Very beautiful campgrounds with most sites having access to Sylamore Creek, within 20 ft. Very cheep rates but no hook-ups, just a dump station. There are 3 trails and loops nearby that are just wonderful and the fishing here is nice (buy trout stamps). I don't think there is an unshaded spot in the park. There are not many sites that can comfortably fit 40 footers but there are 5 other campgrounds in the park that offer very similar camping so you can keep looking if you don't like what you see. I really would suggest checking out all the campsites during your stay so you can locate that perfect one for next time. No reservations here and it does get near full in the summer but I've never not found a spot. - phillipstewart

We originally planned to stay for two nights but we liked it so much we stayed for three. Our campsite was up on a ridge overlooking the river as it comes out from the dam. It is a lovely shallow river with white water and sand and pebble island. The birds were migrating north and they were everywhere especially herons and blue birds. This river seems to be a prime trout fly fishing spot because just about everyone else was there to fish. It was also very family oriented with lots of kids and a nice playground. Half the campground was closed to camping while we were there and several sites did not have the water on but there is a spot to fill your rig near the washroom. About half the campsites are reserve and half are first come first serve. Our campsite was spacious and lovely. There is a boat launch and picnic area. The campground hosts were friendly and helpful and the bathrooms were clean. There is a large day visitor/picnic section and so daytime were very busy with children at the playground. We were not able to get any TV on our antennae nor did we get a cell phone signal and our satellite radio had trouble acquiring a signal. Up above the dam on a very steep winding road it a nice boat launch are for the accessing the lake and another big playground. - Judy Birchland
Nov 2017 - $20.00
Good views of the river. Pleasant and helpful staff. Level, paved sites. Some sites have covered picnic tables and benches by river bank. - Circe
Mar 2016 - $10.00
A very nice campground below the dam of the Norfork Lake. Below the dam is the North Fork White River, which is where the campground is. This is a COE campground so seniors get it half price with America The Beautiful Card. The sites overlooking the river have a great view and able watch fly fisherman fishing when the river was down. They raise and lower the river by several feet several times a day. The whole campground is very nicely laid out and well maintained. The sites are paved and level. AT&T cell worked, but weak, Verizon Mifi worked good. No OTA TV. We were here Easter weekend and there were several campsites still available. This campground is open all year. All sites have water & electric, no sewer, some 50 amp and some 30 amp. We would definitely stay here again. - jhav

We give this an 8 instead of a 7- because of the location in the hollow by the creek. WiFi was erratic. Cell service die not exist. But did I mention the creek? Gorgeous! Temp was 100F but the water was just fine. Interior roads were gravel and sand and rutty. None of the sites had concrete pads or patios. Rutted sandy site required use of jack pads. LOTS of shade everywhere. Limited number of 50 amp sites. Single washer and dryer for the camp use. Nice pool and bath/shower buildings. Number of Day Users made it more busy. There really is a swinging bridge over the creek. Very nice clubhouse with kitchen. WiFi in the clubhouse was very good. Sites may be a little rustic, but did I mention the creek? We plan to return. - Vdsavell
Oct 2014 - $30.00
We did not camp here. We did visit to see what was available. I did not see this review before we went. The last two reviews were spot on. They do offer 50 amp at some sites now and cable TV. The whole park was run down. Gravel sites most look unlevel. Grass is quite tall and trees need trimmed. The bridge going to the RV sites looks very un-safe. The supports under the bridge are all cracked. I can't believe it hasn't been shut down. They are affiliated with Coast to Coast. Signs all over saying new management but there is so much deferred maintenance we would never stay there. - M.Register
Jul 2010 - $10.00
Very run down park. We were here 7 nights and the grass was not mowed at all. Unsafe bridge, dogs running loose, trees untrimmed and unfriendly staff. - lm1939
Sep 2018 - $30.00
Such a nice RV Park! Super friendly people that own the park. Grounds are well kept. Nice huge trees in the park. Owner of park was so helpful. Will definitely be staying here again. - D Vance
Aug 2016 - $25.00
Very nice and owner is very helpful. - Nancy myers
May 2016 - $20.00
