The owner of this park lives on site, met us at the front entrance, and was very informative and helpful, a big plus! We were in this park due to its location in Tucson. It is not pretty, but for a few days it works very well. All of the utilities worked well, water pressure was good, the site was very level and our Verizon signal was strong. We would come here again. We camped at Sentinel Peak RV Park in a Motorhome.

Walled and paved but with large green park across street make this a very pet friendly stop. The on demand free shuttle during office hours was a nice bonus. Pool was small and super clean. Road runner watched us from wall. We camped at Sentinel Peak RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Close to down town. The walk was nice. The rv park very small. They had restrooms..no shower facilities. They have a big received room..that was so hot and nobody used it..could have put In showers there. Not much of an area to walk pets. We stayed for three days. The pool was not heated. It is a clean park but very tiny. We camped at Sentinel Peak RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

As many others have said, the customer service, cleanliness, and location of this park are SUPERB. We've stayed at many RV parks in Tucson over the years and this is our new favorite. Before we checked in, we looked at all the things to do in the area and you are literally so close to everything. We came to see the Gem Show at the convention center (about 2 minutes away by car) and wound up exploring so much more. We checked out the light rail which was AWESOME. It takes you through all these neat areas of downtown and the food options are endless. They have a free shuttle too which is great if you don't have a toad, but we preferred to walk everywhere since the weather was so nice and everything was within a few blocks anyway. We camped at Sentinel Peak RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is an excellent location to visit downtown Tucson. The campground is very close to I-10 and about 6 blocks to the trolley. The trolley takes you to downtown and to the University of Arizona. There is also a shuttle service Monday thru Friday to a street car stop.

The campground has 26 sites - 2 of them were being used by work campers. There are 6 pull-thru sites that are reserved for daily and weekly customers. There pull-thru sites can accommodate any size rig. Some of the back-in sites were being used by monthly residents.

The interior road and sites were on asphalt and were relatively flat. The utilities for the pull-thru sites were in the middle and the back-in sites were located in the back. All sites have 50/30/20 amp electrical service along with sewer and water. The voltage was very good. Each site had a picnic table.

Wi-Fi was available at all sites. Verizon air card and phone reception was good.

The clubhouse consisted of a very large TV, pool table, ping pong table, tabletop soccer foosball and a small book exchange. There is 1 bathroom per gender along with 1 washer ($1.75) and 1 dryer ($1.75). There are no showers and only 1 washer and dryer due to Tucson's zoning laws. There is also a very small clean pool.

There was some road noise along with train whistles throughout the night. Being within a city, this is to be expected.

We would definitely come back to this park. We have a 32 foot 5th wheel. We camped at Sentinel Peak RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

I find this park hard to rate - it's an excellent location, the customer service is superb, and the weekly rate is reasonable for the location. The park is in great condition, and they expend a lot of effort keeping it that way. With that being said, it's really just a small parking lot near downtown Tucson. It's not right off the interstate, but was still pretty noisy. The sites are somewhat close together, but there is plenty of room for slides on both sides. Parking of tow/towed vehicles is very tight. There was wifi, but it was broken for four days of my stay, and they could not fix it. On the one night that the park was full to capacity, my electric heater would not operate. It was fine after the park thinned out again, so it may have been an electrical issue with the park being so full. Still, I can't say enough about how great the customer service was. The location is fantastic for getting around Tucson, and very close to downtown and the University area. Cell service is great. We camped at Sentinel Peak RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed here for 4 days in a pull through site, checking to see if this would be a good option for a longer stay next winter. Basically a paved lot with tight sites and a pole shed building with an office, restrooms, and small laundry room. No showers. Park rules are not enforced, barking dogs were left unattended all day in several trailers and no enforcement of quiet hours. Had to clean up cigarette butts and other debris left on our site. Lots of night noise from trains, traffic, and nearby apartments. Would not stay here again. We camped at Sentinel Peak RV Park in a Motorhome.

TIS in downtown and convenient to what anyone could want or need. It was quiet, exceptionally clean, and has new asphalt covering as of April 28, 2016. It is located in what appears to be a nice neighborhood (no train whistles, etc.).

The laundry room is air conditioned and there is a game room. They require jack pads, but loan them to you from the office at no charge.

This is a small park (23 total sites). The sites are tight, their WiFi is satellite so it's poor (typical for campgrounds); however, even our own Wifi could only get slow 3G in this area. There are no showers (restroom only) and no Cable. The pool is a shallow "splash" pool.

Again, this RV park offers convenience with electric, water and sewer with a DOWNTOWN location. We camped at Sentinel Peak RV Park in a Motorhome.

