Sport courts, picnic shelters and pool equipment not well maintained. Sport courts look as if they have been underwater for quite awhile and never cleaned. Did not use the picnic shelters but they look rough. There were 7 poolside loungers, 6 were broken. The back supports were broken in half on several, it was not apparent and potentially dangerous to an unsuspecting sunbather. The manager said he would address it immediately and that new equipment was on order. This was Memorial Day weekend so the order planning was too late in the season. The broken loungers were still on the pool deck as we departed a week later. We camped at Millwood Landing Golf & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Fishing was good at the on-site ponds. Lake Millwood State Park is nearby. There is a very nice marina and store for bait, tackle and fishing boats available for rent ($45.00 for 5-Hrs). Super Walmart in Ashdown.

Part of the Ocean Canyon network which includes Coast to Coast. As members of both, stay was "free" if you don't count the annual fees involved w/ both. They'd gotten something like 4 - 5 inches of rain during the preceding days so some sites were not in the best of shape, i.e. some were under water, some muddy, etc., but overall not too bad. Nice shower and restroom facilities. Friendly, helpful staff person. We don't golf so can't really comment on that aspect of the resort, but everything looked really nice. We would stay again. We camped at Millwood Landing Golf & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The sites were mixed concrete & grave with nice spacing in between. The wifi was good but we did not have cell phone service (AT&T). The park was very clean & well maintained. Would stay here again. We camped at Millwood Landing Golf & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Wonderful membership RV resort allows C2C and ROD. Gravel roads with level, back in and pull thru sites with concrete RV parking pads and full hook ups. Nice rental cabins. Lots of large trees and grass between sites and two large fishing ponds. Full size beautiful golf course and outdoor pool. Nice restaurant. Elec and water pressure good. Good TV antenna signal. Very weak Verizon cell and 3G signal. Many sites good for satellite and others next to towering trees. Fast Wi-Fi free for members, $ for guests. 7 miles to small town and w-mart. Office staff friendly and helpful. Park clean and well maintained. Will stay there again. We camped at Millwood Landing Golf & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

The park has many RV sites to accommodate large or small rigs . All sites have full hook up, water, sewer and electric. very nice 18 hole golf course, small laundry facility, large swimming pool, free WiFi and two fishing lakes. Also, along the edge of the lakes are rental cabins and full hook up camping sites. On site security is provided. There is a small town within 9 miles which has several Restaurants and fast food joints and of course a Walmart. Some areas of the park are a work in progress but still very nice. We have stayed here many times in our 40 class "A" motor-home. Well stay again. We camped at Millwood Landing Golf & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This RV park has wide roads of concrete/gravel and some of the RV pads are concrete. Plenty of room to park your truck beside the RV. Lots of space between pads with trees and some grass. Other RV pads are grass with no trees. We camped at Millwood Landing Golf & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This is a favorite short stay park for us but this time we were disappointed that everything was closed except the pool. The few staff we saw told us that there was a staff shortage so there was no restaurant or golf course available. The sites were clean and neat. We didn't attempt to fish in the 2 ponds as we were told there was an abundance of alligators now inhabiting them. For a quiet short stay it is OK. The price reflects our TT rate. Tips for other Campers:

Ashdown has a few places to eat and a chain store to shop but is pretty small so a strip to Texarkana is going to be needed.

Price is ROD membership & includes $5 fee for WiFi up to a week. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We had cement pad pull through with no trees to interfere with rooftop dish. Verizon hotspot worked most of the time so we purchased campground WiFi which was more reliable. All utilities worked well. Quiet and peaceful there. Rate reflects RPI rate. We will definitely stay here again. Not so much for the park, which is lovely or for the amenities. it is because they have some of the most wonderful, friendly and helpful volunteers of any park, anywhere. We had a problem with our truck just as we arrived and we had several volunteers immediately come to our assistance. Helping to diagnose, recommending a wonderful garage for repair and towing the rig to a site, after the truck was towed away. And they checked on me frequently until my partner arrived back at the rig with the truck repaired that day! Great place, great people! We camped at Millwood Landing Golf & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

I love this place. The people are great. They have a problem with fire ants and that is understandable. They try to get rid of them, but my two year old was bitten by hundreds of them just by going down their slide. The workers helped take care of her and took up the slide till they knew the ants were gone. For the two weeks we stayed the workers checked on her everyday. Other than that this place is very peaceful and a great place to relax. We camped at Millwood Landing Golf & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

RPI rate. CG is growing and the golf course is coming back. A new section of pull thru sites is much like the others with concrete pads and patios equipped with new picnic tables. The roads are packed gravel and red dirt, the approaches to the drive thru sites are crushed rock. There are many activities in the park and golf is available Tue-Sun. The restaurant and pro-shop are open Thur-Sun but breakfast biscuits and coffee are put out in the activities room seven days a week at 8:30A to 11. Fishing is mostly catch and release large mouth bass and catfish. Staff is super and the Ocean Canyon Properties org is making things work, now operating 8 resorts across the country. Interior roads get a little rough during heavy rains but things drain well for the most part. We would stop here if we pass this way again. We camped at Millwood Landing Golf & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Beautiful, quiet campground in a gorgeous part of the state. Very shady sites. Never crowded, but not deserted either. The site also has an 18-hole golf course in good condition. If you're looking to meet lots of people and have a party, this isn't the park for you. However, if you want to relax in nature and hit a couple rounds, you'll love Millwood.. Rate (actually free) reflects the fact that we came here on a sales offer. The park is a peaceful, quiet place with two ponds and a golf course. Did I mention peaceful? Sites are paved with a small patio attached along with a wooden picnic table. No cell phone reception here but our satellite worked fine for our tv and the wifi was good. No laundry facilities alto we were told they are building them now. The park restrooms were rather dilapidated as well. Also, the restaurant/bar is not open and appears to have been on the downhill slide for a long time. But the park is very peaceful and we would return, but we did not succumb to the sales pitch! What a pleasant surprise. It was a clean park in a peaceful setting. The golf course is right there and affiliated with the park, plus there is a restaurant on site. We will definitely be back. We camped at Millwood Landing Golf & RV Resort in a Motorhome.