Owner was very helpful on our needs . The park is clean and lots of trees . They have a beautiful fire pit area with swings . It's a great place to join other campers and just sit and talk or roast marshmallows and hot dogs . She has a great room for dancing or just sitting and listening to music . We are going back in Oct.and hope to go back next spring ! - Robbie McGraw
Oct 2018 - $28.00
It was a,great stay walking distance to Ozark mountain state park and lick skillet restaurant. - cindy coffey
Jul 2017 - $32.00
Sites very close together. No room for sitting outside or outdoor cooking. Staff very friendly. Laundry very clean and machines in good condition. Restaurant within walking distance. - campinokie
Jun 2017 - $35.00
This is not a fancy resort but it has much to offer. No noise from trains. It is clean, neat, well maintained, immediately next to the Ozark Mountain Folk Center. Full service sites with morning paper delivery to your RV's front step? Most of the shaded sites are back-in sites but they have a few pull-thru sites with some shade. My site had a downward slope that was more of a nuisance than a problem. They have church services on Sunday, Dulcimer Jam Session Monday Nights; Potluck Tuesdays. T-Mobile does not work here. The high speed WiFi does not work. At best expect very, very slow service. - Norm Nice Guy
Jul 2017 - $28.00
I couldn't have asked for better accommodations. The site was perfect for parking my Winnebago. All hook ups good. The gravel driveways are well maintained. Pickin' Shed made it a friendly place to share mountain music as well as food. Very friendly and helpful staff. Pay for two weeks that includes the whole month. The price stated was the average, daily rate for a weeks stay. Well worth the price. We will return. - Train Fan
Jun 2016 - $26.00
The office staff was awesome. If we had any type of problems, they were there to help. The couple is originally from South Louisiana and they are always on top of things. I would definitely stay with them again. - Cajungrl1960
Jul 2012 - $25.00
Sites are a little tight but manageable. Restrooms are excellent, clean and odor free. The owner/staff are very friendly and helpful. There are some shaded spots and we got the best one next to the bathhouse which also has the Wi-Fi, which was strong and fast. They have cable TV but we didn't use it. Our site was a concrete pad which was dead level and we used the jacks for stability only. Power was good and steady. It is close to a road that is fairly busy during the day but no road noise at night. We stayed three nights and would stay here again. - richvks
Aug 2014 - $19.00
Arrived and were checked in by a most gracious host who showed us where our site would be. The sites are gravel/grass, mostly level. In the area where we were, it was hard to tell sites apart. There were three or four sewer connections within 10-20 feet of where we stayed. Cable, WiFi worked well. You have to know the area to make the best use of this and other parks and be there for Friday and Saturday night music sessions. We would return. - db1112
Jun 2012 - $19.00
Campground was OK. A little tight to get around with a 40' and tow. Sites are gravel/grass. Not a lot to do here. OK for a night if passing through but not a real long term place. Will probably look for a different park next time, maybe one with a pool. - sandimal
Sep 2010 - $18.00
We has planned to stay in another park but friends convinced us to stay here. Unfortunately, we think that was a mistake. The sites are waaay too narrow. We could almost touch our neighbors by reaching out our side window and this is the tightest space we have ever seen in our 6 years of full time RVing. I would NEVER stay here again because of the narrow sites. Having said that, the park is convenient to downtown Mountain View and is within walking distance of the square. Wi-Fi worked great and cable TV worked pretty well with some channels being fuzzy. Park is quiet and has a pickin' shed for folks to gather and play music. It's also next to a very nice city park with a great walking trail. If the owners would not try to pack folks in like sardines this could be a really nice place to stay. - Slouman
Nov 2017 - $39.00
The park grounds are situated right on the White River and there is a large bluff on the opposite shore. It is very beautiful and quiet. However, this does not make up for the unlevel site, no cell service, very weak to non-existent wi-fi, no cable, no over the air t.v. channels or lousy sewer hook-ups. Bring a satellite dish, dvds or lots to read because there is nothing else for entertainment after dark. Also it is about a 20 minute drive to Gassville for the closest supplies. The shower house was basic painted cinder block construction and was generally clean. Make sure you wear some flip flops in the shower. The water pressure was o.k.
