Stellar RV experience!
This campsite is all that the website promises - spacey campsites, grill pits, picnic tables, excellent pool area, wonderful pool and guest facilities, right on the water and surrounded by trees, although there were no trees on the campsites. It is close to Hot Springs, so it can easily be used as a base to tour the area, but it is nice enough to just settle in and enjoy the campsite. We camped at Catherine's Landing in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Overall we enjoyed our stay here, although there were some drawbacks.

We met some family members who stayed in a yurt. They also recently added tent camping sites.

Positives:
-Without question, this is a very clean, well kept park. Bathrooms exceedingly clean.
-Felt very safe. Of all the RV parks we've stayed in (have been RV'ing for 1.5 years), they had a nice mix of mid to upscale RVs and patrons. More upscale, higher end RVs then we've seen at other parks. They do have some people that stay for the season.
-Friendly staff.
-Well stocked store with mix of food, drinks, t-shirts, etc.
-Nice sized entertainment room in the lodge.
-Awesome zip line on the premisis (cost extra).

Downsides:
-no shade. Anywhere. Except by the yurts and tents.
-Barbeque pit too close to the patio, could cause awning damage. We needed to retract ours to prevent damage.
-The orientation of the parking spots was such that the afternoon sun beat right down on you.
-The lake is more like a river in the area that goes by the RV sites.

In about 15 years, once the tiny planted trees get big, this place will be such a treat if they can maintain the rest of their current standards. We camped at Catherine's Landing in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

In town, we really enjoyed going to the Max Blade magic show. The Purple Cow has the best milkshakes **ever**, even some "adult" shakes with spirits mixed in. Also if you have kids, check out the Mid-America Science Museum. This was top notch.

Newish RV park, concrete drives and grass, spotless, clean, very friendly staff and grounds folks. A great place for kids and families, some sites on Lake Catherine and you can rent pontoon boats, bicycles, canoes, fishing guides, etc. Large pool and play area, rec/TV room, pavilion, exercise gym, cabins. Picnic tables, fire pits &barbecue at each site.Trash pickup. BUT follow their suggested directions to get to the park which is about 12 miles from Hot Springs downtown. But the development is down a curving road, through residential areas. Huge trees and we enjoyed our 2 night stay. But you must drive to get into town. Shopping everywhere, plus the hot springs within hotel style buildings. This property is part of a national chain of RV resorts, all newish. Escorted to site by staff and help offered getting settled if needed. We camped at Catherine's Landing in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We were in Tiffin motorhome. We needed a minor repair and called the Tiffin RV dealer in LittleRock and they were very rude. Not interested in talking repair if we had not purchased our Tiffin from them.

This beautiful family vacation destination park is extremely well laid out for all sized RV units. With the Yurts, Cottages, Tent Camping and RV sites, there are accommodations for all types of camp opportunities. We were intrigued with the interior road names like Half n Half, Buttermilk, 2 Percent and our road of Holy Cow. It all makes sense when you learn the park was built on the historic Humphreys Dairy cow pasture. The old dilapidated dairy structure is still standing across the street from the entrance to the RV park and makes for an interesting photo. Because shopping and tourist attractions are driving distance, would recommend a car. As mentioned in previous reviews, this is a really nice park. The paved sites are roomy, hookups work great, trash is picked up daily at your site, and bathrooms were clean. Our site was near the launch, so it was easy to get our kayaks in the water. They rent kayaks, canoes and boats, as well as bikes and golf carts. Would have given this park a 10, but the equipment in the laundry was in sad shape. One of the 4 washers was out of order, and another guest said it had been like that when she arrived 3 weeks ago. While a $1 to wash and $1 to dry is more than reasonable, this park is so impressive it was a bit disappointing. Having said that, we would definitely come again and would recommend this park to anyone coming to this area. We camped at Catherine's Landing in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Would highly recommend spending at least a few hours at Garvan Woodland Gardens. The gardens are beautiful and the Anthony Chapel is an architectural piece of artwork. Lake Catherine State Park is also beautiful, has several well marked hiking trails, and entrance to the park is free.

