Second time at this park and we chose to stay here because of the location. Both times the park was very dusty with no tv reception. WiFi was great so we down loaded movies. Only a couple of spots where you had a good view of the river. If some of the under brush was cleaned out the view of the river would be great. We will probably check out another campground on our next visit. We camped at Denton Ferry RV Park & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice basic campground. Clean, good WIFI, basic utilities, although no TV over the air. Nicely landscaped and taken care of. Right on the White River so very scenic, and nicely laid out. All the sites are fairly level and have plenty of room for your rig plus. There are several shared fire rings, lots of tables, and the people who work here are very helpful and friendly. Cotter is a very small community, as is Gassville, next door, but both have adequate cafes, and small grocery shopping. For anything major, Mountain Home is only 10 miles away. There is a large RV Center three or four miles from the park. This is a very nice park, especially if you want to fish (either drift or fly fishing is great) We camped at Denton Ferry RV Park & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:
Cotter claims to be the Trout Capital of the US, they stock the White River with 200,000 Rainbow each month. Gassville 3 miles away has Nima's Pizza. Nima's has won national and international awards for pizza. A must if you are a pizza eater. They have a small bakery section too. Great BBQ places in Gassville, Yellville, and Mountain Home.

For the price, it probably should get a 10. But, to me, a "10" has paved sites, a swimming pool and a dog park. And you don't get that for $28. The owner and staff are fantastic. We were there for me to have surgery at Mountain Home and stayed 6 nights.. When the owner found out, he switched us to a site next to the office and bath houses. While I recovered, they offered to help in any way they could, including getting the TOAD hitched up when we were ready to leave. Our site was level and I did not have to but the jacks down. We met several people there for a Good Sam Chapter rally. Everyone we met was friendly. We had good satellite tv and Verizon service. This would be a very nice place to spend a few days to just relax. It is only 10 miles from the RV Park to Mountain Home. We camped at Denton Ferry RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:
White Sands Cafe in Cotter is a wonderful little restaurant. Most business is done at breakfast and lunch. They serve breakfast all day and had several $ 7.95 lunch specials. At night things range from the usual fried stuff, under $10, to grilled salmon, $12.95 and walleye, $15.95. The salmon was drizzled in a special sauce prepared by the waitress who was probably the owner and part time cook. There is a Walmart at Flippin a few miles away.

WE enjoyed our stay at Denton Ferry! Pads were packed gravel very level. Owner was very helpful and accommodating! We just put our jacks down for stability. The sites were big and spacious compared to most parks we visit. We enjoyed a nice shade tree on our site as well. No tv unless you bring your satellite. There's no cable or air signal to be found. Park was very quiet and right on the river, very scenic. We camped in a motor home pretty easy to get in and out. We would stay there again. We camped at Denton Ferry RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

River was up during our stay and fishing was challenging...at least for us. Watched a young lady catch her limit and her husband's in about and hour. We never got a bite! I'm trying to locate her for my new fishing partner.

This is a beautiful, well run park on the banks of the White River. We had a back in site right on the river. The owner is friendly and very helpful. The town of Cotter is not large, but a couple of restaurants and convenience stores are available. Fishing supplies and guide services are also available. Mountain Home, with many more options, is about 10 miles away. Here it is about friendly people, fishing and sitting on a riverside in the scenic Ozarks. The laundry room was nice and had a chest freezer for storing the fish you have caught during your stay. We camped at Denton Ferry RV Park & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Fairly level gravel sites. Wi-fi worked well. Most campers were here to fish as the campground is on the river. Host is very friendly and readily available. My only complaint, if you want to call it that, is that fire rings are not at each site. We would have had campfires evenings, but our site did not have a ring. There is a community ring available, but it's not the same. We would definitely come here again, but reserve sooner to get a site with a fire ring. We camped at Denton Ferry RV Park & Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed during a heat wave, and the humidity was terrible. If you like to fish this is the place to go. It was like a game of musical chairs with reservations. Campers were moved from campsite to campsite, which is really a pain. Positive side was the price of ice was $1.00/per bag. Be advised that rugs are not allowed on the grass so make sure you position your camper as close to the utility outlets as possible. This will allow you to have some room that is not on the grass. We camped at Denton Ferry RV Park & Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Great park for fishing the White River, and the owners are wonderful. There's not much to do here for children if that's a concern. If they had cable I would give it a 10. Very few over-the-air channels. Verizon worked OK. We camped at Denton Ferry RV Park & Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Check river conditions if your coming for fishing. The river was way too high when we were there as they have been releasing water for months to get the reservoir down to normal levels.

Right on the White River, well run campground and excellent staff. We've used the facility for 10+ years and it is always a great place to stay. Quiet, close to grocery and other stores, restaurants within 2 miles, and trout fishing at your door. If you can get one... you would love the riverside sites.
Camp is well laid out and wonderfully maintained. Both pull thru and back in spots, can handle the largest rigs. We

We have stayed here several times while fishing in the area. This is a great campground and you will enjoy staying here. You can reserve a pull-through site or a back-in site that overlooks the beautiful White River. They have a good laundry, 2 washers, 2 dryers, $1.00 each. There is also a nice recreation room adjacent to the office. The manager is very accommodating and helpful. The campground has gravel but dust is not a problem. Sites are very open for good satellite reception and there is a lot of space between sites. We camped at Denton Ferry RV Park & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Friendly helpful staff. All long pull through gravel level sites. Clean bath and shower rooms. Overall a nice clean park. We spent a week here and enjoyed it. The park could use some shade--no trees in the park. It was hot when we were there in the upper 90 and low hundreds. The A/C ran continuously. I would stay there again. We camped at Denton Ferry RV Park & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
