This is a small Military RV Park but very well maintained. We stayed 2 nights here and we will definitely be back. Everyone there was really nice. Interior roads were weathered and a little tight for my rig but it was easy to navigate. - Keith Goins
Oct 2017 - $25.00
Midpoint stop for the night. Reserved site was marked. Spacious sites with a small pond down the hill. We pulled in late and left early. The campground entrance is not clearly marked at night. - Rivercityjeff
Apr 2016 - $11.00
What a gem! There's not many things to see in the area but this is that get-away-from-it-all kind of place. If you want a campground that feels like it's out in the wilds, stay here. The campsites were fairly level even though they were spread out on a hill overlooking a small pond and the post. They were spacious with lots of grass and trees. The hookups included 50 & 30 amp, water, and sewer and worked perfectly. There were laundry machines available at no cost. Soldiers were fishing in the pond. The only downside to this place was NO wifi. This is the only military installation I have ever stayed at that did not play the National Anthem in its daily ensemble of songs piped over the speaker system at 0600, 1700, and 2200 hours. - Melodycthomas

Truck problems forced us to visit this RV Park. It is located in a portion of Fort Chaffee military base that was sold/gifted to the city of Fort Smith. The town is a ghost town except for a few workers here or there. The park has lots of very nice RVs; figure most are long term visitors working in the area. Only two spots were available. Price is reflects 50amp FHU, cable (only worked one of two days) and internet. Spacing was acceptable. Spot was the most unlevel spot we've encountered in 2 yrs of traveling full time and was used as someone's ash tray. Connections are at the back of the spot. - MichelleKry

We had a beautiful spot, overlooking two waterways. Easy for fishing. Trees, grassy areas, great hiking. - User3119
Mar 2018 - $10.00
What a little gem!! Nice setting in the forest with view of the river though the trees. We were in the B-loop. Not quite level back-in but leveled off easily. No sewer but water & 50AMP. Easy to follow signage. Only noise was with the planes over-head on approach to Arrowhead Assault & Chaffe Airforce base. But those stopped by 9PM. - Afhertzog_54
Apr 2017 - $18.00
Springhill is another well designed COE park. Campground roads were worn, but in good repair. Interior roads were easy to navigate. Sites were not all level, but we were able to level easily. Many sites were directly along a creek which feeds into the Arkansas River with great views. Some things showed wear, including the picnic table on our site. Fishing and mountain biking are popular in this park. - NJTroy

This is a bare bones over night type park. If self contained it is adequate for stays as long as desired for other outside activities. The park is strictly for travelers or workers. It is not family oriented but is pet friendly. Payment is cash only, and they will accept checks from travelers. WiFi is not great, but available most of the time. - Oddyssey
Aug 2016 - $27.00
Sites are gravel (very little in some sites) and are not level. Hookups are at back of site so we were unable to leave our tow vehicle hooked up. CG is very close to I-40 and there is a lot of noise. This CG is convenient for a 1 night stay but I would not like to be here for more than overnight. Tow vehicle had to be parked in front of our motor home. - Grammy8
Jun 2016 - $29.00
We stayed here on our way home. The lots are angled, making it easy for us to get into. There was quite a bit of highway noise. The lots are long and they have Wi-Fi, but it was spotty. The bathrooms were tidy, and we had phone service. We enjoyed our stay, but we will probably find one a little further from the highway to avoid the noise next time. - lougreene67

Jan 2018 - $38.00
There had been some rain and the park roads and sites were very muddy. We made reservation and arrived early afternoon. No one was in the office (no one was ever in the office), we called and the lady/owner told us to pick an empty spot, she later told us we picked the wrong spot. When paying, we asked for Good Sam discount. She said we had to have the card as the number was incorrect. We printed a temp card for her (the # was correct). We were over charged $50, when we asked about the charge, she said we would need to prove it. We printed a copy of our statement, and the money was credited back. The lady was extremely rude and hateful. Her husband was pleasant. Not worth the aggravation, stay somewhere else. - mfcros
Nov 2017 - $35.00
Cute park, very nice owner. Lots of trees, may not get satellite in the summer when trees are full. Lots, LOTS of pecan trees, pick them off the ground to eat! - laurly
Jul 2017 - $35.00
Good place for stop-over stay. Easy in & out. Large pull-through. Level gravel sites. Full hookups, 50 amp. Lots of trees, trimmed well above rigs. Near river but not a part of river you'd want to swim in! Cable. Probably would be quiet it it wasn't cicada season. Staff (owner?) very friendly and helpful. Some long-term residents. Would stay here again. - DrM Traveler

Jun 2015 - $27.00
This park is a gravel parking lot with very tight spots. The basic rate is $25 but for 50 Amps, the rate is $27. The 50 amp breaker continually tripped in site 30. Management knew it but would not fix it. I was stuck here for four days while the temperature climbed to nearly 100 degrees in my RV. Do not rely on the attached RV dealership. They did repairs on my 5th wheel hitch and the new parts fell out while I was driving to get fuel. I got back to the park and could not hook up to the 5th wheel pin. I won't be back. - KD7UCH
Apr 2015 - $25.00
This is a fairly clean park with continuous distant traffic noise and some train noise.
Sites are dirt and gravel, narrow, mostly not level, in various lengths, without shade. Not all sites have sewer connections, 50 amps, or cable. Voltage is good.
Roads are dirt and gravel, in good condition.
Staff and hosts are friendly and helpful, but can be hard to find.
WiFi is strong. One afternoon I measured 653.6 kB/s down; by evening it was very slow.
Verizon LTE works well.
Showers are clean but lack privacy.
Laundry: 2 top-loaders ($1.25), 2 dryers ($1 for 46 min).
Rate is total with Good Sam. - wjzcbn
Mar 2015 - $25.00
As stated by others, this is really a parking lot for the RV servicing & sales company. It is okay for an over night stay. Others have stated their site was level. Number 25 was not. Big rigs beware. I witnessed a rather large fifth wheel nearly slip into the creek that runs threw the camp grounds. The wheels dipped into a wash that had cut into the gravel roadway. Our entrance door was just 5 feet from our neighbor's full hook up drop. We were 7 feet from his unit. Staff personnel were nice and helpful. The park is pet friendly. Many "sites" appeared to be homesteading or had just dropped as a storage place. Value wise, at $25, was acceptable for clean bathroom and showers. - Laptop Willie

