No one in the office to check you in on weekends. Make a reservation in advance to get the gate code to check in on the weekend. Park is 4 yrs old with gravel pull-thru's with 50 amp FHU. Some sites have concrete pads for your chairs, and some just gravel. The sites are some of the biggest I've stayed in. The wi-fi works works great from the site I am on. The park is very clean and far off the highway from any hwy noise, but still close to supplies you might need. The park has everything you need from pools, weight room, bowling alleys to jacuzzi's. I would rate it a 4/5 just because of the gravel sites. We camped at Carefree Village Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed here for 1 month. Chose it because we were looking for an ACTIVE group of seniors. Loved the pickleball, pool volleyball, and social activities. Facilities are new, clean, and first rate. Sites are large but it is a gravel parking lot with nice concrete pads for chairs, tables, etc. We will be back next February! We camped at Carefree Village Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 1 month at the standard rate of $550 plus the cost of electric. The sites are all huge having been designed for double-wide manufactured homes. They will fit any length of RV. If you are coming just for a few days they will most likely assign you a pull-thru site opposite the activities amenities. Note that the pull-thru sites do not have a patio area, the whole site is large gravel. There are 8 beautiful new pickleball courts which can be lit at night. The other amenities such as Bocce, Shuffleboard, and mini golf can also all be lit for night usage. They have a full kitchen that serves lunch every Wednesday and breakfast every Saturday. The meals are only $5 per person and are very good. The park is located a mile from the Frontage Road and is extremely quiet at all times. It is very easy to access Highway 8 and 95 and head either direction on the Frontage Road as there is a traffic light. Shopping is very convenient with a Wal-Mart 1.5 miles away and a newer Fry's within 5 miles. This Park offers fabulous value. We camped at Carefree Village Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Shop at Fry's using your Fry's Loyalty card to save up to $1 on your fuel fill-up. Get your propane at Cactus Storage on the North Frontage Road just west of Fortuna Road as it is well priced and easy access even with a long motorhome. They are open 7 days a week.

Overall Rating:

This is a fairly new park, only a couple of years old. The sites are very spacious so you will have plenty of room for all your chairs, tables, etc. and your vehicle. The staff is absolutely wonderful. The only reason I did not rate a 10 is because there is not WiFi throughout the park. If you have a spot near the office, then you will be able to get it. We were in a pull thru near the office and these do not have concrete pads but the back in sites do have the pads. There are no picnic table at any of the sites, and there are no trees/shrubs except by the buildings. The park offers a whole lot of amenities though. They have three fenced in dog areas and they were always clean. There is a Walmart right up the street and the freeway access is right by the RV park. Roads in the park are all paved. While we were here one of our AC's quit working. We called Vic's RV Repair. Vic came out and fixed this and was very reasonable. If you ever need any repairs, call him at 928-580-8774 and you will get someone who is honest and fair, unlike some. We have already made reservations to come back next year. We camped at Carefree Village Resort in a Motorhome.

Very nice park, friendly energetic staff, very wide flat gravel spaces. This park is becoming a mobile home park. Lots of things to keep you busy.

Nice park with some great facilities: bowling alley, work out room, small pool, etc.

We did not like the attitude of the manager and the price. It was well over 100 degrees and you are charging $50? That's the reason it was empty.

Rock pull thru site, no trees. No WiFi. If they don't change the way they do things, they won't be in business much longer. There are better options in Yuma. We suggest you stay somewhere else. We camped at Carefree Village Resort in a Motorhome.

We were here 2 months. Paid $550 + elec./mo. This is a new, gated resort, so everything is lovely & modern. We really liked the showers and can't understand why another reviewer thought they weren't good. The staff is professional & friendly and, when we had a problem, they provided us immediate service. The resort has a free internet room with computers. Park Communications provided us wireless internet for $39/month and was very easy to get connected. All of the facilities were lightly used so we had no problem using the many activities - bocce, pickleball, mini golf, shuffleboard, pool. Didn't try the bowling. Resort offers dinners, entertainment, and daily activities. This resort is well away from the highway and railroad track, so only a distant sound was heard. We liked the location as it was very near Walmart and a short drive to Fry's grocery. Only negatives with this resort are the shallow pool and the lack of greenery. We would definitely return. We camped at Carefree Village Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Staff is very friendly & helpful. Mid November I got earlybird price of 550.00 a month.
It's out of town , 1.5 miles away from a Walmart. No noise from hwy nor airport except a few military jets. The roads are paved and the setup is nice. However, there are almost no trees and no greenery, a few park models are there.
The gravel sites are huge. It gives the whole park an "open" feeling. Especially as there are no "longtimers" with their usual porch and mess. It's the usual setup with space for the RV, concrete pad and space for the towing/towed vehicle. The Hookups are standard with water, power, sewer and cable TV, no hardwired internet ( too bad for a brand new setup). The WiFi worked for us as we could pickup the signal from the computer room. For the rest of the park, bring your own solution.
The Restrooms are all in tiles up to the ceiling, very nice, beautiful and clean. My negative point: The shower is separated from the "dressing room" by a curtain and the "dressing room" is separated by a curtain from the whole rest. Unfortunately, the curtains don't reach the floor and there is no step between shower and "dressing room", therefore, the whole floor is always wet. There are only two very small hooks, while the size of the shower is ok, the "dressing room" is too small. Getting into your pants is a challenge to keep them off the wet floor and not stuffing the curtain into it at the same time.
Amenities like small pool and only 4' deep, hottub, tennis, pickleball, bowling alley, mini golf, etc. We camped at Carefree Village Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Brand new park in Yuma..opened December 2014. Daily price listed ($21) reflects their grand opening monthly price of $550, plus electric. Located well off the freeway and within walking distance of a super Walmart. Sites are very large with cement pads but the park feels like a gravel pit...no plantings or shade trees on the sites to help with the wind and heat. Small craft and card room and very small fitness room that right now is short on equipment. Laundry room wasn't planned very well, congested and hard to get around, machines are card operated. No park wifi. They have a computer room and the 3 computers they have provided which work well but using your own IPad or device is a crap shoot, not dependable at all, frustrating. Beautiful pool area, small pool and tiny hot-tub. Hopefully when they get busier and expand they'll put in a lap pool and larger hot tub. There are lots of sports venues ie. Pickelball, tennis, mini golf, pool room, shuffleboard, horseshoes but there are no organized exercise classes/activities as yet. They have a state of the art 10 pin bowling alley, which is reasonably priced. Lots of camp workers here, mostly friendly, but there is one rude, arrogant man working in the kitchen who has managed to offend most of the paying campers. On the other hand the office staffers are polite, professional and always helpful. Being the first season there are bound to be growing pains; they have a suggestion box and encourage comments. We would consider coming back next winter IF there are plantings and wifi improvements made over the summer and the price remains reasonable for what is here. We camped at Carefree Village Resort in a Motorhome.
