The campground is located very close to I-40. The campground office/gas station closes at 7pm and they lock the gates. There is another exit/entrance to use if needed. If you fill up with gas, you get a discounted price if you stay at the campground. Dog park, lots of pull through sites. The campground is clean, has security, and very welcoming. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Motorhome.

One of the easiest parks to navigate. We could hear some road noise and trains but not really a bother. We were towards the north end of the park and there is some sort of pump stations there that made a low humming noise that was a little distracting Easy in and out from I-40 and the interior roads are very wide. The sites are a nice size with a picnic table and some shade. Sites are pretty level and only had to raise the wheels one leveler. We had a 30 amp electric + water only site. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Meteor Crater Natural Landmark is just down the road and interesting to see. Not sure it's worth the $16 admission fee. You can see everything in about 45 minutes and get some nice pictures. The RV park does give you discount coupons.

Overall Rating:

There were a couple things we wanted to see in the Winslow area including Meteor Crater so this park seemed a natural. It is run by the same people who run the Crater visitor's center and they offer a small discount to the crater attraction for campers. The park is fenced and gates and seemed secure. There were some trees and the sites were easy to access and level. Bathrooms and showers were clean. We planned this site for full hook ups planning to dump waste as the last stop before heading home. The gas station convenience store is also the camp store and check in site. It has ice and drinks and the usual stuff found in such a store. All the stuff to get you by a night if something ran out or was forgotten. The clouds cleared as the sun set and we enjoyed the dark skies and the stars that are often lost in the haze of city lights. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

This is a great park to stay at while visiting the Meteor Crater. It's worth the stop, especially if you qualify for a discount such as active or retired military. It's just a big hole in the ground but the visitors' center is informative and gift shop is quite extensive. Painted Desert and Petrified Forest National Park is also nearly. Also worth a visit.

A great park for a 1 or 2 night stay. Right off I 40 and you can hear the highway but that's the price you pay for convenience. The sites are all pull through - FHU or just water + electric (50 or 30 amp service). The park roads & sites are gravel. Our site was quite level requiring no additional leveling blocks. The staff is very friendly & helpful & offer discount coupons for the meteor crater if you're planning on taking that in. We would definitely stay here again when in the area. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Interesting park. You enter via a automatic gate that at first seems very tight. It isn't so don't worry. Nicely laid out interior with trees lining the outside of the park to block wind and noise. They kind of work. Quiet when we were there. Stopped to visit the nearby meteor crater which is really cool. Also drove into Winslow to stand on a corner. Cool part of route 66. Can't speak about wifi and tv as we didn't need while here. We did use the AT&T tower for all our internet needs. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Motorhome.

Must do the meteor crater. Beware though it's pricey for just a quick look. The inside exhibits were worthwhile. Winslow is a fun quick trip as well and there are a few interesting restaurants near THE corner.

Clean park, nice people. Entrance is a little tight for a large motor home towing but doable. Sites are gravel and level. Enough space between that they don't feel crowded. Right off I-40 and only a few miles from Meteor Crater. We stayed one night but will stay again on the return trip. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Motorhome.

A nice spot to stay. All the sites are pull through and the roads are wide. Very easy to get around. The sites are nice size both length and width. The sites are all well defined and landscaped. The staff is very helpful and friendly. There is fuel and a store attached. The park is associated to the Meteor Crater tourist attraction. It is easy on and off of I-40. We had a pull-thru and it was plenty big enough for our 40' 5th wheel and truck. The office staff was very helpful. We got a lot of over the air channels. AT&T service was good. This was a great park for an overnight stay. It was easy in/easy out. I would stay here again. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Great park with friendly staff conveniently located by Meteor Crater and near Winslow and Flagstaff. We had problems with our electric pedestal not putting out 50 amps, and they got right on it and fixed it. Great dog run area with two separate fenced areas. Washing machines and dryers were reasonably priced (1.75) and were very clean. The game room had a book exchange, movies, free coffee, and a free foosball table. Discount on meteor crater tickets. The sites were level, lengthy, and clean. The gates provided security. Beautiful view of the mountains. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Meteor Crater is worth a visit. In Winslow, go to the "Standing on the Corner" corner with the flatbed Ford. Additionally, do not miss a meal at the Turquoise Room in La Posada Hotel. The history of Fred Harvey and the Harvey Girls makes this stunning adobe hotel come to life with the stories of yesterday and the conveniences of today (watch Judy Garland in "The Harvey Girls" first). In Flagstaff, there are many things to see, such as Walnut Canyon, Sunset Crater, or the historic downtown.

This was a convenient site for staying close to Meteor Crater. It was a nice place, though we only stayed one night. I'd come back if I were going there again. It's pretty convenient to get to Winslow as well, only 20 minutes away. The staff was nice too. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

WOW! This is a really fine place to stay for overnight or longer if you are touring the area! The staff that greeted us at nearly 7 pm was exceptionally nice and helpful! The roads were very easy to navigate, the dump station was very nice, the wifi worked! There were "enough" tv stations. We had very adequate space around us. You cannot beat THIS price for a nice rv park anywhere! AND on top of that, we had $4 off to MC and a free cup of coffee! We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Motorhome.

An over nite stop in a pull thru with water and 30 amp that was long enough to stay hooked up, but needed couple of blocks to level side to side. Needed to carefully position the fiver as a nice tree could block dish reception. Everything worked well. The park is far enough from I40 to be quiet at night and the stars are wonderful here. Fuel is available at the station in front of the park and then easy access to I40. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
