Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is great place to stay, even for a few days. 80% of the lots are what they call "park models." Basically a 400 sq. ft. single wide mobile home w/ a little yard & porch. They are very cute & homeowners take pride of ownership & decorate their small yards w/ yard art & plants.

There is a section that is 100% motorhomes, trailers, & 5th wheels. We parked on a level gravel lot w/ a good size patio & concrete driveway for our car between park models, but there were also other trailers/motorhomes around us. It was very quiet except for air traffic landing at the Tucson airport & fighter planes from the nearby military airfield. We were ok w/ the noise. We're proud that out military was practicing so diligently.

There is a beautiful large pool, hot tub, & lots of things to do: card games, shuffle board, wood crafting, quilting, knitting, crocheting, nature hikes, bible study, pickle ball, tennis, & a farmer's market once a week to name a few. Guests are extremely friendly & courteous as is the office & maintenance staff.

The bath houses were very clean and kept up at all times. Negative: the water pressure and temperature would come and go depending on usage. The bathhouse in the section of 100% motor homes had private bathrooms; i.e., toilet, shower, sink all in a private room. The laundry rooms were very clean & kept up at all times. Washers $1.25/dryers $1. Hook ups were great, WiFi excellent, Verizon worked great.

Service companies also drop by the resort. Propane dealer comes twice a week, we saw RV repair people, RV detailing. And there were food trucks a couple of times a week. If you're ever here when the tri-tip guy is: buy the tri-tip, it has a wonderful flavor. We would definitely stay again even if we were staying for a few days. It really is a top-notch place. We camped at Rincon Country West RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Who could believe that until January you can get a Passport America discount at a place like this! We were looking for a stop on the way through the area in December of 2017, this popped up on a search through Passport America and decided to give it a try. Impressive to say the least. As we pulled in and were setting up a couple parked near us invited us for Happy Hour, so friendly all through this beautiful resort. Meticulously manicured and impressive! We used our own Internet and had great 4g coverage with both Verizon & AT&T. We stayed in one of the courtyard sites with a green grass square in the middle. Very close to a back gate that lead to great biking and hiking. We liked it so much we stayed for a week in January of 2018 without the discounted price! someday when we don't want to move around as much as we do I could see spending the entire season here! We camped at Rincon Country West RV Resort (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed there most of January. Streets paved, club rooms clean. Activities galore! This park has access to the "loop" bike path that is paved and runs along miles of Tucson. Everyone was very friendly. We will definitely go next year! Electric is separate..as in most of the West for longer term stays. We camped at Rincon Country West RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

We have stayed at this Resort many times; it is the best park in the Tucson area conveniently located to numerous attractions and Downtown. They have many activities they provide free of charge or at a very low cost. The people are very friendly. The sites are a good size and will accommodate rigs up to 42 feet easily with room for a vehicle beside the RV. We camped at Rincon Country West RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Love Rincon West. Friendly staff, beautifully landscaped grounds well maintained, lots of activities in season. They have the best woodshop I have ever encountered in a mid-range park. Model train club has a great outdoor display all winter. Some of the sites are a little tight. Site had parking for tow vehicle alongside trailer with room between for table and chairs. Good location right next to long bikepath with locked access. Dog parks are large with only rocks. Need trees, shrubs for shade and dogs' entertainment. Dogs not allowed on grassy public areas. Large no pet zones with unclear markings. We were with an RV club and the group facilities were very accommodating with comfortable rally room, and large facilities for group meals and entertainment. Overall Rating:

Arriving in April gave us pretty much the choice of spots to stay as the majority of the winter travellers had headed home. We selected a spot giving us a gap between the few remaining guests and ourselves, this also gave us a false impression of what the park might be like in the winter months as we had room to spread out. Regardless, the spots seemed generous. The pull in is gravel and there is a cement pad patio to the side which provides an excellent place for setting up your outdoor furniture. Parking for a towed vehicle is beside your unit which makes it super convenient. The facilities are spotless and well cared for, as are the permanent homes that grace the first part of the park as you pull through to the office. The swimming pool is large and the temperature was very comfortable for swimming. Of course the mid to high 90 temperatures we were experiencing made the pool even more appealing. The hookups are located in a convenient spot, the only issue we had was the opening was small so we had to do some improvising to get our nozzle to fit. Water quality was excellent and there were no noted fluctuations in the power supply. The proximity to the walking/bike path (The Loop) is excellent. Get a key for a small refundable deposit when you check-in so you can use the back gate which gives you easy access to The Loop. There is an excellent coffee shop within an easy bike ride. We will definitely return for another stay. We understand you need to book early for the winter months. We camped at Rincon Country West RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Huge park aimed at longterm residents. (Over 1100 spaces) Lots of activities although the "clubs" weren't meeting when we were there. Attended a great steel drum concert one night. Stopped here to have a look since we have friends that spend a few months here every year. We were put alone on a gravel parking space with a cement patio and a tree. We had to disconnect as the space was too short to leave truck connected. Parking next to patio on our site. No one talked to us or were friendly. We were disappointed and decided if we decide go back we need to spend more time and have at least one other couple with similar interests as us. Lots of park models in the community. We were in the transient area and since we didn't have a pet, we were all alone. We camped at Rincon Country West RV Resort (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

The nightly rate I posted is based on what we paid for the 2 weeks we stayed. This is a nice park, not to far from I-19 and I-10, but far enough away that you don't get the traffic noise. What you do get is the sound of planes flying overhead, usually during the day, because of the proximity of the airport and the air force base.

The people, employees and other tenants, are friendly, with lots of amenities, and things to do. The park is gated, with a manned gate during the day, and an access code, for when the gate is not manned.

