This is primarily a permanent "park model" park and not really an RV park. RV sites are limited and with the exception of one section the other rv sites are interspersed between the park models. Sites are gravel with a concrete pad and difficult to navigate because of a palm tree at each site close to the road. Sites are extremely close to each other and your view is the back or front of another park model and limited outdoor space which made it feel very crowded. If a site next to you opened up the permanent residents used it to park additional vehicles. We were in the pet section and the pet area was very limited altho they did provide pet waste bags and containers. We had reserved a site here for two weeks but left as soon as we could make other arrangements. We camped at Rincon Country (East) RV Resort (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We camped at Rincon Country East RV Resort in Tucson in January and February, 2016. The park was beautiful and very well maintained with clean bathrooms, showers, laundry facilities and pool area. There are so many activities available at the park that you can't possibly take part in all of them. Activities include bocce ball, pickleball, tennis, card games, dancing lessons, and a woodworking shop, just to name a few. There are also many excursions available to area attractions outside of the park, along with some live entertainment shows held in the park. The office staff were always professional, courteous and very helpful. The people who camp in the park are some of the friendliest that we have ever met!! Upon arrival, you are greeted by a park ambassador who shows you to your site and helps you get parked. The only negative that we can say is that the lots are tight, but not totally unmanageable. The resort is a gated community, and we felt very safe. The park's location is very close to grocery stores, pharmacies, restaurants etc. We enjoyed the park so much that we have already made reservations for next year! We camped at Rincon Country (East) RV Resort (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Staff was exceptionally courteous at check in. I booked this through the Good Sam Directory. Rating was excellent. However, we were assigned a space that would not accommodate our 44' rig. They graciously allowed us to move to a space that just "barely" allowed the rig to be clear of the road. However, there was a palm tree blocking the door(we just barely were able to get out and in). This is a "retirement community" mostly of mobile homes. I was not aware of this. Beware, this place is """NOT""" pet friendly!!! Nor, is it big rig friendly. We were expected to drive our little dog to the tiny dog park in the "trash" area. We camped at Rincon Country (East) RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Beautiful park. All paved and landscaped to the max. Pet areas adequate. Access is great except that city streets are rough and ill-maintained. Staff are responsive to visitors' requests and very helpful. Leisure facilities and activities keep people entertained and active. Group activities and small, "hobby" clubs are attractive. There is a good mix of overnight sites and residential sites. Peaceful, quiet, and convenient to shopping, the park is a very nice place to stop over, or to spend a season. Many people are leaving to go north for the summer, so the park is even more quiet and spaces are readily available. We camped at Rincon Country (East) RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Tucson abounds with every retail outlet and service center imaginable. The surrounding mountains are beautiful. The airbase is vast and amazing to see. Museums, and natural areas are abundant.

Not as pet friendly as portrayed. Only about one third of the park accepts pets (that is to say where pets are allowed). Walking your pet throughout the remaining two thirds is not permitted. Yes, some inconsiderate owners probably fail to pick up after Fido. For those individuals, however, there are equal numbers (or more) readily available to tell you that pets = pests.

The WiFi is less than desirable and too often your connection fails. Sites are tight for those with larger rigs. Restrooms are 5 star clean and an array of scheduled events are offered weekly.

The future of this park, however, appears to be one of more permanent park models with only limited RV sites. We camped at Rincon Country (East) RV Resort (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

Old park full of park models. Hard to get around in with big rigs. Way overpriced for what it is and the Wi-Fi is a total joke. If you need Wi-Fi don't stop, even though they tell you it works. Have stayed here in the past but after this recent stay never again. We camped at Rincon Country (East) RV Resort (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Good Sam 2014 rated this place a 10-10-10. We wanted to see what the baseline was for an excellent RV park. Tengo Wifi is a joke. You will get a connection for about 2 minutes after which you can forget it! The front office provides you with Tengo's phone number and instructs you to call them. This is a complete waste of time and is passing the buck. Very disappointing. Showers & toilets are spotless but the hot shower is tepid at best. If this is the best Good Sam can recommend, we have a problem. We camped at Rincon Country (East) RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

