we stayed here for one night. I was told that this was a good sam rate but it seems to be the normal rate. My only problem with the site was the electrical being at the far rear as you entered. I had to extend our electrical cable to its fullest and even then our tow vehicle stuck out about 3 ft. Since this was a slow season, there wasn't much traffic so it was okay. other than this, this was a nice overnight stop. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice park with wide gravel spaces. Spaces are a bit off level in some areas and the electrical hook up is at the rear of the space. Water and sewer are about 1/3'rd in from the back and located well. Many trees that could block your satellite reception, but do provide shade and privacy. Discounts offered for many organizations and you do get a discount on fuel. My only complaint is the droning noise from the sewer system pump that is a low base and penetrates your coach in an annoying way. We were in space 24 which is close to the unit. If you want peace and quiet don't accept a space near that area. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Definitely go to the crater visitor center as it's very well done.

Long, level site with plenty of room to stay hooked up to the tow vehicle and room for our additional car. Roads within the park are very wide and easy to get around on. The grounds were very well cared for and clean, with the exception of the bathhouse - we used the one nearest the office while we were there, and one shower did not drain at all and there were quite a few bugs and spiders. (We went around 9 pm and that could perhaps have been the reason.) The park is not really close to anything, but there is a store/gas station on site with a pretty good selection of items. We camped here in a 42-ft fifth wheel. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very isolated and quiet park. About 15 miles to the closest town. Office for the park doubles as the office for a gas station. The people are nice and helpful and easy to get gas when you leave. Spaces are decent sizes. Since it's so isolated there is little or no traffic noise at night. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Motorhome.

Clean, level sites. Power good. Water pressure good. Easy on and off of freeway. Road noise was minimal. Convenient to meteor crater, best stop seeing the crater. Office staff even gave us discount tickets for crater. Wifi and cell service was pretty good. Would definitely stay at this park again. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Best place to stay for visiting the crater.

Nice wide pull thru sites, extremely well kept park. Nice fenced dog run that out two dogs just love. Plenty of trees to help with shade. The gate is narrow, but just pay attention and it is no problem. The store offers a discount for gas and coupons for the crater. The store staff was so funny and told us about everything that there was in the area. We will stay here when in the area again. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Motorhome.

Have stayed here before. Very good and wide pull throughs. Wifi worked great but no cable. We only had one station with the antenna, which was fine. Check in process went smooth. We camped here in a Motorhome. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Make sure you go to the Meteor Crater while here. South of the park 5 miles.

A little pricey for the park, but overall was okay. FYI, it is very dark at night as there are no park lights so be sure to have flash lights if you need to walk your dogs or go to the restrooms. Bring your dinner as there was no place near by to get food, every thing was either 20 miles ahead or 12 miles back tracking. The park is all rock which hurt our dogs feet so keep that in mind. Great for nightly stays, not long term. There are two dog parks that are fenced in. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The only close by site is the meteor crater exhibit which we did not do so can't comment on the facility or cost.

Park very clean and sites are a perfect size. The office staff/store staff was friendly and helpful. Clean showers. Beautiful sunsets. Store has nice selection of things. We stayed 3 nights and will make it a stop again.

Only slight downer was the dryers, pricey. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

It's close to a lot of fun stops in N Arizona of I-40 East

This park is in the middle of nowhere but only 5 miles from the Meteor Crater park. After check-in, the entrance/exit gate is a bit narrow for a motor coach but just take your time and it's very doable. The roads are gravel and wide enough to make the turns to get to your site. There is little to no grass for the dog. This is a well kept park with what looked like a few full timers but mostly people passing through or going to the Crater. There is a Subway at the Crater but other than that no restaurants nearby. We would stay here if passing through this way again. Oh, forgot to mention the train that comes by every couple of hours, especially during the night. With windows closed and AC on, the noise wasn't too bad. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Motorhome.

Easy in and out from freeway. Have sites with just w/e as well as full hookup. Freeway and train noise - but then again, it is on 1-40. They offer a $2.00 discount to the Meteor Crater exhibit. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Motorhome.

We wanted to visit the Meteor Crater and this was as close as it gets. Very friendly and organized staff. Nice wide pull thru's, wide sites. Very clean. Good wifi. Someone else said that getting satellite was hard due to trees. He must have the dish permanently mounted on the roof. We don't and satellite was no problem and we did see many with roof mounts that had a clear shot. Someone also said the gate was too narrow. Could see no problem. I-40 noise was no problem, nor were trains. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

You get a $2.00 discount/person (two people) if you are going to the Meteor Crater.

This was a welcome discovery. We needed a transit park with easy freeway access and spacious pull-throughs, we got it here. There are many large trees which block the wind and help muffle some of the noise. There is some freeway and train noise, but they did not disturb our sleep. Fairly level gravel sites. Very nice clean private shower rooms. This will become a regular stop for us when traveling through Arizona. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Gas is competitively priced and they offer a five cent per gallon discount to guests.

WOW, this place is an oasis! Out in the middle of nowhere, it appears out of the desert. Beautiful grounds, nicely done with gravel and decomposed granite. Two fenced dog runs; and they actually have several grassy lawn areas. (A must for our dogs to walk on, they love their grass.) The place is gated 24/7, but as a guest you receive a code to enter to open the gate. Easy in and out if you want to go into Winslow for dinner. We LOVED this place, would stay hear again, highly recommend. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Be sure to visit "La Posada" in Winslow, the last Harvey House built in 1930. Beautifully restored to it's original glory, a destination in itself. We didn't have time to dine there, but the Turquoise Room looked so inviting and romantic, with a panoramic view of the trains outside hearkening back to another era.
