We are new to being a snowbird although we are frequent "campers" in Oregon. The staff has been very helpful and professional and greet you with a smile. Since this is our first snowbird experience we were frequently in the office. We were always greeted with a smile. Our site had palm and citrus trees. Grounds, laundry facility and restrooms were impeccable and I am fussy. Location is convenient to all shopping. We would not hesitate to recommend this resort and plan to return next year. We looked at many other resorts and this was by far the best we found. Freeway is close. Park is very quiet with no freeway noise. The resort is pet friendly. There is pet and non-pet sections. Pet exercise area is very large and area is well maintained. We camped at Shangri-La RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.Undo

This is your typical Arizona campground; lots of gravel, cactus and few trees. The park office is only "open" in the morning during the summer so it is best to call ahead in the morning for a space. We lucked out calling in the afternoon because they were installing a new computer system and the manager was there that day. This park is a bit outside Yuma, but still close enough to do everything you want to do in town. This is our second visit and we would stay here again. Our rate is based on their summer 4 day rate. We used this park for a brief stopover while in Yuma. Friendly front desk, and worker to guide us to our spot. We parked in the front on one of the long pull-through sites. Even though the freeway was near, the noise soon became a "white noise" and really didn't bother us. We would stay here again. We camped at Shangri-La RV Resort in a Motorhome.Undo
Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $38.00
Stayed for 2 nights. Park is clean, quiet, and close to the highway for ease of traveling if one is on the road in transit. Staff friendly and courteous. Sites were a bit close for comfort. My rating is based upon an overall pleasant, non-complicated experience. We camped at Shangri-La RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

The people in the front office are nice; however, the Wi-Fi never worked and when we asked them to fix the problem no one was interested. It never worked the 4 days we stayed there. Pull-though sites are so close together that, with slides out, you have about six inches between each unit. One of the campground directories gave this park a "10" rating and consider it one of the best parks for 2011. I would really like to know what they were using to measure excellence? Another problem is the road noise and trains that pass in the night. We suggest that you try another park. We won't be back. We camped at Shangri-La RV Resort in a Motorhome.Undo

Stayed here for 2 nights while passing through Yuma. Site was very long, but narrow. Amazes me that RV sites are more than local hotel rates that do your linen and serve you a hot breakfast. Friendly staff, pet friendly and very clean. Biggest complaint was the very narrow site. We camped at Shangri-La RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

great place for coming in from boondocking in blm land. Easy in, great people everything works as it is supposed to. Got 40ft rig washed for 35.00. Will be back. We camped at Shangri-La RV Resort in a Motorhome.Undo
Date of Stay: January, 2012 - $31.00
Stayed overnight in one of the pull-throughs while passing through the area. Sites are very long but narrow, so in a big rig it takes some careful maneuvering to make a 90-degree turn into the site and get lined up straight. This is primarily a snowbird park so we didn't use any of the amenities, but it was fine for our needs. Friendly people in the office, very quiet at night. Friendly staff at check in. Sites are narrow. Quiet, but close to the freeway. Easy to find. A good spot for an overnight stay. We camped at Shangri-La RV Resort in a Motorhome.Undo

Terrible campground for the overnighter. Pull-throughs are a joke. Very close with no room to walk between. Would never stay again! We camped at Shangri-La RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

We have stayed at this park several times. Pleasant staff, well run. Pull-through sites for short-timers are in the front near the frontage road and I-8 but still pretty quiet. We camped at Shangri-La RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.Undo

We stayed 2 months in this park and found it to be a very good experience. The people are friendly, and there are lots of activities. Everything is kept very clean. Half of the park allows pets, and there is a great place to take your dog for a run off leash. We would stay here again. Rate based on monthly. We camped at Shangri-La RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

Very rude lady working the desk. Your basic "gravel pit" RV park. Would never stay here again. We camped at Shangri-La RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.Undo

Definitely a friendly park. We spent the winter here and enjoyed the sunny weather, activities and nice facilities. Stopped again in late May while traveling from California to Colorado and was treated like friends. We camped at Shangri-La RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

Park is OK, just bare necessities, very small office, no supplies, very small pool. Mainly Park Models. If I had it to do again I would stay across freeway at Blue Sky, they have trees, this park has three or four. Does have good wifi, TV & cell signals.