This was a tough one for us to rate. As others have said, the location is the main draw for this new RV Park, being very close to downtown Tucson. The downside of being downtown is that the park is little more than a paved RV parking lot with a very thin strip of gravel between each site (check the Google satellite view for details). The RV park was very clean and the camp hosts were friendly and helpful. The price (weekly rate) was good for a downtown park, but the free WiFi is satellite-based and was unusably slow. The city park across the street and down a block (Menlo Park) was a great place to walk our dog each day, since the RV park is tiny and mostly paved. If you want to be close to Tucson and are OK with tight quarters, Sentinel Peak provides a good compromise between location, price, and site/amenities. We camped at Sentinel Peak RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is an inner city campground of 30 sites. It's new and as it was once a service lot it's mainly asphalt and gravel surrounded by fences but with a small tree and a picnic table at each site. The people that run it are helpful and really try.
The down side is only one washer and one dryer and the very poor internet. We were told that due to all the surrounding businesses and condo there is a lot of interference even with boosters. Perhaps seek your own service.
All in all a good location. Walking distance to stores. We will use again. We camped at Sentinel Peak RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

As they say in real estate: Location, Location, Location. This is a small, urban campground with eighteen back in sites (ranging from 30-50') surrounding five 70' sights. This small campground also has an office, clubhouse and small (wading) pool. We stayed here because we don't tow and like to be near public transportation. Surrounded by restaurants and only 6 blocks from public transit, this park delivered exactly what we needed. The campground hosts are work campers that are dedicated to making your stay very enjoyable. They even offer a complimentary movie Saturday nights in the clubhouse with free beer and snacks. Since this campground is only 6 months old, everything is spotless. We camped at Sentinel Peak RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Tania's 33 is only two blocks away and offers the best breakfast burritos you may ever eat. Also treat yourself to Indian Fry Bread, only 1 block away. Tucson is among the most bike friendly cities in the country and the 100+ mile loop will provide hours and hours of entertainment. If you like to walk, you can easily walk to downtown Tucson. If you like to bike, bring it.

First of all, the $19 daily rate is $499 for the month of November plus $70 in electricity charges.

This is a small but wonderful RV park that is centrally located to just about everything you'd want to do in the Tucson area. It looks like it was an auto repair business in a previous life (the clubhouse has large garage doors that open up, and the lot is surrounded by a brick wall topped with chain fencing and inward-facing barbed wire at the very top). Still, with only 23 spaces, you had a sense of privacy due to the fact that the spaces all angled in against the wall. When we would look out the front side windows in our motorhome, we'd just see the tow vehicle to our left and the side of a 5th-wheel to our right. The inward-facing barbed wire and angled parking kept us from deploying our awning, but that was the shady side so it wasn't a big deal.

The owners held a Thanksgiving pot-luck for the everyone to partake in (we had other plans, but when we came back, the clubhouse was pretty much packed and they had set up a big-screen projection TV to screen a movie).

Other than the awning issue, our only other quibble was pretty much out of their control but an issue all the same - noise. Not from the road out front (much), and not from 1-10 a few blocks to the east, and not really of the aircraft, but of the TRAINS. Tucson has several tracks that parallel I-10 to the east, and when the trains go through - and they do all night long - they blow and Blow and BLOW their horns. We like to crack a window in the bedroom that is up near our heads and turn on a ceiling vent so that air flows in through the window. Nice for getting cool air, but terrible for hearing even more train noise.

Anyway, you've been warned. If noise keeps you awake, you might want to look elsewhere. Otherwise, stay here. If we return to Tucson, we will stay here despite the noise. We camped at Sentinel Peak RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a small, new park about a mile and a half from downtown Tucson just west of I-10. It only has 23 sites one of which is occupied by the camp host. It is located in an old residential area surrounded by apts, homes and a park. If you are looking for a large grassy spot with trees and a big view of mother nature this is not the park for you. However, if you are looking for a good campsite, close to downtown activities, managed by some really great people than this is the place. We camped at Sentinel Peak RV Park in a Motorhome.

I don't usually give a park 5 stars but the park is clean, quiet (there is an occasional train) and the pull-thru site spaces are 75' long and wide enough to handle huge rigs like my 65' train. Parks that can't handle us are still out there & since there are more & more of us who are full timers, and have larger rigs because this is our home.

While this is a small park, it is well laid out and every site is full service. There are 23 sites, 5 are pull through. There is a game room, laundry, and a small pool. There are currently no showers but the owners are trying to get permission from the city to add them. The couple who own the park are very nice and will do their best to help out in any way they can. Since this park has only been open since September 2015 everything is new.

We are here for the winter and it looks like a great place to stay. It is close to just about anything you might need & they will shuttle you somewhere if needed. I highly recommend this park. We camped at Sentinel Peak RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a small park paved with asphalt and walled in. That being said, it actually felt very nice. The back-in sites have rocks between them and a variety of local flora. Overall, it felt clean and friendly - which was probably due in part to the warm welcome from the staff.

This park is located in town and it's a great place to walk around or shop. Typically, we prefer greener parks, but this is an excellent place to start exploring in-town Tucson. We camped at Sentinel Peak RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
