Catherine's Landing was a very nice park and honestly, wish we would have had more time to spend there. Everything was well maintained and space between rigs was good. It backs up to Lake Catherine and has a nice dock area. At the resort you can rent boats, kayaks, scooters or golf carts. They also have a zipline course, although we didn't do it. Pool was nice; store was really nice. We camped at Catherine's Landing in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Ziplining and rock hunting

Wonderful park. Spent a week in our motorhome. We will return. Concrete pads, patios, charcoal grill, FHU, cable, wifi, paved roads throughout. Very friendly staff. We camped at Catherine's Landing in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Hot Springs is a great place to see and do. Historical, Natl. park, outdoors, boating, fishing......definitely a busy week spent without doing it all.

The park is very nice, it was very quiet and has many amenities. Very natural setting with lots of shade trees along the bank of the river. Slots are very well organized and easy to access with plenty of room between slots. The boat launch and dock are well maintained as are the grounds. The only problems that we had were the Internet was slow and not many channels to choose from on cable. We will come again. We camped at Catherine's Landing in a Fifth Wheel.

We have stayed here three times. It is run well, the sites are all level and a beautiful location. This trip we took the zip line tour which was right on site, very good for the money. We camped at Catherine's Landing in a Motorhome.

Large, modern camping resort for RV's as well as cottage and yurt rentals.

The resort has a nice website with an online booking feature. Online reservation system is not set up for a 1 night reservation. The drop down only allows you to select 2 or more nights, so if you want only 1 night you have to call. I believe this is due to the 2 night minimum they have for cottage or yurt rentals. When I called, they were busy and had to call me back and then there was some confusion w/ my email address so there was quite a bit of back and forth however it turned out to be a wonderful place to stay that I would definitely recommend.

Very large store with all types of items for sale from RV supplies to water toys, camp chairs, local wines and food items.
You can rent bikes, kayaks, paddle boards, boats and golf carts. There is a dock and a day use area for storing trailers and boats.
Roads are asphalt with several large speed bumps. We stayed in site # 24 which is a pull through site. All lakefront sites are back in sites. The lakefront area is on a channel. You can see the water but there is not an expansive lake view and you cannot access the lake from these sites so I am not sure it's worth the price difference. All sites are concrete and asphalt with grass in between and concrete patios. Each has a firepit, grill and picnic table.
Large trees surround the campground but only smaller trees are located at the campsites, providing little to no shade.
Wifi was very good at times and not so good at others.
Pets are allowed. There is a fenced dog run near the lake.
Lots of amenities including large pool, hiking trails, disc golf and zip lining.
This is a large, spread out resort. There were at least 4 sets of bathrooms throughout. They were clean, modern and well appointed. Each shower stall had a solid door that you could lock and contained a separate area with a bench and hooks outside of the actual shower area. We camped at Catherine's Landing in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Note that gps may direct you to take roads with low hanging trees. Take 270 to the Carpenter Dam Road exit. Turn south on Carpenter Dam Rd and then left on Shady Grove Road. Take Shady Grove for a couple of miles to the cg entrance.

Very nice RV park. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms are very clean. I would recommend booking a site by the waterfront as there is a little more shade since this is a pretty new park with no mature trees in the middle. I would stay here again. We camped at Catherine's Landing in a Travel Trailer.

As good as it gets. One of our top five favorite parks. Well designed, exceptional management, easy access to and in the park with our 40'+ Big Rig RV, blacktop drives throughout, level concrete pads, and all at a fair price (rate reflects a week's stay). We would definitely return. We camped at Catherine's Landing in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

If you go to either of the Hot Springs National Park spas, make sure you have non-cotton swim trunks so you aren't refused access to the water unless you buy a pair of "their" swim trunks.

