6 RV Parks near Jasper, Arkansas
Oct 2015 - $32.00
We had stayed at this park several times. It is a family run business and the owners kids help with the chores. In its prime it would have been a nice park. Now it is tired and worn. The roads are rough, but passable. We stayed in #32. It is intended to be 3 spaces, but the owner usually only puts us in it by ourselves. It is gravel with some larger rocks mixed in. You have to make a hard left hand turn on a blind hill to get in to the site. If you are in a class A or a large fifth wheel, they will put you up by the office on the hill. I don't like those sites because you are right on top of your neighbor. One of the cabins is located right where you turn in to the site, but it is not a problem. The whole area we were in is about 120 feet long and 30 feet wide on a terrace. It hasn't been raked in some time and had gum balls all around. The site was dead level, had 50/30 amp service, good water pressure, close sewer connection and 64 channels of cable. The main reason we stay here is the location. It is right in Jasper and close to everything, but quiet and you have a feeling you are further out. The highway noise can be heard, but it is not bad at night. The only shower house is located in the center of the park and it is tired, but clean. There is one male shower and restroom and one female shower and restroom. Normally, there is no wait. There are several full time "campers" there, but they keep to themselves. The whole campground is on only 3 acres, so just about everything is tight. If you are going to Jasper to enjoy the campsite, forget it. It is the convenience of the location is why we use it. There aren't any other full hookup places close unless you go towards Harrison or Gilbert. We haven't stayed there when the pool is in use so I can't comment on that. It appears nice though. The site was very shady. - Octane ZX

This is a small, family owned and operated park that is perfectly located for spending a few days exploring the Buffalo National River area of Arkansas. The family is super nice and accommodating. This is my kind of park: no frills, affordable, tree canopied sites, quiet and within reasonable driving distance to area "attractions". Nothing fancy and there are several full timers living in the park. But, they are located on the outer perimeter (for the most part). The owners obviously care about the park and seem to be working hard to improve the park. - OTL2015
Jun 2014 - $14.00
Resort? Don't think so. The owners and staff are friendly and helpful. There is a small pool, but this is one odd layout of a park. And tight. Our pull-through was a pull-through after the people camped in front of us left. If we would have planned to leave before them they would have had to move their truck & their canoes. This park is convenient to a lot to do in the area. Quiet at night. I was glad we had Passport America. If in the area again, we would look for another park - it was just too tight to navigate and stay. - 3catstravel
May 2011 - $22.00
We spent 3 nights here on site 2 and our friends stayed in the bunkhouse. Owners are very friendly and accommodated all our needs. Sites were level and shaded. Bunkhouse fully stocked with bedding, bath, and kitchen needs. Shower house was clean. Only campground close to the Buffalo River that takes trailers. Floated the river one day and hiked on the Centerpoint Trail next. Very quiet and peaceful campground. Will go back for some much needed relaxation. $75 a night for bunkhouse. - PJ Beans
Apr 2015 - $1.00
The campground is closed. Swimming pool filled with rubble. Passport America called owner and owner advised campground is closed until further notice. - fander
Oct 2013 - $13.00
Great value (Passport America) for a base to explore sights near Harrison. Lower rating because very it a basic and old park with narrow, gravel spaces. But, utilities worked and Internet very good near office. Restrooms showed deferred maintenance conditions. Very friendly and accommodating owners. Would stay again. - LoneWolf

Quiet, friendly family operated park close to Harrison, Arkansas and convenient to the Buffalo National River area. - tomtweiss
Jun 2017 - $34.00
We stayed at this campsite the first week of a 3 month journey. This was away from major highways, very quiet and in the woods, good shade. We toured 2 caves in the area, very impressive.
During our travels through 10 states we kept a log on most to least impressive campsites. Shady Oaks was in the top 10 (even compared to 2 resorts). Looking at the previous reviews I was shocked to see the 2 star review from October 2016. We seen no full time campsites in the park and we always do a walk around. No clutter seen. It would be sad if a poor review was posted to a wrong campground.
Clean restrooms. Spacious, mostly shady sites. We would stay here again. - r0bert beamer
Mar 2017 - $32.00
We stayed two nights here and were very pleased. The owner has spent a lot of time and effort on the grounds. We have 2 young kids, and the playground area was nice, fenced in, and roomy. We felt comfortable letting them go play on their own. The sites were roomy, shady (although it was early march and the oaks were still dormant), and level. It was NCAA tournament time, so we were happy to have cable TV included. We bought firewood and had some nice fires in the pit provided. Some of the trees appeared problematic for maneuvering at first glance, but the owner was very helpful in giving the best path to get in and out of your slot, and we had no problems. The bath house was very clean and well maintained. I would have given this campsite a 10 if it weren't for Wifi. I asked my husband to go back to the office to get the password for it, and while waiting in line, he heard the owner tell the guest ahead of him that she didn't give out the password - that you were here to camp. So he did not ask. We value wifi, as we need to check email and keep up with family members, so this was a disappointment. - khogan
Oct 2016 - $33.00
Came to ride motorcycles in the area a couple of days. Very clean and quiet park, well maintained, lots of space between sites. Best cable picture in all the campgrounds we've been to. Couldn't use satellite dish but really didn't need to. - PBS
May 2017 - $35.00
We stay here for up to a week every few years while we visit family. The park has improved regularly, the owners are friendly, diligent and do a great job. Sites are generally level. - Dave Gead
Oct 2015 - $35.00
If you have to stay in this area I guess this is as good as anything. Owners are very nice, just nothing special about this place at all. Sits are pretty close together. - NPmoto
Jul 2015 - $27.00
As mentioned by most reviewers, the owners are very nice people who work very hard to keep their park nice. It is an old park that is configured in pull-through "buddy" sites that are very close together. For big rigs to reasonably hook up at posts better located for smaller RVs, sometimes you end up with door-to-door situations in very small spaces. Way too much togetherness. The pool is closed permanently, so we understand. The Wi-Fi was fast and dependable. Very few long-term residents. We will use this park again on an overnight or weekend basis. - Cockapoo Lovers
Aug 2017 - $27.00
Our stay was enjoyable. Nice staff and easy registration process. The camp has a joint use entrance with a business, so there isn't excessive room to maneuver and you might get caught stopped in the highway, but there is a WB center turn lane. Our row of sites were less than 100ft. from the highway and road sound is channeled towards campgrounds. Gravel sites were level, wide and long enough for the camper and toad. Some shade, but trees didn't impede the slides, awning or satellite reception. Utilities were as expected and up to spec. Only thing missing was the cable outlet, but nothing a splice barrel couldn't solve. Wifi was reliable and fast even during the heavy use times. It's a nice neighborhood of extended stays and overnighters. - duster340
May 2017 - $23.00
Park was OK. Restrooms were not cleaned regularly and there was such a strong smell of cigarette smoke. Rest of park was maintained well. Our site had walnuts falling on roof which worried us due to our solar panels. Would ask for a different site if we stayed there again. If we could find another place, would probably not stay here again due to restrooms. Convenient location. Staff was very nice and helpful. - ouachita princess

Parkers RV is an excellent RV park! Well run and maintained, with absolutely sparkling clean bathroom facilities! The park offers a pavillion for gatherings and plenty of space between campers.
There's a real feeling of community here between the long term renters and the short termers, each helping the other when help is needed.
Though it's hard to tell who is a long term renter, everything is kept so neat and tidy.
I highly recommend Parker's! - KimberlyCole
