Overall Rating:

We stayed here 3 nights. It appears to be a mobile home park set up so the empty spaces can accommodate RV's. The park is spotless. The roads are wide and paved as are the sites. The bathrooms, showers, pool, and hot tun are excellent. The wifi not so much. It's a locked community which we liked. However, its a bit heavy handed on rules. We got an exception to the 10 year old RV rule since our 15 year old Class C was so well maintained. We also got chewed out twice for walking our dogs on the wrong streets. The east side location is way far away from anything worth doing in Tucson. It's a nice enough park. But, we won't be back. We camped at Rincon Country (East) RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This wasn't our first option, but was glad to find an opening without any reservations in Tucson in February. This is a large park with lots of amenities, lots of snow birds, and lots of park models. Our site was between two park models, but good enough for an overnight stay. It was level and everything worked well. Lots of trees (palms). The park is clean and well cared for. The people were very friendly. Some good views of the mountains can be had. Probably wouldn't stay again, but that's because of the price, not the park itself. We camped at Rincon Country (East) RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

This is a mixed us facility, park models and RV's, mostly longer term residents. The site we were assigned was not the best for a 40 ft MH, sewer connection was at the rear of the lot and higher than the MH drain. Also, there was a raised area at the rear of the lot that interfered with the toad hitch and exhaust. Looked around and we did not see other lots with these issues. Would use it again but request a different lot. We camped at Rincon Country (East) RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We wintered here this year from December 2017 thru February 2018. We chose it because of the 55+ rating and it was in a residential area providing less metro traffic, etc. There was a plethora of weekly/monthly activities sponsored by resort clubs/volunteers. We camped at Rincon Country (East) RV Resort (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

RV sites were very narrow and short. Just able to accommodate our 33 ft fifth wheel. Tow vehicle took up 2/3 of the patio space, leaving little area to entertain. Backing in was a "challenge" as site borders were low flowering hedges. Our site had a palm tree centered at curb/drive area. Backing in and missing the tree and hedges was difficult.

Overall Rating:

This is primarily a permanent "park model" park and not really an RV park. RV sites are limited and with the exception of one section the other rv sites are interspersed between the park models. Sites are gravel with a concrete pad and difficult to navigate because of a palm tree at each site close to the road. Sites are extremely close to each other and your view is the back or front of another park model and limited outdoor space which made it feel very crowded. If a site next to you opened up the permanent residents used it to park additional vehicles. We were in the pet section and the pet area was very limited altho they did provide pet waste bags and containers. We had reserved a site here for two weeks but left as soon as we could make other arrangements. We camped at Rincon Country (East) RV Resort (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We camped at Rincon Country East RV Resort in Tucson in January and February, 2016. The park was beautiful and very well maintained with clean bathrooms, showers, laundry facilities and pool area. There are so many activities available at the park that you can't possibly take part in all of them. Activities include bocce ball, pickleball, tennis, card games, dancing lessons, and a woodworking shop, just to name a few. There are also many excursions available to area attractions outside of the park, along with some live entertainment shows held in the park. The office staff were always professional, courteous and very helpful. The people who camp in the park are some of the friendliest that we have ever met!! Upon arrival, you are greeted by a park ambassador who shows you to your site and helps you get parked. The only negative that we can say is that the lots are tight, but not totally unmanageable. The resort is a gated community, and we felt very safe. The park's location is very close to grocery stores, pharmacies, restaurants etc. We enjoyed the park so much that we have already made reservations for next year! We camped at Rincon Country (East) RV Resort (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Staff was exceptionally courteous at check in. I booked this through the Good Sam Directory. Rating was excellent. However, we were assigned a space that would not accommodate our 44' rig. They graciously allowed us to move to a space that just "barely" allowed the rig to be clear of the road. However, there was a palm tree blocking the door(we just barely were able to get out and in). This is a "retirement community" mostly of mobile homes. I was not aware of this. Beware, this place is """NOT""" pet friendly!!! Nor, is it big rig friendly. We were expected to drive our little dog to the tiny dog park in the "trash" area. We camped at Rincon Country (East) RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Beautiful park. All paved and landscaped to the max. Pet areas adequate. Access is great except that city streets are rough and ill-maintained. Staff are responsive to visitors' requests and very helpful. Leisure facilities and activities keep people entertained and active. Group activities and small, "hobby" clubs are attractive. There is a good mix of overnight sites and residential sites. Peaceful, quiet, and convenient to shopping, the park is a very nice place to stop over, or to spend a season. Many people are leaving to go north for the summer, so the park is even more quiet and spaces are readily available. We camped at Rincon Country (East) RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Tucson abounds with every retail outlet and service center imaginable. The surrounding mountains are beautiful. The airbase is vast and amazing to see. Museums, and natural areas are abundant.

