This is a very nice park but it is surrounded by barbed wire fence there are 2 pools and hot tubs but they are small and The campground is huge roads are nicely pave sites are larger than usual for koa we had no problem leveling a class c motorhome with drive up ramps in front I did not see sites that were that I level which has been mentioned the sewer had a threaded connection which was an issue in other reviews basically it would be a ten except for the noise it is right beside a major road it is near i10 it is between an Air Force base and an international airport and you can hear trains in the daytime the only issue is the planes but at night we had to run our air conditioning fan for white noise so we could sleep. We camped at Tucson / Lazydays KOA in a Motorhome.

The park is very nice been to several KOA they all seem to pride themselves on keeping a good appearance .This is the first time at this one and I would return good location friendly staff. The other guest seem very nice they have fruit trees through out the park help yourself . There is cable tv with many channels to choose from . Wifi is a lot better than many places I been to as we all know wifi can be very spotty due to the amount of people using it I must admit this is pretty good for the # of people in the park. I f I had a problem well it is a KOA and they tend to be a bit pricey however I knew that when I sign on you want a nice park with nice big pull throughs well your gonna have to step up and pay for it. We camped at Tucson / Lazydays KOA in a Motorhome.

The rate is based on a monthly stay. This is one of our favorite parks and this year we are spending three whole months here. The sites are wide and nearly all have a citrus tree on site. The pads are concrete with a patio and picnic table. Some sites also have grass and fire pits. The park amenities are wonderful too. Two heated swimming pools, a workout room, two super clean laundry rooms, miniature golf greens, horseshoes and game rooms with air hockey, billiards, pin ball and shuffle board. Loads of fun activities on the weekly calendar like mini golf tournaments, poker, bridge, bingo, crafts, water aerobics, group power walks and more. There are several fenced dog parks - one that is HUGE. The cantina, Texas BBQ Rush, is new to the park this year and features outstanding barbecue dishes with five star ratings on Yelp. The weekly DJ and live acoustic blues are excellent. We also rented four of the cabin/casitas between Christmas and New Years and they are just luxurious for cabins! They come furnished, air-conditioned, sleep 6 - 8 and have a Keurig-type coffee makers. The internet is better than many parks we've encountered. We will be back every winter! We camped at Tucson / Lazydays KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

I've stayed in a lot of so called RV resorts - this one truly deserves the name. It's very high end with many amenities. Check in very easy, a mistaken charge was promptly fixed when we noticed it and asked. Sites are close, but ample and citrus trees between most sites provide a bit of privacy. Barbecue restaurant on site had some of the best brisket I've ever eaten. A very impressive amount of infrastructure and high level staffing makes this a top end place. If I were to offer a small caveat, it would be this: the place is huge, with many many top of the line rvs. It is not 'camping' - it is more like staying in a large impersonal resort. People really keep to themselves. Hardly anyone seemed to grill outside, for example, in contrast to many other campgrounds. This isn't necessarily a criticism. That's what a lot of people like. There are quite a few group activities like yoga, senior fitness, and fitness walks, as well as a poker nite. I didn't try them out so can't say. Other favorable reviews of this place are accurate and I won't repeat what they have to say. We camped at Tucson / Lazydays KOA in a Travel Trailer.

It was a golf trip. Ventana Ranch and Notah Begay courses were highly rated by the golfers in the group. The Desert Museum was also excellent, with a hummingbird aviary and a regular aviary that we could walk thru.

I'll keep it short - great campground, you must stay here, and read all the other reviews for details (everyone seems to hit all the high points). But here are some issues for you to consider: -The sewer connections are far back on your site, so you may need up to 30' of sewer hose. Plus, if you have hose such as a Rhino hose, with a screw in adapter, it will not screw in due to the design of the (otherwise excellent) sewer connections. So bring a brick (alas, no big rocks in this campground). - The pet and hammock sites are along the main roads. - Only two (but excellent) laundry/pool areas, so most people have a long walk (or drive) to get to them. - Note the sites are gravel, not paved, but you do get a paved picnic area and paved area to park your tow. The gravel is level and clean. - IMPORTANT TIP IF YOU WANT SHADE - They offer unique, "shaded" campsites under a solar array. But from November-February, the sun is at such a low angle, these sites are in baking sun all afternoon. So much for paying a premium for shade! BUT...the rows of (cheaper) sites just to the north of the solar array catch the shadow from the structure. So if you camp there, you get the shade but don't pay a premium! - Park is safe, with controlled access, and quiet. We camped at Tucson / Lazydays KOA in a Motorhome.

