in a premium site which was roomy enough, but the back in sites were tight and hard to maneuver because of campers in front. You are not allowed to use your personal washer and dryer, we believe because owners don't want to incur the cost of water and electricity. We were excited to use the miniature golf, but the course was a total disaster!! The "greens" were all torn up with large parts missing. Each green is outlined with what appears to be landscape timbers that are rotted. There is no way possible that anyone can play on the course!!! They say on their website that there is bocce ball and pickle ball courts, but we didn't see them. The dog run is accessible by going behind a building that appears to be the office/gathering room and private living quarters. Behind there you have to cross a foot bridge that is dilapidated and you have to step over large holes that drop down to stream under the bridge. The stream under the foot bridge had white smelly water in it every time we went to the dog run. There are no garbage cans in or near the dog run to dispose of dog waste. We don't understand why some owners of campgrounds don't put monies back into their parks for upgrades and maintenance????? It was an OK park for a night or two, but we won't stay there again. We camped at Justin's Diamond J RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

They boast of their large sites on the Web and on their brochure but that does not include a couple of sites like 47 and 47A. Most of their sites are spacious, but mine was 12 feet wide and just deep enough for my 25 foot travel trailer. I was supposed to stay there for a week (after making my reservation a month in advance) but only spent one night since there were no other sites available. This was a very bad experience for me in that my expectation of a relaxing week on the outskirts of Tucson were ruined by the owners desire to make a few more bucks by dividing a "2000 sq ft" site poorly and the noise from the campground's power distribution panels directly behind my site! They did refund my money. We camped at Justin's Diamond J RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Owner was excellent! Super friendly and helpful. We stayed a weekend, and while the park was really busy during season, it was a nice place to stay and super convenient for getting to Saguaro National Park. It's a bit outside of town and there's a good amount of road noise if you're near the front. The wifi was ok. There was plenty of space to park both the rig and truck. It can be a little hard to find at night, as the signs aren't very big. We camped at Justin's Diamond J RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed for a week in January & 3 nights in February - I would definitely go back. Lots of snowbirds (no surprise) who have the best sites locked up for months in the winter. Reservations are by phone call only. Don't confuse Justin's with the other park next door - Justin's is better. Very limited number of pull-thru spaces. The do provide some free spaces with no hookups for those who arrive with no reservations - never seen that before. PROS - 5 stars for: $30/night in high season!; extremely friendly staff; large sites with some buffer space between for dingy & lawn chairs, looked like 45" Class As just barely fit, but they did; no-charge park wifi is best I've ever seen (10MBS down and 5MBS up!) but I didn't think to try streaming Netflix CONS - minus 1 star for: sites are gravel, 2" where you park, and 1/4" where you socialize so you're always chasing little rocks out of your rig; no picnic tables, pool or any other amenities; no cable TV and only 5 or so English-language off-air stations; D row space only had 20A & 50A plugs - never seen that before either, but the office loaned me a dogbone converter for my 30A coach at no coast & they had a big stack of them to loan My January space in the D row had a noticeable slope down from back to front, and the hookups were all at the back, so there was not much drop from my sewer outlet to the underground, and my automatic jacks were very unhappy. February space in the A row (drive thru) didn't have the slope but hookups were still at the back end. Some bigger rigs had to employ 'innovative solutions' to get sewer connected from a mid-coach outlet. We camped at Justin's Diamond J RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Jem & Mineral Show in January is amazing, all over town. Pima Air Museum and the Titan Missile Museum and extremely interesting & well worth the ~$10/person entry feel. Try the El Charro Cafe downtown for great Mexican food; also have 2 other locations around town. Food King is the nearest grocery store & it's 20 mins away; very down-scale. Look for the small-box Walmart grocery-only stores.

This is a very clean park. It is located within walking distance of some great desert trails and a short drive to a town park or the national park. The sites were level with central hook ups. The wifi worked ok at the site as did the tv antenna. The owner was on site and very helpful with local directions and information. We camped at Justin's Diamond J RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice easy to find quite park. All spots are on gravel with just basic connections. We had a pull thru spot which was very large. Had room for my daughters truck also on site. Our spot was closest to the rode but very little traffic or noise. Verizon cell service was very good. We camped at Justin's Diamond J RV Park in a Motorhome.

Beautiful desert landscape park with large camp sites. Very clean and extremely friendly owner. Sites have no patios with no picnic tables and are on small rocks which are hard to walk on. The camp roads are paved. The only thing missing here was a swimming pool and fenced in area for LG dogs. It is several miles from town along a country Rd but good value for money.