Not as pet friendly as portrayed. Only about one third of the park accepts pets (that is to say where pets are allowed). Walking your pet throughout the remaining two thirds is not permitted. Yes, some inconsiderate owners probably fail to pick up after Fido. For those individuals, however, there are equal numbers (or more) readily available to tell you that pets = pests.

The WiFi is less than desirable and too often your connection fails. Sites are tight for those with larger rigs. Restrooms are 5 star clean and an array of scheduled events are offered weekly.

The future of this park, however, appears to be one of more permanent park models with only limited RV sites. We camped at Rincon Country (East) RV Resort (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

Old park full of park models. Hard to get around in with big rigs. Way overpriced for what it is and the Wi-Fi is a total joke. If you need Wi-Fi don't stop, even though they tell you it works. Have stayed here in the past but after this recent stay never again. We camped at Rincon Country (East) RV Resort (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a good location on the southeast side of Tucson. The park is about 90% park models with the remaining sites for seasonal and short-term stays. Some sites gravel, others are paved. The library is well-stocked, but for in-park loan only. It does not have a take-one, leave one policy which would be my only complaint of this park. Many daily activities, entertainment, and even a small weekly farmers' market make it a good place for seasonal stays. We camped at Rincon Country (East) RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Good Sam 2014 rated this place a 10-10-10. We wanted to see what the baseline was for an excellent RV park. Tengo Wifi is a joke. You will get a connection for about 2 minutes after which you can forget it! The front office provides you with Tengo's phone number and instructs you to call them. This is a complete waste of time and is passing the buck. Very disappointing. Showers & toilets are spotless but the hot shower is tepid at best. If this is the best Good Sam can recommend, we have a problem. We camped at Rincon Country (East) RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

It was our first experience in one of these 55+ parks mostly catering to seasonal guests in park models. So far, we liked it. Staff & management was very friendly and helpful. Park roads are all paved and well maintained. Sites are 45' x 35', backup in, on gravel with a concrete pad in the middle for your table and chairs, truck/vhc on the left, RV to the right. All hookups you need and working. Wi-Fi sometimes got a bit slow in the evening and morning. Clean restrooms. Plenty of things to do like tennis, lawn bowling, horse shoes, whirlpool, pool, woodworking shop, sewing room, library, and plenty more. Pricey on a daily basis. Weekly rates with Good Sam or Passport America are reasonable for what they offer. We liked it, can recommend it and will return. The nightly Passport America discount rate is very reasonable. The resort is beautifully landscaped with most of the park catering to residents living in permanent park models. However, this campground only has back-in RV sites. RV sites are small and difficult to back in. Definitely not big rig friendly. We will not be coming back here. Beautiful, clean, and some of the friendliest staff anywhere. Nice pool and laundry facilities. Indoor jacuzzi. Spaces are wide enough, but the palm trees make it a little tough to back into (otherwise I would've rated this park a 10). Lots of activities. Nice dry wash to walk the dog (no burrs). With the Passport America price you can't go wrong. We'll stay here again when passing thru Tucson. We camped at Rincon Country (East) RV Resort (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.
