You have to check in at Riverview CG and return to Parker Bottoms. It was a tight turn into the campground but the roads were fine after that. We camped at Dam Site River Campground COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Make a trip in to Eureka Springs and take the shuttle into downtown. Parking in town is inadequate for tourists but the shuttle will drop you off and pick you up at any shuttle stop.

Lovely campground at Parker Bottoms. Sites are fairly large and secluded with a lot of shade. Sites 51, 52, 54 are especially nice. Site 48 has a beautiful view of the bluffs, but is in full sun!! The reservation site: recreation.gov is confusing about this campground. It looks like all 3 are within walking distance on the map (Parker Bottoms, the Pines, and Riverview). They are not within walking distance. So, be aware of that in case folks in your group are split up. Very clean bathrooms and showers. They are even air conditioned which is a blesssing in 98 degrees. There is not a lot of signage getting to the campground as others have indicated. We camped at Dam Site River Campground COE in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Loved the site #48. These are 30 amp no water. Great view. Gravel drive & pad. Plenty of room for truck, trailer and boat. Fire rings but there was a burn ban this weekend. Boat launch is not too far away. Nice river view. Shower house is old and dated, have to keep pressing button to get some water out. Corp park. Park ranger comes around he said to make sure everyone is safe and having a good time. Nice shady park. Easy in and out. Quiet and peaceful. The con is no water, but for a weekend that's doable. Even can find about 6 tv channels, most local. I still find it amazing how trashy people are, I picked up after some folks. However, a raccoon got in our zipped up trash so I'm sure someone had to clean up what I couldn't find. Careful leaving anything out there. Nice little park, will go back. We camped at Dam Site River Campground COE in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground is an Army Corp of Engineers Park and is well maintained and very beautiful. Park attendant was very nice and helpful. She even gave us directions to some local sites to check out. Our site was very nice. Most sites were spaced decently but a few were really awesome sites right by the lake which was nice. We got one of those lake sites and we sat by the water every night. These are electric only sites but water was real close. Dump site was across from the main entrance with easy in and easy out. We camped at Dam Site River Campground COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Most of the campsites at this park are located on a little island in the lake connected to the road with a causeway. The view of the lake from the campsites is spectacular. The campsites are widely scattered. The water level in the lake was low enough at the time we were here so that there was a beach area for walking or pulling up a boat. The only hookup is electrical but it is 50 amp. There was a nice covered picnic table. The main shower/restroom is on the island and has flush toilets and hot showers. The dump station is just outside the entrance with easy access. The campground is a great place to just relax or to use as a base to visit Eureka Springs just 20 minutes away by car. Great rate with the Senior Pass. We camped at Dam Site River Campground COE in a Motorhome.

Nice COE park on the White River. We reserved site #1. We have a 33 foot bumper pull camper and could not level front to back because of the slope of the site. We were allowed to move to site #2 and easily level. All the other sites in this loop appeared to be okay for leveling as well. The bath houses were clean, but only the lower handicapped shower would work in one of the showers. We camped at Dam Site River Campground COE in a Travel Trailer.

Got a walk-up site in the Park (far north) area. Only had 30 amp, but the weather was cool. Also no water at the site, but fill stations close-by. Very nice paved and shaded sites with lots of space between them. As noted previously the river isn't really accessible from the campground, but there is a parking lot and walk-in access to the river at the end of the road. Rate reflects Senior Pass. We camped at Dam Site River Campground COE in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We moved here when the nearby COE campground closed for the season (Oct 31). Campground was 80% full during weekend, but pretty empty during the week. Fall colors were near their peak. Pines loop has 30/20 amp service, while the river loop has 50/30/20 plus water hookups. Fellow campers were courteous. This site is popular with fishermen, who seemed to do well fishing the river for trout. One night, our GPS put us on State Highways 23/187 north out of the city of Eureka Springs. There is a 11-ft 10-inch clearance single-lane wooden-bridge on this route with a 10T load-limit. State Hwy 187 southwest of US62 is just fine for big rigs. Our Verizon voice and MiFi service worked well enough at the river loop (site #10), but a camper had just moved out of the Pine Loop because of problems with cell coverage and tree canopies blocking satellite TV view. We would gladly return here. We camped at Dam Site River Campground COE in a Motorhome.

We stayed in the pines loop. Very quiet. Campsites spaced far enough apart. Lots of trees and shade, but no issues driving through with the motorhome. Good fishing in the river but really tough to walk down to the river. They had steps, but it's steep and winding and a little dangerous, so be very careful. The park itself was very pretty, the site we were in had full shade, which was very welcome in the heat, but the description of a river site is somewhat misleading. The river is 100 feet behind you, but you cannot access it or see it, due to the thick underbrush between it and your camper. I was disappointed we couldn't share the river's cool temperature. We camped at Dam Site River Campground COE in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed in the pines loop, and we always love staying here. It is such a beautiful and peaceful setting. No road traffic noise, and each campsite is nestled in the trees. Many sites have a river view. The sites are not close together so you feel like you have room to move. They have a nice playground for the kids and a wonderful newer modern restroom with showers. It has an easy walk behind some of the campsites to trout fish, and it's a safe place for kids to ride their bikes. The ONLY inconvenience was having to save your trash to dispose of in a different loop of the park. We highly recommend it if you want a beautiful and quiet campground. Park has very nice shaded spots with lots of area between sites. Restrooms and showers are a combo: one person which is fine except there's no place to put clothes and a towel without getting them wet. Corps designers are not RV'ers. The water is clear and very beautiful. We camped at Dam Site River Campground COE in a Travel Trailer.