This is an excellent KOA, close to Tucson. The pool and hot tub are well looked after, the showers are clean, and the sites are spacious. Visitors are welcome to pick oranges, lemons, and grapefruit from the trees at the sites. This is a big park, with many sites fairly close together. We like this resort. It is nicely laid out with wide blacktopped avenues and plenty of fruit trees planted between generously sized sites. The interior sites are pull thru. The perimeter sites are back-in. Each has a patio table with four chairs on a concrete pad. The RV sits on gravel and our site was sloped upward a bit but reasonably level side to side. There is a blacktopped parking area for the vehicle in front of the patio. Water pressure was 45psi. 50a AC is conveniently placed and power was stable. Wi-Fi is Tengo Internet, free and one of the best provisioned we've experienced. Cable TV is available although we used OTA which received around 40 channels with all the major networks. The park grounds and facilities are very clean and well maintained. They pick up garbage placed in front of the site throughout the day and offer recycling bins for use too. We will come back again. We camped at Tucson / Lazydays KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Lazy Days has a service and sales area adjacent to the park. Their service business is huge and I was able to get a part for the RV that Camping World didn't stock. Parts prices were reasonable and competitive.

This is our second time at this "resort". They have added two areas with cover that consists of solar panels. Now if you park under them and face west you have cover for most of the day but in the late afternoon and evening the sites in the back rows benefit not those parked underneath. Sites are gravel with a small patio with a table and chairs and a blacktop pad for your tow vehicle or toad. Sites are real spacious but there is a bit of space in between. There are orange trees at most sites. This park is huge and there is noise from the AF base but its not bad. There is an onsite restaurant which we did not try as it seemed to be lacking in service. The bathrooms, laundry and pool were kept clean while we were there. The dog park is huge and kept cleaned and bowls for fresh water for the dogs and poop bags are available. Our dogs loved it. We stayed 7 nights and selected the least expensive option. The cost was $47.95 per night less 10% discount for KOA ValueKard plus 50 cent AZ Occupancy Tax plus 12% tax. Our average cost all-in per night was $48.85. The reservation process is always easy with KOA. CG staff is super friendly including office staff and maintenance/grounds crew. Everyone always has ready a smile and a wave. All hook-ups worked perfectly. Satisfactory signals for Verizon cell, Verizon mifi and DirecTV. They offer trash pick-up at the site and they are very diligent about it. You never see trash bags waiting for pick-up. They have a great mailroom for receiving packages. They also VERY KINDLY received a perishable item for us, called us to let us know it arrived and put it in their refrigerator until we picked it up (and it was not a small box!). Sites are a decent size and most have a fruit tree - some even have little yards or patios with built in fireplaces. Lots of amenities - pools, jacuzzi, small fitness room, games, pond, large dog park, etc. Bath house is clean with big showers and awesome water pressure. The entire CG is impeccably clean. For walkers/runners - the widest possible circumference inside the CG is .8 miles. The CG offers inexpensive, outdoor RV storage with power hook up (not to be confused with their normal campground sites). This enabled us to fly out of Tucson for Thanksgiving knowing our RV was in a safe place. Overall this is a very pleasant place to be. We will be back. We camped at Tucson / Lazydays KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Tucson Tamale Co has great tamales! Eat in AND take some home. They have them frozen and they keep very well. We boarded our cat with Guadalupe Veterinary Clinic for $20/day. Very kind staff. The Loop is a 131 mile dedicated bike path circling Tucson. Ride your bike to the exit by Lazydays RV and turn right on Irvington. You can't miss it. Relatively flat.

We pulled in a bit early and the staff was OK with it. I told the girl who checked us in how long our RV was with a tow car and asked her if we should unhook the car to pull into the pull thru spot. Huge mistake not unhooking the car. We tried to pull in and got stuck in between the hedges on each side of our spot. Since we couldn't back up, we blocked the entire street to unhook. We really like the dog park for the pooches. We did hear the trains quite a bit. It's a perfect spot to watch the Air Force jets early in the mornings doing their training. Top-notch, reasonably-priced KOA! Very large park with great amenities, the best of which is a number of sites under cover - what difference in the desert heat! The only downside to the covered sites is that a roof-mounted satellite dish won't work, but cable with a limited number of channels is free and works fine. Good BBQ restaurant on site and small but interesting gift shop. Exceptionally well-tended grounds with lots of small trees and shrubs. Very nice patio sets on concrete patios. Easy access from I-10.
