We very much enjoyed our stay a Toad Suck Campground. We were in site A02 which looked right out on the Arkansas River and the locks. The site was surrounded by mature, tall trees. I had to place my satellite dish out toward the road, and if you have a roof mount it may not work. Good power and water, and excellent AT&T and Verizon service. After a string of $40 per night private campgrounds $20 seemed like a bargain. We camped at Toad Suck Campground COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Bathrooms are updated. Most sites are level except 3 or 4 sites. Half of sites reservable and half first-come come first pick. Beautiful view of the Arkansas river. Has a boat ramp. Several updated playgrounds with new equipment. Clean Pavilions throughout the park. We camped at Toad Suck Campground COE in a Travel Trailer.

Very close to the city of Conway. Plenty of things to do in Conway. It is a college town with a lot of shopping centers and other things to do.

Nicest COE park we have ever been. Clean, facilities look new, sites are great. As a bonus, you may see barge traffic go thru the lock and dam at Toad Suck. Used as a 1 night stay off I-40. Will stay longer next time. We camped at Toad Suck Campground COE in a Travel Trailer.

Saw the name Toad Suck and thought we HAD to stay here.

It was awesome!! Tons of amenties-basketball court, volley ball area, playground, picnic pavilion, shower and bathrooms, great fishing area. Really nice park. It would be a 10 if it had sewer. Gorgeous view of the river and you can watch the boats load and unload in the locks-part of the Mckellen Kerr navigation system. We camped at Toad Suck Campground COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Great COE park. The volunteers are friendly and very helpful. Restrooms/showers very clean. We stayed in site C01, it was a level site. Enjoyed watching the barges and boats going through the locks. There were basket ball courts and play areas through out the park. There are many sites that are for "walk-up" and even more that can be reserved. If you are going to stay here during the weekend or holidays I would reserve a site. The park is very popular during the summer. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Toad Suck Campground COE in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Walmart is the closest major store to the park. There are many stores and restaurants in nearby Conway, Ar. We ate at Mike's Steak House in Conway and really enjoyed the meal.

This park was a few miles off the main highway but accessible. We pulled in around 1 am and found it easily. A 14 requires some leveling but was not bad. We were staying in the Conway area for a conference and just drove our motorhome back and forth everyday since it is only 24 feet. The park attendant was friendly and the park was clean. We were close to the water and fished but didn't catch anything as it was cold and rainy. Overall a nice park on the Arkansas River with good parking. We camped at Toad Suck Campground COE in a Motorhome.

Folks were friendly and spaces were long enough for my truck and 43 foot fifth wheel. Tv antennae reception was good. Not much road noise in section A next to Arkansas River. Good 50 amp service and ATT phone service strong. Only negative was low water pressure. We camped at Toad Suck Campground COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice area. If you get a site by the river you can watch the lock operations although the tugs are quite loud. The pad we stayed on was really level side to side.

This park was quite nice is almost every way. The site we had was concrete and level, the picnic table area was a very nice gravel, and we had plenty of room for our toad. (No pun intended.) It was a very large aluminum picnic table, and there was a large fire pit/grill. The power and water were good but no sewage (good dump station). We were there over Memorial Day weekend and it was full, so, a lot of people and a lot of dogs. Our neighbor had an unrly dog that they would not curtail, so we complained... found out others had too. They took care of it quickly, which made us quite happy. We were in Loop D, the furthest from the Arkansas River, but it was an easy two minute walk to get to the river bank. The park is well kept, the bathrooms are clean, but there are only two men's and two women's (each of them are lockable). On a non-holiday weekday, that's enough bathrooms, but it seemed too few for a busy holiday weekend. There was a large stand of pine trees next to us which we enjoyed. No WiFi but were able to get Verizon without a problem. On the whole, an excellent park, deducting 1 point because they didn't have sewage at the site. In terms of value, it can't be beat. So, in summary, Toad Suck does not suck! :-) We camped at Toad Suck Campground COE in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Conway, AR is just a short drive away, and is large enough to have just about everything you'd need. We tried out Bob's Grill in the downtown area for breakfast on a Saturday morning and it seemed like the entire town was there, yet we still got a seat, and the food was good. Little Rock -- with even more services/shops/etc -- is only 40 minutes south.

This is a very nice campground right on the Arkansas River by a dam & locks. We got here on a Tuesday around 5:00 of the week of spring break in this area and were lucky to get the last campsite available that we could fit our 34 foot fifth wheel in. We had site B8 which is a great site on the downside of the dam. The only bad thing about this site is a lot of locals come here fishing and this site is next to the parking lot, so there were a lot of people cutting thru our campsite to fish along the river. Water & 50 amp electric worked good. AT&T cell & data worked and so did Verizon MiFi. I will stay here again but look for a different site, not so close to the parking lot. We camped at Toad Suck Campground COE in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a park that we always stay in when visiting family in Conway. As stated in one of the other reviews, some of the sites next to the river are better suited for tents than RV's. That being said, there are some wonderful views of the Arkansas River and the lock and damn system. We enjoy watching the barges manipulate the lock system. Good electric and water and easily accessible dump station. Will always stay here when in the area. We camped at Toad Suck Campground COE in a Motorhome.

Great park. Huge shade trees yet I was able to get a good satellite signal. Paved roads w/paved driveways. A good deal of the sites are really deep and level, easily taking the biggest of rigs with minimal fussing with leveling. If you go for one of the water's edge sites you may get into a steep driveway that is far better suited for car/tent camping than an RV. Water was good, 50 amp power was clean and reliable. Park staff (one retiree volunteer) was a hoot. I definitely would like to return to this park and spend some time exploring along the river. We camped at Toad Suck Campground COE in a Fifth Wheel.
