Overall Rating:

We stayed for several weeks in June and will stay the 1st week in July. What has made this Park so special is the Manager and her significant other. She is not just efficient at what she does, but she is incredibly helpful solving any number of problems that come up. When we lost power in our Class A (106+ degrees), her significant other offered to install new house batteries for me. Remember, it was hot as h#%! and the batteries weighed over 65 pounds each! He never complained and installed them quickly and correctly! The Park itself is very clean, centrally located near downtown Tucson, AZ, and has a cute little swimming pool and large Clubhouse with ping pong, pool table, games, a library and a big screen TV. Yes, there isn't much shade, but we just have to wait a few years for the trees to grow! After making my reservations, the manager sent me a complete Park Map. The best part was how she showed the way into the Park and how to enter our space. Most parks just let you figure that out on your own! I would recommend this Park as the best, most friendly place to stay with your RV in Central Tucson! We camped at Sentinel Peak RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Location, location, location are the key reasons to stay at this park. This is an RV oasis in the heart of Tucson. They have taken a large city lot and added all the things you look for in a place to stay with your RV, even a small pool. A combination of wide, but closely spaced pull thru and back in sites, nicely level and well equipped. There is a "club house" that offers a comfortable lounge, table tennis and a small library. The laundromat facilities are also in the club house so you can wait in comfort while doing your laundry. BE AWARE that this park offers Passport America discounts on Monday - Thursday from April to October but it is not obvious on their website. Once they have charged your stay they have no way to reverse those charges and offer the lower PA rate. All in all, a great place to stay, especially if the University or other urban locations are your local destination. We camped at Sentinel Peak RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

If you are looking for a resort, this is not it. However, if you are looking for a convenient location, this is the place. As others have pointed out, this is basically a paved parking lot with a few trees around the periphery. The small park is well maintained and the staff was exceptionally welcoming and helpful. We had a pull through space, which was large enough for our trailer and tow vehicle. The sites are close together, but there was enough room for our slideout. The location is definitely urban, so expect some traffic noise. There was some distant train noise, but not bothersome. The park is no more than 10 minutes drive from downtown Tucson with many restaurants and other amenities. Nothing within easy walking distance, though. The park has a small pool,. which we didn't use. We camped at Sentinel Peak RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The park suggests that the Tucson trolley is close by. However, the nearest stop is a mile away though a shabby neighborhood, so I wouldn't count on it. We had a great seafood dinner at the Mariscos Chihuahua restaurant a mile from the park on Grande Ave. Another place nearby is Mercado San Augustin on Congress St. This is a beautifully rehabbed old building with a number of shops and restaurants, including a fabulous Mexican bakery.

We stayed in a pull through which are small but very adequate. The staff is very friendly and also very helpful. They have a shuttle service if you need one and they also have a game room with pool table, ping pong table, TV lounge, and table and chairs for various activities. Not the best area of town but it is a safe place to stay. There is plenty of walking paths in the area. Great location for site seeing. Would stay here again when in the area. Very small RV parking lot in the city. Tight turns for big rigs but doable. Very narrow, close sites and some are long enough for big rigs. Paved, level and utilities worked well. We had no problem with Wifi. Everything is clean and well maintained. As convenient to Tucson as you can get. Surprisingly traffic noise is not bad and also frequent train whistle can be heard but did not bother us. We would stay here again. We camped at Sentinel Peak RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Our 35 foot motor home and our 18 foot flat bed for our car fits nicely in the space we were in with extra space for our car too. The clubhouse is big enough for a large gathering with A Large TV screen, a Fooseball Table and a Pool Table. The clubhouse is very clean. The park is very immaculately maintained. As for pets we had to take our dog out of Sentinel Peak park, which we didn't mind as this gave our dog more exercise. We loved being within walking distance to the grocery stores, restaurants, department stores, and fast food. The noise from the trains never bother us from sleeping. And we never heard any traffic noises. Now to tell you about the manager and her husband. We got there 17 Nov and was planning to leave 31 December, but had to stay until 31 January due to Heath issue. We talked to the manager and were able for us to stay an extra month until my beloved were able to travel. The day we were suppose to leave our motor home was inoperable causing us to delay for 4 hours. The Manager's husband and our dear friend helped start our motor home so we could leave. The manager and our friend called us to see if we made it safely to our next destination and the answer was yes. I have never met a couple that would go the distance to help and give a courtesy call to a client. The manager and her husband are very proud of Sentinel Peak park and they do an immaculate job. Also they do every thing they can to help their clients. Thank you dear friends . We camped at Sentinel Peak RV Park in a Motorhome.

