Nothing frilly about this park but it was clean and well maintained. Laundry facilities were good, WiFi was good and cable was good. Use of pool and spa only at the hotel. Within walking distance to town with fun shops and eateries. Within walking distance to train to Grand Canyon. We camped at Grand Canyon Railway RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This is a really nice park in a cool little town. Large, level concrete sites with picnic table. Conveniently located full hookups (30/50). The water spigots had a funky little nodule attached which caused several that I saw (including ours) to leak a little, not seriously though. Clean rest rooms and nice laundry room, though a little pricey (1.75 wash/1.50 dry) but inline with the town laundromat. Conveniently located to just about everything, especially the namesake train. That's a double edged sword as the train whistles are quite close, but thankfully not too often at night. Park provided wifi was good most of the time. Slowed during the evening or when I was trying to upload photos to Facebook. Cell phone coverage was excellent. Check-in/check-out folks are very friendly!! They will give you a list of rules, several of which we saw being broken during our three night stay. If you are going to have rules, please enforce them!! That lack of enforcement keeps them from a perfect score. We camped at Grand Canyon Railway RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

After doing the usual things, check with the Park Service office in town for info on Bill William Mountain. There is a path that leads all the way tot he top. A GREAT hike for those who can make the 4½ mile, 2,000 ft elevation gain journey. If you can't, there's also a road that leads to the top. On the way to the mountain, stop at the Santa Fe Dam which you can walk across.

Very nice park near I-40 and the railroad. Nice store and clean grounds. Turns on roads are a little tight but manageable. Cable and free wifi. Phones work okay. Nice local people, but you book through Xantera who know little about the layout. They do have some long level pull through concrete 30/50 amp full hookup. Shorter sites have hookups at the rear. Would stay again. We camped at Grand Canyon Railway RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice park and a great location. A little pricey but the location make it worth it. Wide roads and large sites. Close to highway making it easy in and easy out. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only thing they need is a fenced dog run with grass. There is a path all the way around the park but has large gravel which out dog did not like. We would stay here again. Williams is a cute little town with some cute shops and neat little bars and restaurants. The Grand Canyon is 65 miles from the campground. We drove it for 4 days and it was not a problem. Our campsite butted up to the railroad tracks, but it was not a problem with noise for us. We would come back again to this campground. The staff was helpful and friendly. There is a nice laundry in the campground and a firepit for general use. We camped at Grand Canyon Railway RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

There was a pool at the resort across the street, but we didn't use it at this time of year. There was a nice grocery store in town.

In general a nice park. We stayed 3 days over Thanksgiving. I stated showers were clean and they were the first day but over weekend looked like they weren't cleaned. A lot of hair, ugh. Maybe due to holiday. Had signs to please keep shower curtain inside when showering. If they want that, should either lower the curtain pole or get longer shower curtains. It was pretty much impossible. So water got into dressing area and beyond. Large enough area though for shower &dressing. Nice laundry using coins. Will say our site sloped forward. Looked like quite a lot of other sites were sloped as well. Many had front wheels up on at least 4" high pieces of wood or blocks. When we tried to level our front tire would have been off th.e ground by at least that much. Did the best we c ould moving forward and back to adjust and h ad to settle for as level as we co u l d with all wheels on the ground. But we kind of sloped forward for 3 days. Had great Thanksgiving at the hotel restaurant & enjoyed our trip to the Grand Canyon. We camped at Grand Canyon Railway RV Park in a Motorhome.

