We reserved one of two park host sites, so we had full hookups with sewer. Sites are close together. Lots of tall trees with shade everywhere. We enjoyed our stay over the Memorial Day weekend. Each site has its own trash can which is nice. Unfortunately most campers seem to toss drink bottles, cigarette butts, and other small trash right on the ground. Two nice parks for kids. We would visit again. We camped at Millwood State Park in a Tent Trailer.Undo

We really enjoyed this campground. Nicely wooded, decent amount of space between sites. 24 hour Walmart (as much as we plan, we still forget things sometimes) 7 miles away. Nice playground for the kids. The entrance is tough to spot if you are coming in late, keep an eagle eye out for the sign. About a 3 hour trip from the DFW metroplex. Great clean park. Several water front and water view sites. Clean restrooms and showers. Bank fishing OK but a boat would be better; we caught fish using minnows. The store has boat rentals and canoe rentals along with water bike rentals. The store was open all day from 6 to 6. Bank fishing from the spillway was fun to watch as folks snagged catfish up to 10 pounds using big triple hooks and 2 oz weights. We will be back. When I made the reservation, it was for a site with full hookups. We arrived Thanksgiving afternoon and there were no park hosts or park staff. We drove around looking for a site with a sewer connection and did not find one so we just picked a site. When I went to the office the next morning to pay, I was told there were two sites with sewer, that they were for the camp hosts and were rented when there was no camp hosts on duty. I paid for the night and we moved to Lake Catherine SP, which is one of our favorite parks. The roads through the loops were very narrow and winding with trees almost on top of the roads, and I think a large rig would have been in trouble trying to get through. All in all, it's a nice park and maintained in the same high standards of all of the Arkansas parks, this one just isn't for me. We camped at Millwood State Park in a Travel Trailer.Undo

Nice shady campground with well maintained restrooms and showers. All types of sites available near a super fishing lake. Watch out for alligators; that's what the brochure says. We camped at Millwood State Park in a Fifth Wheel.Undo