My travel trailer has black/grey water hookups that are a little closer to the ground than most RVs and the sewer connection was up hill from the hookups. I tried to dig a shallow trench to allow the hose to level out some, but the pvc sewer connection was about 3-4 inches higher than the ground. I could not use my folding hose support to make up for the uphill climb. The rigs next to me had already left, so I had to move my trailer over to a vacant spot to finish emptying my tanks. I had to use about 20 feet of sewer hose to reach the sewer. If your rigs hookups are 15 inches or so off the ground, you shouldn't have a problem.
The site was 3 inches unlevel from side to side and slopes to the river which made my rear steps really high when the trailer was level. I would recommend site 3, 4 or 5. They appeared to be the most level and spacious. The fifth wheel next to us was about 15 feet away from us, but it was ok. The excess parking is in a well manicured grass field across the road from our site. If there are other vehicles parked across from you when you try to pull out with your camper, it is very tight or impossible. Some folks actually pulled out through the field to leave and got back on the road after clearing the parked cars.
If you are trying to get away from the world, telephone and want total peace and quiet, this is your place. Fishing rules the camp and cooking on the campfire rules the day. If you need internet, cell service, a shorter drive to town, etc., there are better choices in Cotter, Flippin or Harrison. - Octane ZX
Sep 2016 - $28.00
This is the best park we have ever stayed at. Well worth the trip and the people are great. Great fishing and great facilities. - Allenb
Jul 2014 - $45.00
Quite, beautiful, and secluded. Stayed 3 nights, but could have stayed a month. Only complain: The RV is 13'4" tall. When I got to the park, I found low limbs going down drive. Climbed on top of my coach to keep limbs from damaging it. - Genecolleen
Oct 2016 - $20.00
Five miles north of Mountain View. Most of the sites are gravel, some level and a few not level with a lot of shade. Most of the campground is flat making easy walking.
Ask for a friendly satelite site if you need TV. We have no AT&T phone service, but their wifi works good.
The little creek is pretty and some tent sites available next to it, but no RV sites next to creek with clear view.
The staff is very friendly. The park is clean and maintained. They have firewood for sale. They rent canoes. - Jloftin
Apr 2016 - $15.00
I, my wife and our two year old stayed 4 nights. It was very family friendly and safe. Our son loved to go see their animals in the shop. We were on the water so we could easily walk to the creek and play within sight of our camper. It is close to the Ozark Folk Center and Blanchard Caverns. Overall a great Family place. We would stay there again and have recommended it to some our friends. - 3child
May 2010 - $21.00
Excellent location right on a beautiful stream. Had level gravel sites, easy hookups and well maintained grounds. Owner does have his "toys" in one area that needs to be cleaned up, but that does not interfere with the campground. - kick
Jun 2018 - $23.00
We have stayed here at least five times a year since ownership changed about 2015 or so. We have stayed there in large motorhomes and medium TT's. The new manager is the most conscientious and agreeable host in my experience RVing for 45+ years. Many of the "regulars" are also helpful, unofficial assistants. Got his number in my phone....call him and ask for a site....fit right in. (just book way ahead for October Bean Fest). Fit a Tuesday overnight into your trip, make a potluck dish, and join in at the theater for pickin' and singin'. - MajorOz
Jul 2016 - $25.00
The park hosts were outstanding! All the sites were grassy gravel and pretty level. There was plenty of room between sites. On Tuesdays, they have a great "jam session." Evenings there are more jam sessions by the court house and all around. This town has a lot going for it in the way of folk music. I only wish it were easier you get to. A person has to definitely want to come here. - 1dinky
Apr 2016 - $24.00
This Rv park is located about 2 blocks from the courthouse square. Easy walking distance. The owners were very friendly and extremely accommodating. We were directed to our site, allowed to get set up and then the owner came to us for sign-in and payment. Most sites are more grass than gravel. A refundable deposit was necessary for the cable which was great. The wifi signal was very strong, the best we had had our entire trip. We will return to thus rv park. - lee72