This is a good location on the southeast side of Tucson. The park is about 90% park models with the remaining sites for seasonal and short-term stays. Some sites gravel, others are paved. The library is well-stocked, but for in-park loan only. It does not have a take-one, leave one policy which would be my only complaint of this park. Many daily activities, entertainment, and even a small weekly farmers' market make it a good place for seasonal stays. We camped at Rincon Country (East) RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

It was our first experience in one of these 55+ parks mostly catering to seasonal guests in park models. So far, we liked it. Staff & management was very friendly and helpful. Park roads are all paved and well maintained. Sites are 45' x 35', backup in, on gravel with a concrete pad in the middle for your table and chairs, truck/vhc on the left, RV to the right. All hookups you need and working. Wi-Fi sometimes got a bit slow in the evening and morning. Clean restrooms. Plenty of things to do like tennis, lawn bowling, horse shoes, whirlpool, pool, woodworking shop, sewing room, library, and plenty more. Pricey on a daily basis. Weekly rates with Good Sam or Passport America are reasonable for what they offer. We liked it, can recommend it and will return. The nightly Passport America discount rate is very reasonable. The resort is beautifully landscaped with most of the park catering to residents living in permanent park models. However, this campground only has back-in RV sites. RV sites are small and difficult to back in. Definitely not big rig friendly. We will not be coming back here. Beautiful, clean, and some of the friendliest staff anywhere. Nice pool and laundry facilities. Indoor jacuzzi. Spaces are wide enough, but the palm trees make it a little tough to back into (otherwise I would've rated this park a 10). Lots of activities. Nice dry wash to walk the dog (no burrs). With the Passport America price you can't go wrong. We'll stay here again when passing thru Tucson. We camped at Rincon Country (East) RV Resort (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed at Rincon East in Tucson. Beautiful park with lovely landscaping all around. Most of the park is for snowbirds and permanent residents living in park models, but several people came over to talk with us and tell us about the park. The office was welcoming. Despite what a previous review said, they are fine with dogs. Just pick up after them and walk them outside the gate. Just like any other park. We stayed in the row next to the gate so it was not an issue and even if we were farther away, its a short walk. The sites are even concrete and easy to navigate assuming you can back up your rig. I would like to come back and stay for a longer time to take advantage of the numerous activities they offer. We camped at Rincon Country (East) RV Resort (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

Do not bring a dog or a kid to this park no matter what they tell you on the phone. I called for a reservation and stated I had a small dog less than 3 lbs. Lady said that was fine. When we checked in, dogs are not allowed anywhere in the park. Only in your coach. Each street is marked with a "no dogs allowed" sign. You are not allowed to walk them down the street. You have to take them out the gate and walk them in the weeds and stickers with the snakes. Children are not allowed to go into the recreation hall for any social function, or the pool when they visit. Sites are too short for a 39 ft motor home. When I called for a reservation, I gave the size of our coach. When we attempted to back in, we had to push the back of the rig against a fence (that backed up to a major road) and the front door only opened a foot before it was stopped by a palm tree. Park is pretty to look at, but it is not worth the rules and regulations or the price. I would not stay here again. We camped at Rincon Country (East) RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

A nice park with mostly park models. The RV area is by the road which made it easy to walk your dog. The sites were tight, but did have landscaping and some shade. I would stay here again. We camped at Rincon Country (East) RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

While this is an excellent park for snowbirds staying for the winter, it's too expensive for short time stays. There's all kinds of things to do if you stay the winter, but the clubs are already formed so that it feels just weird coming in for a few days. The place is big. We expected cable given the high price, but did not get it. Wi-Fi was good. We camped at Rincon Country (East) RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.
