After reading the write up in the Good Sam RV Park directory, we decided to stay here for a month. They had a special on for $400.00 per month, which was a big help in deciding to stay here. The streets are narrow and we had a bit of a difficult time backing our 43' Super C into our spot, but did get it eventually. The site was level and quite roomy, with a concrete pad and gravel around. We had a small orange tree at our site. It was fairly noisy at night due to trains, planes and cars. They have indoor and outdoor pools and jacuzzi's, a big library and a large variety of activities. We enjoyed everything at this camp, but were very disappointed that there was no Wifi, as stated in the Good Sam guide. The guide didn't specify "Wifi Hotspot" or "Wifi only in the office", it said Wifi. There is no wifi at the sites, and the wifi that was supposed to be at the office was impossible to get onto. When we (along with many others) complained at the office we were told by the office staff that they hadn't had any complaints before. I think we got on the internet at the office twice in the month we were there. We also were not able to get the cable channels they said they had. There are mostly park models at this park. We were appreciative of the very friendly security guards who were there around the clock, and felt safe and secure with them there. We would stay here again if/when they have internet at the sites. Sun Vista is a large park, with 1200 sites. Most sites have park model snowbird residents; however, there is plenty of room for RVs as well. The park is gated with staff present, very well maintained, clean, and full of amenities. It's a safe park, in a very nice area that is convenient to local shopping and sites of interest. Streets are a bit narrow and sites are small - not a lot of privacy. There is a lot to do: many clubs, activities, entertainment, fitness center, two large swimming pools with hot tubs, a small park, recreation areas, pool rooms, large laundry, mail room, massage, hair salon. The flat, paved streets are ideal for bike riding. We camped at Sun Vista RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.
WalMart is less than a mile away - within walking distance. Lots of nearby shopping. For groceries, go to Fry's in the Foothills. Take a hike up Telegraph pass. Go to the local casinos - the Q is nice and right at the Mexican border.

This is an older campground with a a lot of older park models and some newer units. January 1st a lot of 5th wheel and motorhomes arrived. Great facilities and everyone was very friendly. 52 TV channels included and internet was easily connected by Century Link at $14.95/month. Moved here from an unfriendly park nearby. Lots of activities and a fitness center or if you prefer just sit by the pool and enjoy the sun. Stayed here for 2 months. We camped at Sun Vista RV Resort (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

This is a highly rated park, but probably because of the extensive club house. But it is an old park with narrow streets and orange trees that make it almost impossible to back in a 40 foot motorhome. The park models are mostly very old and not well maintained. Visually, it is depressing. Maybe good for overnight, but nothing else. We camped at Sun Vista RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.Undo

Maybe we're just not "into" the RV parks in Yuma. This park is just a huge 1200 space parking lot with mostly old park models with an available RV space dotted in between them. The spaces are all back-in with a concrete patio and only 48 feet long. Thankfully, they're wide enough to park your tow car on the side. There are absolutely no views of anything, so if you're looking for beautiful scenery- this is not it! The clubhouse is also huge (two stories) with many activities going on that I am sure is very nice for the seasonal people that are here for the winter. I am sure people come to Yuma for the wonderful winter climate (it was 75 and sunny today) and all the franchise restaurants and shopping are there; that's about it. The roads are narrow and the park models are almost to the street which make it tight to get into a spot. The park is in some state of disrepair. The pool was dirty and the cable didn't work the whole time we were here for us or our neighbours. There is a cost for the wi-fi and it was very slow and unreliable. We gave a $25.00 deposit for the gate remote and were refunded $20.00. Should take them no time at all to pay for that remote. Bad attitude about it at the desk too. Of course the manager was not available. (they rarely are when there is a dispute) This is an $18.00 a night campground not a $39.00 a night resort. They had plenty of spots because most of the snowbirds are leaving by now. I do not recommend this park to anyone. We camped at Sun Vista RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.Undo
This is a very large first class park for 55+ people. Total spaces are 1230 but only 450
open for RV use. You have pool indoors and one outdoors. The park is like a small city. The RV parking is a little hard due to small roads. Small amount of road noise in front of park. Some noise from train. Water is very hard. We camped at Sun Vista RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.