This is a beautifully maintained park with large sites right on the river. We had a pull through site. Roads are asphalt and those that house RV sites are crescent shaped which makes for easy entry and exit of the site. This also helps to keep your neighbors sewer hook up quite a long way from your front door. Plus, the sites are large. If you are planning an extended stay, you may want to request a site that has the afternoon sun to the driver side of the vehicle. Otherwise, you will have the afternoon sun on the front door. All sites are concrete with a concrete patio and pull through sites are big enough to remain hooked up if you are there for an overnight stay. There is a launch area for your boat and the park also has boats to rent. Laundry facilities are very good and washers and dryers are $1. Bathrooms and showers are tile and immaculately maintained with lots of hot water. This is a great place for families. We will definitely stay here again. Be sure to follow the campground's directions to the park. Your GPS may not take you to the campground. We camped at Catherine's Landing in a Fifth Wheel.

We had a full hook up pull through site which was very easy to get into and out of. This park was definitely designed with large rigs in mind! The sites are long and wide and the park roads are very easy to maneuver around. The sites are concrete and blacktop with grass and immature plantings separating you from your neighbor. Even with slides out there was plenty of room around the RV. The washers and dryers were inexpensive, $1.00 for each. The pool area was beautiful but we never had a chance to use it. The park is on a river and has boat rentals and a boat ramp. This is a destination park! It's clean, quiet and well designed. We'll be comparing all other parks to this one!! We camped at Catherine's Landing in a Fifth Wheel.

This is definitely a 10/10/10 park! We stayed at a 'premium' site on the water for 4 nights. It is well worth the extra cost to sit there and relax beside the lake, plus you get a larger yard. The pads are all concrete, the staff is friendly, and the heated pool is awesome! Internet worked great, and was sufficient for our daughter's online school. We never even turned on the Mifi. If I had one suggestion, it would be a closer dumpster to the campground. The last trash pickup is around 4 or 5, and we tend to generate a lot of trash in the evenings. We camped at Catherine's Landing in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

You cannot go wrong. We enjoyed the lakeside site, but would also be happy with one near the pool.

The rate reflects a weekly rate. This is an excellent park. The staff are friendly, really helpful and informative. The sites are long and spacious and easily accommodated our trailer and tow truck. Roads are tarmac with concrete pads and patio area and grass areas between sites that is mown regularly. Park maintenance is high standard, the restrooms/shower blocks have large stalls, very clean and in very good condition. Trash is collected from your site. Cable TV picture quality very good and excellent robust wifi. Large heated outdoor pool with plenty of loungers. There is a pavilion, disc golf and other activities. It is close to several State Parks, Garvan Woodland Gardens and the Historic Town of Hot Springs with the famous Bathhouses. Our one small grumble is that the pet owners use the grass between the sites to exercise their dogs although there is a Bark Park, they do clean up but that is not the point. We camped at Catherine's Landing in a Fifth Wheel.

This was our second stay at this park. There's a lot to like here and they try hard to be a destination park. Positives include squeaky clean park, long mostly level paved sites, wide roads, lake access, swimming pool, rental boats, pavilion, zip line, and Frisbee golf. I can only think of 2 negatives. They have nasty speedbumps and their free wifi is speed limited to 240kps. Both Verizon & ATT have good signals and most of the park is good for satellite access. Price reflects a weekly rate. We camped at Catherine's Landing in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here for 6 days - had originally planned for 2, but this is such a quality resort that we extended our stay. The sites are level, nicely laid out in a large arc of 3 rows that aligns with the river area. There is a nice fishing dock as well as boat and kayak rental. The office and pool area are first-class. They have a large covered group area with restroom facilities there also. We stayed longer also because our motorhome and numerous others went through a hailstorm at the park and needed insurance estimates or repairs. The staff was gracious in helping guests extend their stay or get items taken care of. We have already planned a return trip for August. We camped at Catherine's Landing in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Catherine's Landing is on the SE edge of Hot Springs. Plenty of shopping and restauarants are available less than 5 miles away. The National Park springs and bath areas are close by in town.

Nice scenic setting along Lake Catherine. Roomy sites and well maintained. It's not a far ride to Hot Springs if you want to go into town. The showers were nice size and kept very clean. Nice sized pavilion. The office has some snack foods and Rv supplies. We didn't swim but the pool looks nice and clean. Our rate reflects a weekly rate.
