4 Parks near Lake Village, Arkansas
May 2010 - $15.00
We stayed here one night in a 40' 4-slide motorhome and would stay here again. We were in site #2. Not a long site so we had to unhook. Back-in site was not quite level. This is a city park that caters to people/families who like to fish on the weekends. Lots of open grassy space. Has a nice lake area. This is a pleasant place. We stayed on a week day, weekends are probably very busy. Good value for the price. Nice friendly camp host on site. - woodallmd
Nov 2009 - $15.00
This is an older county park. Large paved sites with plenty of space between you and your neighbor. Nice concrete picnic tables on a gravel patio. Sites on the lake have only water and electric. All others are full hookups. Water pressure not very strong. Nice camp host and laid back attitude. Said she would be gone the afternoon we arrived, but to just pick a site and she would find us in the morning to settle up. Only 30 amp electric, and I think not always full 30 amps as we tripped the breakers several times in spite of being careful. Located on the inside loop of the oxbow lake and it takes 20-25 minutes to get into town for any services as you must drive around the lake. You MUST eat at Rhoda's in town. Looks scary from the outside, but the best road food we have ever had. Awesome fried chicken and catfish and homemade pies. We would not only return, but go out of our way to come here! - Wandering Wishnies
Jul 2006 - $11.00
This is a very well maintained park on the banks of Lake Chicot. It is owned and operated by Chicot County and the staff is very friendly and helpful. A number of the sites have sewer connection, but the lakeside ones do not. There are some long-term residents since they do not have a limit on length of stay. The park is usually full in the springtime fishing season, but they do take reservations (only a week or so in advance). - biga

Nice park once you get here. Eight miles of a very narrow county road. Two big rigs meeting will be dicey. We camped right on the lake. Got wifi through cellphone hotspot. All major broadcasters on the antenna. Typical of a state park. That's not a negative comment. - arkietraveler
Apr 2015 - $22.00
Price reflects a $10 senior discount. Our first impression was not good. A 9 mile long, bumpy paved road to get here, and pretty dreary campground since the trees had not yet leafed out, and severe thunderstorms were in the forecast. After the pleasant staff relocated us to a waterfront site and we got settled, our opinions improved. On a nice day (ours was not) and with some leaves on the trees, this would be a very beautiful park! Full hookups, electric and sewer in the far rear, water in front. - rncordy
Apr 2015 - $32.00
We love Lake Chicot State Park. It's quiet, clean, with large sites, and lots of wildlife. Last night we watched several deer grazing next to one of the pavilions. We always stay in the premium section but we've biked all around the park and most sights are fine unless there has been lots of rain. Some of the no frills sites tend to flood. We will be back. - cropduster
Apr 2013 - $15.00
Did not stay at this park, but drove by on the way to Lake Chicot State park. I called to get some details. 6 sites have 50 amp service. They were booked up as most sites are yearly rented. Some sites are available for weekend fishermen. - easydoesit
Oct 2015 - $28.00
We overnighted here on our way through. We like this park better than others in the local area. The sites are level gravel, grassy, dirt. The area is partially shaded by old pecan trees. They no longer provide much shade to many of the sites due to past wind damage. The park provides a launch ramp into Lake Chicot for campers. No reservations are made. They have lots of sites. You pick your site on a first come basis. - jwindham
Oct 2015 - $29.00
This was just a stop for the night. We arrived when the office was closed, but the owners live onsite. Their daughter came out & said she was coming over to check us in.
This park has lots of long term, but the units are kept tidy.
If you use your satellite this park is not for you. It's nice and shady.
We'd stay here again if passing through. - 3catstravel
Aug 2015 - $29.00
We spent many of years here as our first nights stay on trips to Florida to see the kids and grandkids. It's was always easy to get a pull through so we could make a quick departure. This time Highway 65 was finished with its widening but for some reason the campground took out an entire row of sites and seem to be concentrating on their motel more that the campground. The cable didn't work, it was very noisy and this park was a great disappointment. We will not stay here again. - Mr. Camper