Oct 2015 - $15.00
The city took the police department parking lot and added electricity, water, swear & cable to back of each parking space and called it a RV Campground. Sites very close together: open awnings and touch neighbor. Utilities at back of site so need long hoses, especially sewer. Price is right, you are well protected at police department. Great cable service. No reservations and fills up at hunting season. No other advisable campground in area. We stay here visiting family every year. Caution: Big Tree in middle of lots and small posts in front across narrow street...we crushed our motor home bumper backing in trying to skirt tree in back and not seeing post in front which was below eyesight of driver. - Too Tide
Aug 2015 - $10.00
Seven small back in spaces that can handle up to a 40 ft. camper. Sites are fairly level and are concrete but close together. Quiet and secure. Located next to city park and police station. Walking trail, fishing, and picnic area in park. Pet friendly. To secure a site, contact the police dispatcher. They are polite and friendly. This is a dry county, so all alcohol will have to be consumed inside your camper. Magazine Mountain State Park is nearby. Great fishing and hunting. Will definitely stay again! Walmart just a few blocks away. Crosby's automotive located a few miles East of downtown can repair or maintain most motorhomes and trailers. - Gadzilla

This is a very quiet park behind the golf course that is not easy to find. We were visiting family that live on the golf course so it was very convenient. Water pressure is good, 50 amp hook-up works fine and the grounds are well kept as you might expect at a golf course. I don't think that this park gets much use and we were the only RV there. It is mainly for golfers but they seemed happy to have us. We will certainly be back when we are in the area. We have a 40 foot 5th wheel. - KD7UCH
Sep 2013 - $27.00
Eagle Crest RV campground and golf course was most unusual . You find the RV park by driving through a residential area and into the golf course parking lot. The RV ( 18 ) sites are down the hill and past/behind the gold cart storage building. The park is a tall grass field with some small patios and offers FHU. It was basically deserted ( one other coach ) when we arrived. There are no trees for shade, no tables, no wi-fi, no fire pits and no showers so you better be self contained. It offers highway noise throughout the night. They say they have a host, but he lives on the golf course – not at the campground. He was good to come down and introduce himself and offer assistance. We came here to take advantage of the golf special, but upon arriving, we learned of a tournament, and our promised two rounds of golf might not be possible. I think that the golf professional knew that when he took our call, but he still said come on to the campground. The course wanders through a residential neighborhood and looks fine. I didn’t get to play it because of the tournament. Our below rating covers only the campground. The overall rating might have been higher if I could have gotten on the course. We’re pretty sure we would not consider this facility for a future stop. - 5thwheeler

Dec 2017 - $45.00
This campground is easy to find, just follow the Garmin. Check-in was quick and easy. Staff was friendly and helpful. Interior roads are paved, but narrow. Our site was long, but narrow and not very level. Sites are also kind of close. Full hookups worked as expected. WIFI worked well. Verison had four bars. OTA TV worked great. This is a great place for pets, lots of dog walking room. This is an older campground with a few extended stay guests at the upper end. It's also a really pretty park with lots of grass and mature trees. This is a decent place to camp, but we probably wouldn't stay here again. - Hurqleez
May 2017 - $45.00
The campground was not terrible if it was operated better. The bathrooms were updated and clean. The pool was not so much. It was swim-able but with bugs in it. The older man who checked us in was, in a word, crotchety. I asked what time the pool closed and he said "you can do what you want, you can drown, you can catch a cold, I don't care. I am leaving." I had no response. If pressed I would stay here again for a short amount of time but hope I am not pressed. - MandM12550
May 2017 - $35.00
Good Place to over nite or spend a few days in the area. 3 miles off of I-40 easy access. It is an old KOA but is in excellent condition with paved roads and gravel pads that are mostly level. - Danny285

Nov 2016 - $20.00
This is a overnight stop park. It has no services other than full hookups. It is located right next to the road. My front bumper is less than 10 ft from Main Street. It is a rural area but there is traffic noise all night. The area is clean. The price is OK considering. Limited space to walk the dog. Owners are friendly. - RB-KB
Sep 2009 - $20.00
I know it says there are pull-through sites but I couldn't really see them. Kept thinking I was in the wrong part of the park. There is a sign out front to 'pick a spot'. It a very basic camp but there were hookups for the water, electric, and sewer and it was fine for an overnight stay. The gentleman who ran it was very nice and the price was certainly good. It was just outside of Waldron. - vblake
Nov 2005 - $16.00
Nicely maintained, mainly a 'parking spot' for working guys but good amenities and great rates. Discount for weekly hookup, and easy-going owner (park and drop payment when you leave!) made it a real pleasure. - john_bunton