This was our second stay @ Catherine's landing, both stays June '15 and '16 were excellent. Very pretty, clean, and just a pleasant place to stay. Each visit we were attending our family reunion so I look forward next year to going a few days early to just enjoy the park. I did notice they are adding things each year. This year they had added new trees next to some of the sites and the disc golf was open. We camped at Catherine's Landing in a Fifth Wheel.

A beautiful place. It is on the shore of Lake Hamilton with a boat ramp in the park. Easy check-in, well marked roads. Very impressive park. Staff was excellent, and the area was very clean. They offer trash pick up twice daily. The angled sites are very easy to get back into. This is a great place to stay while visiting Hot Springs. We camped at Catherine's Landing in a Fifth Wheel.

Think Catherine Landing is the most expensive RV park we've stayed at, but so far, it also has been the best. There is not too many negatives I can find about this park. Big dog park, super clean restrooms/showers, concrete pads with plenty of space to stretch out, a great little store on-site, salt water pool, not to mention the other activities, like the boat ramp, zipline and disc golf for those that are interested. While we were here for the Arkansas Derby and spent a considerable amount of time in Hot Springs, we could've easily stayed at the park and not ventured into town once and called it a great long weekend for us! We had a lakeside camping spot we thoroughly enjoyed as we had a front row seat to the sights and sounds of nature. This park we recommend whole heartedly! We camped at Catherine's Landing in a Motorhome.

Very clean park. We stayed near the pool/lodge area. Lodge has a decent selection of products including some beer and wine. Pool was still open and usable. Restrooms and showers were clean. There is a disc golf course on site and several nature trails as well. Site was level with full hook ups and a concrete pad. Cable TV available and was decent quality. Wildlife all around. Absolutely beautiful park. This is a first class RV park with plenty of room for big rigs. Easy access. All roads and lanes are paved. All sites are very long concrete pads and concrete patio with picnic table. Each site has 30 & 50 amp. WiFi is good all day long. Cable TV offers numerous channels. There are cabins and yurts. Also a huge gorgeous pavilion. Bathrooms offer individual potty rooms and individual shower rooms. I especially like that two large hooks are provided on the back of both potty and bathroom doors. This park sits in a high mountain meadow close to the mountain peaks. Consequently it gets a lot of sun! Park is surrounded by old growth tall trees. This park was built in 2010 (5 years ago) and many young trees were planted throughout the park. Unfortunately Arkansas has been in severe drought for a number of years which has kept the trees and shrubs short. Sites are spacious with wide grass areas on each side. The Lodge is beautiful with an RV store, front office, meeting rooms, baths and laundry. Laundry has large washers and dryers. Each $1.00. Gorgeous heated salt water pool with two shaded areas and numerous tables and chairs with umbrellas. There is a boat launch from the park right out onto the lake. Park rents boats, kayaks and canoes if you do not have your own. Staff are so friendly and very accommodating. And the other campers have been very friendly also. Close to shopping and restaurants. We wish we had planned to stay much longer. And we will definitely be back. We camped at Catherine's Landing in a Fifth Wheel.

Large quiet campground right on the river. Huge well-heated pool. 90-100 foot long pull-throughs, concrete pads, fire pits and BBQs at each site. Also a marina with rental boats. Bike and scooter rentals at the office. Can't find anything negative to say. Trash pickup at site twice a day. Stayed here in 43' motorhome with toad. Wow what a facility. Beautiful location, quiet. Our spot on river was great and worth the extra cost. Deer everywhere, and hookups, cable TV, WiFi were terrific. It was rainy while we were here so couldn't really take advantage of all this park has to offer but we will be back. After a hectic, crazy, exhausting week this place was soothing to our souls and very relaxing. Loved it! We camped at Catherine's Landing in a Motorhome.

This Park, part of the RVC Outdoor Destinations group, is a modern, big rig friendly, site. All streets are paved. All sites are concrete with good sized patios, fire pits and charcoal grills. Most sites are pull-thru with numerous back-in sites along the river. The Park offers numerous amenities including golf cart, scooter, bicycle, and boat rentals. There are few grown trees in the central section of the Park. Cable and Wi-Fi signals were good. But, I would have given this Park a 10 rating but, even with offering over 25 channels via its cable service, none of the ESPN channels were offered. C'mon man! We camped at Catherine's Landing in a Motorhome.