The interior roads are paved, and the site we were on was gravel, with a concrete patio, and a picnic table. The connections for the electric, water, and cable TV are at the rear of the site, with the sewer on the side. One note, when backing in, watch for the sewer connection, as some of the sites are narrow. Also, we had to use our 5 foot sewer hose extension, to connect, as the regular hose was too long.

We had a tree in front of our patio, and they do not allow parking on the street at night, so we had to park our toad by the patio, putting it close to our neighbor's rig. We had some packages delivered, while there, and the FedEx trucks came right to our site. We would stay here again. We camped at Rincon Country West RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Pima Air and Space Museum and while there, get tickets to see the Airplane Boneyard. Arrive early, as tickets for the boneyard sell out pretty quickly.

I sampled several commercial parks in tucson this season and this was the best. Sites are average size for commercial parks. I was in #69, part of the dog owners area and backed in to rear fence with housing behind. I dont tow. This was the friendliest park I visited, absolutely wonderful people. Nice dog areas, a long walk bike path right nearby, pretty quiet except for occasional jets. Only thing I'd like is a way to get from one dog section to the other while staying within the park. I plan to come back next year. We camped at Rincon Country West RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Our plans changed and we were lucky to get a place as this was the only campground that had 2 nights available on short notice. We checked in at 5:05pm and the office closed at 5:00. Therefore, we had to check-in at the gate with the guard. The guard was extremely polite, however, he didn't explain how to park on the site. We did what we thought was right and woke up the next morning with the neighbor's truck parked under our living room slide. When we checked in the guard said we had to go to the office the next morning to finalize check in and paying. I had no problem with this, but the office didn't open until 10:00am and we had morning plans. So we left for our activity and then checked in when we returned about 11:00am. That was OK. However, the neighbor had complained about how we parked. So we had to bring in our 4 slides so that we could move the coach over about 4 feet. The office has a flyer about how to park, however, the gate either doesn't have that or the guard forgot to give it to us. It would have been nice to have known their parking rules prior to actually parking. For such a large park it was surprisingly very quiet at night as far as people and pet noises. It is in the flight path of either an airport or an airbase. But, the planes didn't bother us. The streets are paved but everywhere else is pea gravel. All of the sites and all of the landscaping. Even the doggie park is only gravel. The gate is manned until about 11:00pm and even though it is so large, we felt very safe. We camped at Rincon Country West RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

We have been coming here for three years and the place is going downhill more each year. There are many activities, a Woodworking shop, Lapidary, Ham Radio, Pottery, Pool and Billard Tables, Cards, weekly Bingo and other games Bridge, Texas Hold 'em, Cardo etc. They have Bocci & Pickle ball and one pool 2 hot tubs. They have 2 dog areas one is complete the other one was fenced in December and forgot about by the park since then with no safe agility training in working order. Now for the negatives. The pool seems to break down each year, this year it happened twice for a total of about 20 days out of service. The power rates are in addition to your monthly rate and are exorbitant including a ridiculous fee of $10 pr site each month to read the meter. The garbage cans are overfilled each week with mountains of trash piled around the dumpsters at least twice a week. Until this year you could always reserve the following year at the same rate you pay this year, if you stay three months and leave a deposit of one month for the following year. No more, now they will charge you whatever rate they dream up for next year. Last year their were 2 rate increases for those who own park models here. As the rates continue to rise, the park owner continues to cut back staff and hours. There is no snack shop, store or restaurant here. Food trucks come in about once a week. The first time we stayed here we gave it 10's, since then the overall rates go down each year. Even though we have reservations for next year, we may not return until the Cheap Skate Owner dies or retires, haven't made up our minds yet. We camped at Rincon Country West RV Resort (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a typical Arizona park model/RV park. About 70% of the park is dedicated to permanent park models and 30% to RV sites. The roads are narrow and the RV sites are not at an angle, making backing in with a big rig extremely difficult. The RV sites are on pea gravel with cement patio pads. There are a few low trees on each site but shade is not available. Nice amenities and facilities throughout the park. Sites are just too tight and sparse for our liking. We will not stay here again. A very clean, large RV resort style park. We camped here one week, so rate reflects weekly rate. Good Sam will not give weekly or daily discount. People were very friendly, laundry was excellent with three laundry locations. Pool was very nice, good rules on locations. You could wash your RV once while there. Attended a few functions, weekly activities. Grocery stores near the park were not the typical nice ones that we were used to in AZ. Had to drive to others further away, the close ones were a little seedy. The only complaint I would have is this is the noisiest park I've ever stayed in anywhere. Continuous planes going overhead up until 11pm or 12pm. One night we had helicopters continuously flying around and around at 10pm. Quieter during the day, so take a nap, you'll need it if your not used to the planes. Very good security w/entry gates, guards, high fences. Occasional food trucks stop to offer goodies for consumption then or later. Saw a Schwann's truck driving through one night. Weekly Farmers Market was small but very good products with the few that were participating. We camped at Rincon Country West RV Resort (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

We were pleasantly surprised to find an RV Park for people over 55. We leave our pets at home with a sitter when we travel, so we were happy to stay in the No Pet section of the park. We didn't hear any barking dogs.

We had planned to stay for 4 nights, but after the first night we extended that to a week. This is an unusually fun and social RV Park. Everyone was so friendly and there were so many activities. We play pickleball. There are 8 courts. We even got a free lesson. We are going to stay at least a month next time.

Check out their web site to see all of the amenities. It is a gated community with an 8 foot fence all around. They have 24 hour security. We saw some of the cameras in the park. I am an older woman and I felt safe walking alone at night.

It is quiet except for occasional traffic noise. I don't know why because it is quite a distance from the freeway. It is on the airport flight path, and we heard some planes. Some were military. They seemed to stop at night. I don't like noise, but this didn't bother me. We camped at Rincon Country West RV Resort (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.