Do yourself a big favor, use Google Maps to get a satellite view of the RV registration building. There are two entrances, one on the north off W. Franklin Ave and one on the south off N. 7th. Use the north entrance! It can get very busy and crowded and the south entrance may get you in a bit of a jam. Also, there was some major construction on eastbound I-40. The park was full this last week with two very large RV groups in residence, but it was pretty quiet overall. The laundry was extremely busy and a few machines were out of order. Wireless internet was almost non-existent at the end of the park where we were (site 303) There is no way you can miss the many notices given that pads are required under leveler/stabilizer jacks, but many rigs didn't have them (mostly the largest motor coaches for some reason) Water/power/sewer/cable were all in good repair and good locations. Temps were in the 70's during the day and pretty darn chilly at night! Good Safeway with Starbucks just down the street. 76 gas station near Safeway looks accessible but has low hanging branches at exit. We used the pet resort for our two dogs and the folks there were top notch. We camped at Grand Canyon Railway RV Park in a Motorhome.

In the center of town, walking distance to everything. Same company owns the railroad for the daily train to Grand Canyon which is a good day trip. Managment was very helpful and friendly. Wi-Fi service was being worked on when we got there but by the end of our stay it was excellent all times of the day. Good AT&T and Verizon cell service We camped at Grand Canyon Railway RV Park in a Motorhome.

Perfect place to visit the Grand Canyon, one hour train or auto ride. 1-1/2 hour to Winslow, Eagles "Standing on the corner...." statue. Both towns are on Route 66 so lots of era souvenirs

A little confusing since the RV Park check-in is across a Main Street from the park. We pulled into where all the rigs were parked and then had to walk a block or so back to check-in. Camp area is meticulous, wi-fi never dropped over three days. You are right next to the Grand Canyon Railroad lines plus another set of rails with a bit of traffic. Walking distance to the Train Depot but the Campground/Hotel has a shuttle as well. There's a phone in the laundry room at the campground to call the shuttle. We'd stay here again. Tips for other Campers:

We took the train into the Grand Canyon for the day or you can do an overnight stay too. The Campground Booking Office can handle the tickets. We were lucky enough to arrive on the last day of the season for the steam locomotive for the season. We watched it arrive back at the Station at 5:45 pm. New Brewery Restaurant is right across the street and it was pretty good.

Overall well designed and thought out details make this an excellent choice for Grand Canyon visitors. Check-in is quick, convenient, easy, and the staff are professional and helpful. Park is neat, clean and well maintained. All interior roads and sites are paved. Roads are wide enough so that parking your rig is for rigs of all sizes, including big rigs. Sites are long enough that unhooking your tow vehicle may not be necessary. Pull through sites are located in the middle of the property with back sites around the perimeter. Each site has a picnic table. Water, power and sewer hook-ups are conveniently located. Opting for sites on the north side of the park will get you further away from the mainline railroad tracks that run within 100-ft or so of the south side sites. There are only about 10-12 trains daily, but they can come through at any time - day or night. Sites are relatively close together, but this isn't necessarily a park for long term stays. Trees are small, so satellite reception is excellent. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Grand Canyon Railway RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Easy walking distance to Grand Canyon Railway depot, grocery store (Safeway), and a stroll down old Highway 66. Grand Canyon Brewery and Pub is located just across the street and worth the walk. A 'must-do' is the 130-mile (roundtrip) train ride to the south rim of the Grand Canyon. An all day trip, it's fun, enjoyable, and the Grand Canyon, of course, is more than spectacular.

Very clean, with nice laundry, although they could have used a few more washers and dryers. Sites were close together, good WIFI and cable TV. close to small town, grocery store, shops and brewery. We had been to the Grand Canyon for 2 days, but opted to take the train for the day. Kennel on site was very nice, dog friendly park which was a nice change for an RV park. No grass, but walking path around the park. We camped at Grand Canyon Railway RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We had back-in site. It was pretty level. They require the sewer hose to be supported on a ramp. Right next to a pavilion with tables and grills, bathhouse, and laundry room. They had a shuttle service to the main hotel, train, and the town of Williams. We didn't use any of it. We walked everywhere. It's not far. We did use the pet resort for our dog the day we went to the Grand Canyon. It was nice. No grass for the dog but she adjusted. We camped at Grand Canyon Railway RV Park in a Motorhome.
