Easy access, wide roads and right off freeway so convenient. Very clean and all hookups worked well. Watch the step off as concrete if quite a bit higher than gravel and you could twist and ankle of worse easily. You can walk to the Grand Canyon railway, a must see experience. We camped at Grand Canyon Railway RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Good location.....a few blocks off of Route 66 and 60 miles south of the Grand Canyon. The railroad track was right behind us, so you could hear the trains VERY well. The park is clean and convenient exit from I40. Asphalt pad is about 4 inches above the gravel picnic area, so be careful when stepping down off of it. We camped at Grand Canyon Railway RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is a great location to visit Route 66. We also drove to the Grand Canyon, spent the night there and headed back the next day (beautiful!)

Rate is 1/2 price with Passport America. Full price is expensive, but all the parks in Williams are. This is the only one that takes PA but they do not take it in the summer, during Grand Canyon National Park peak season. I got a pull thru ($5 extra) so I could stay hooked up to my truck, but all pull thrus are very unlevel front to back so had to unhook anyway. Nice clean laundry. Love the close proximity to town, just a couple blocks to Route 66 the main part of town. We walked, very nice. Park fills up, especially on weekend. No charge to make reservations. Easy access for big rigs. We camped at Grand Canyon Railway RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Excellent park within a short walk to the Railroad to the Grand Canyon. Also had full service kennel on site for pets which we used and was excellent. Very roomy spaces and interior roads were all asphalt. Helpful office staff. Great facilities and access to the hotel's facilities as well. Large area with fire rings, picnic tables cookers and it is covered. Town is very interesting - not large but many restaurants and pubs. Great vibe. I would definitely stay here again. We camped at Grand Canyon Railway RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This park is in a good location just off of I-40 in downtown Williams and easy walking distance to just about anything you need. You are right next to the train depot so you hear the train whistles that run throughout the day and night (some are VERY loud!). There are 124 FHU 50 amp rv spaces which are a mix of pull-through, back-in and buddy sites. We stayed in site 514, a back-in site. Sites are paved but very close together with a strip of gravel in between and a picnic table. Interior roads are also paved and easy to navigate, but the park is really a giant parking lot with almost zero landscaping. Park was at or near capacity every day we were there, so I highly recommend making reservations. 20 cable channels and 4 movie channels (Stars & Encore) included in the daily rate. There is a shuttle that you can take to go anywhere on their property including the train depot, hotel and restaurant. The restaurant charges $26 per person for the buffet, but they did allow us to look at it beforehand (and we chose to eat elsewhere). Bathrooms consisted of 5 toilets and 5 showers and were very clean and well appointed. Laundry area was somewhat on the small side for a park this size with 5 washers and 5 dryers. The heated swimming pool and hot tub are located within the hotel, and both were very clean and refreshing. Also located in the hotel is Spenser's Pub (small bar and light fare), fitness area (with newer, clean machines) and even a small gameroom for the kids complete with an air hockey table and arcade games. The park has a small store with necessities and even a dog kennel. Free Wifi was the fastest I have ever used! Staff were friendly and accommodating. It does get windy here and we had several days of 30-40 mph wind gusts during our stay. We used a combination of our PA and AARP discounts. Use Google Maps to find the check-in building, as it's poorly marked and can be confusing to find (it's across the street from the park). We liked this park and would return. We camped at Grand Canyon Railway RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Safeway grocery store and restaurants are all within walking distance. We opted not to take the train to the Grand Canyon, as you only have 4 hours from when the train arrives and departs back to Williams. We drove there instead and it took us an hour to get there.

Tips for other Campers:

Take the Grand Canyon Railway train trip into the Grand Canyon. A lot of fun and a neat way to see the Canyon. Also make sure you check out Route 66 and the shops and restaurants there. I recommend the Pine Country Restaurant for sure. The Grand Canyon Brewery Company is across the street from the park and has a great selection of their locally brewed beer.

Overall Rating:

This is a really nice park in a cool little town. Large, level concrete sites with picnic table. Conveniently located full hookups (30/50). The water spigots had a funky little nodule attached which caused several that I saw (including ours) to leak a little, not seriously though. Clean rest rooms and nice laundry room, though a little pricey (1.75 wash/1.50 dry) but inline with the town laundromat. Conveniently located to just about everything, especially the namesake train. That's a double edged sword as the train whistles are quite close, but thankfully not too often at night. Park provided wifi was good most of the time. Slowed during the evening or when I was trying to upload photos to Facebook. Cell phone coverage was excellent. Check-in/check-out folks are very friendly!! They will give you a list of rules, several of which we saw being broken during our three night stay. If you are going to have rules, please enforce them!! That lack of enforcement keeps them from a perfect score. We camped at Grand Canyon Railway RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

After doing the usual things, check with the Park Service office in town for info on Bill William Mountain. There is a path that leads all the way tot he top. A GREAT hike for those who can make the 4½ mile, 2,000 ft elevation gain journey. If you can't, there's also a road that leads to the top. On the way to the mountain, stop at the Santa Fe Dam which you can walk across.

Very nice park near I-40 and the railroad. Nice store and clean grounds. Turns on roads are a little tight but manageable. Cable and free wifi. Phones work okay. Nice local people, but you book through Xantera who know little about the layout. They do have some long level pull through concrete 30/50 amp full hookup. Shorter sites have hookups at the rear. Would stay again. We camped at Grand Canyon Railway RV Park in a Motorhome.

In general a nice park. We stayed 3 days over Thanksgiving. I stated showers were clean and they were the first day but over weekend looked like they weren't cleaned. A lot of hair, ugh. Maybe due to holiday. Had signs to please keep shower curtain inside when showering. If they want that, should either lower the curtain pole or get longer shower curtains. It was pretty much impossible. So water got into dressing area and beyond. Large enough area though for shower &dressing. Nice laundry using coins. Will say our site sloped forward. Looked like quite a lot of other sites were sloped as well. Many had front wheels up on at least 4" high pieces of wood or blocks. When we tried to level our front tire would have been off th.e ground by at least that much. Did the best we c ould moving forward and back to adjust and h ad to settle for as level as we co u l d with all wheels on the ground. But we kind of sloped forward for 3 days. Had great Thanksgiving at the hotel restaurant & enjoyed our trip to the Grand Canyon. We camped at Grand Canyon Railway RV Park in a Motorhome.

Williams is a cute little town with some cute shops and neat little bars and restaurants. The Grand Canyon is 65 miles from the campground. We drove it for 4 days and it was not a problem. Our campsite butted up to the railroad tracks, but it was not a problem with noise for us. We would come back again to this campground. The staff was helpful and friendly. There is a nice laundry in the campground and a firepit for general use. We camped at Grand Canyon Railway RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice park and a great location. A little pricey but the location make it worth it. Wide roads and large sites. Close to highway making it easy in and easy out. Staff very friendly and helpful.