It is a RV parking lot with no grass. My site was plenty long and wide. I had a 2' x 70' lawn for my dog. You must walk your dog down the sidewalk outside of the park. Not bad, just no place for pets if they want grass. The place looks like new. Well maintained and clean. The managers are very helpful. Conveniently located inside Tucson. This would be a great place for a rally. Nice meeting room, looks new. We camped at Sentinel Peak RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We have stayed before and will continue to come back to this great RV park. The location is outstanding and it's so close to Downtown and the University of Arizona. We did the light rail this last time and it was AWESOME! We've staying in many Tucson RV parks over the years, but this place is our first choice. It's always clean and the customer service is top notch. If you're staying in Tucson, this is the place to be. We camped at Sentinel Peak RV Park in a Motorhome.

The owner of this park lives on site, met us at the front entrance, and was very informative and helpful, a big plus! We were in this park due to its location in Tucson. It is not pretty, but for a few days it works very well. All of the utilities worked well, water pressure was good, the site was very level and our Verizon signal was strong. We would come here again. We camped at Sentinel Peak RV Park in a Motorhome.

Close to down town. The walk was nice. The rv park very small. They had restrooms..no shower facilities. They have a big received room..that was so hot and nobody used it..could have put In showers there. Not much of an area to walk pets. We stayed for three days. The pool was not heated. As many others have said, the customer service, cleanliness, and location of this park are SUPERB. We've stayed at many RV parks in Tucson over the years and this is our new favorite. Before we checked in, we looked at all the things to do in the area and you are literally so close to everything. We came to see the Gem Show at the convention center (about 2 minutes away by car) and wound up exploring so much more. We checked out the light rail which was AWESOME. It takes you through all these neat areas of downtown and the food options are endless. They have a free shuttle too which is great if you don't have a toad, but we preferred to walk everywhere since the weather was so nice and everything was within a few blocks anyway. We camped at Sentinel Peak RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed here for 4 days in a pull through site, checking to see if this would be a good option for a longer stay next winter. Basically a paved lot with tight sites and a pole shed building with an office, restrooms, and small laundry room. No showers. Park rules are not enforced, barking dogs were left unattended all day in several trailers and no enforcement of quiet hours. Had to clean up cigarette butts and other debris left on our site. Lots of night noise from trains, traffic, and nearby apartments. Would not stay here again. We camped at Sentinel Peak RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

I find this park hard to rate - it's an excellent location, the customer service is superb, and the weekly rate is reasonable for the location. The park is in great condition, and they expend a lot of effort keeping it that way. With that being said, it's really just a small parking lot near downtown Tucson. It's not right off the interstate, but was still pretty noisy. The sites are somewhat close together, but there is plenty of room for slides on both sides. Parking of tow/towed vehicles is very tight. There was wifi, but it was broken for four days of my stay, and they could not fix it. On the one night that the park was full to capacity, my electric heater would not operate. It was fine after the park thinned out again, so it may have been an electrical issue with the park being so full. Still, I can't say enough about how great the customer service was. The location is fantastic for getting around Tucson, and very close to downtown and the University area. Cell service is great. We camped at Sentinel Peak RV Park in a Motorhome.
