We stayed 2 nights at this campground and found the staff extremely nice. The bathroom was a single full bath for one person and very clean but not air conditioned. Cell phone reception is good and the camping spaces are well spaced and shaded. We camped at Toad Suck COE in a Travel Trailer.

Nice area. If you get a site by the river you can watch the lock operations although the tugs are quite loud. The pad we stayed on was really level side to side.

We arrived for one night without a reservation. The park was excellent: level, clean, shady, peaceful, and with a view of the dam on the Arkansas River. We camped at Toad Suck COE in a Travel Trailer.

This park was quite nice is almost every way. The site we had was concrete and level, the picnic table area was a very nice gravel, and we had plenty of room for our toad. (No pun intended.) It was a very large aluminum picnic table, and there was a large fire pit/grill. The power and water were good but no sewage (good dump station). We were there over Memorial Day weekend and it was full, so, a lot of people and a lot of dogs. Our neighbor had an unrly dog that they would not curtail, so we complained... found out others had too. They took care of it quickly, which made us quite happy. We were in Loop D, the furthest from the Arkansas River, but it was an easy two minute walk to get to the river bank. The park is well kept, the bathrooms are clean, but there are only two men's and two women's (each of them are lockable). On a non-holiday weekday, that's enough bathrooms, but it seemed too few for a busy holiday weekend. There was a large stand of pine trees next to us which we enjoyed. No WiFi but were able to get Verizon without a problem. On the whole, an excellent park, deducting 1 point because they didn't have sewage at the site. In terms of value, it can't be beat. So, in summary, Toad Suck does not suck! :-) We camped at Toad Suck COE in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Conway, AR is just a short drive away, and is large enough to have just about everything you'd need. We tried out Bob's Grill in the downtown area for breakfast on a Saturday morning and it seemed like the entire town was there, yet we still got a seat, and the food was good. Little Rock -- with even more services/shops/etc -- is only 40 minutes south.

This is a very nice campground right on the Arkansas River by a dam & locks. We got here on a Tuesday around 5:00 of the week of spring break in this area and were lucky to get the last campsite available that we could fit our 34 foot fifth wheel in. We had site B8 which is a great site on the downside of the dam. The only bad thing about this site is a lot of locals come here fishing and this site is next to the parking lot, so there were a lot of people cutting thru our campsite to fish along the river. Water & 50 amp electric worked good. AT&T cell & data worked and so did Verizon MiFi. I will stay here again but look for a different site, not so close to the parking lot. We camped at Toad Suck COE in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a park that we always stay in when visiting family in Conway. As stated in one of the other reviews, some of the sites next to the river are better suited for tents than RV's. That being said, there are some wonderful views of the Arkansas River and the lock and damn system. We enjoy watching the barges manipulate the lock system. Good electric and water and easily accessible dump station. Will always stay here when in the area. We camped at Toad Suck COE in a Motorhome.

Great park. Huge shade trees yet I was able to get a good satellite signal. Paved roads w/paved driveways. A good deal of the sites are really deep and level, easily taking the biggest of rigs with minimal fussing with leveling. If you go for one of the water's edge sites you may get into a steep driveway that is far better suited for car/tent camping than an RV. Water was good, 50 amp power was clean and reliable. Park staff (one retiree volunteer) was a hoot. I definitely would like to return to this park and spend some time exploring along the river. We camped at Toad Suck COE in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very clean and friendly park on the Arkansas river. The water pressure was great and the electric worked without any problems. The park host were the best I've encountered.Stayed for 2 weeks and will be back. I will make this my go to park when passing through Conway, Ar. We camped at Toad Suck COE in a Motorhome.

Needed a one night, walk-up site due to the holiday weekend. They use a parking lot as an over-flow area. It has 30 amp service but no water at the site. Very nice park with well separated sites, shade, and close to the river. Rate reflects Senior Pass. We camped at Toad Suck COE in a Motorhome.

The price quoted is with a senior pass. We had a great campsite in loop A with a wonderful view of the river and lock. That said, there are problems here. Our site was not level, side-to-side. Most of the sites on the inside of our loop were extremely sloped from back to front and would be very difficult for larger RVs. Loop B and some of Loop C has level sites. Avoid loop C outside sites from C2 to C8. Same back to front slope. There are very few toilets (4 mens, 4 womens) for the entire campground. Showers in loop C are new and good. Those in A are old and small. We camped at Toad Suck COE in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a nice COE campground. We were satisfied with the site, but disappointed in the restroom facilities. There are only two restroom facilities and only one of those had 2 very small showers. The restroom facilities were not filthy, but could use some updating. Staff at check in/check out were very nice and helpful. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Toad Suck COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Heard a lot of good stuff about this park and it's all true. It's pretty, the sites are level, the staff is excellent. I'm sure we will be back. If they had wi-fi, it would beat most "resorts". We camped at Toad Suck COE in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a lovely park/campground that gets lots of activity. I had reservations, but on arrival, the staff offered other sites that they thought I might like better. In fact, the most popular site (C10) was just available, and she gave me the option to switch. It is a wonderful site. Partial shade. Drivers side looks out to a picnic pavilion and the passenger side looks out to a large grassy area between looks. The site was on the river and perfectly flat. Friendly staff, well kept grounds, ample 50A power, clean water with adequate pressure. More like a city park than campground, but very nice indeed. I'll be back. This is a very pretty park with lots of trees, paved roads and sites. It has nice playgrounds for children, nice place to ride bikes through the campground and is very well-maintained. It is about five miles from shopping and is very convenient. It is on the Arkansas River and a couple of years ago when we were there, the water was up in a few of the campsites, so check to be sure that the river is not in flood stage. We camped at Toad Suck COE in a Travel Trailer.
