Wonderful parkl While it has an area for long-term/resident stays, there's a large area of spaces for overnight/short term stays. All spots I could see were flat and so close to level we didn't even bother with our jacks. Parking spots area grass and marked by wood borders, which lend a nice rustic appearance. Grass is closely mowed with no weeds showing anywhere. Dirt roads are level with no ruts. Plenty of room to walk dogs. Park shows lots of care. Cable TV was a nice bonus. WiFi not the strongest, but it sufficed for our needs. There were few people the night we stayed. The spaces could feel a little close, but we've stayed in a lot tighter places. The older reviews that have a negative tone are 180 degrees out from out very positive experience. We'd gladly stay there again. We camped at Pecan Grove RV Park in a Motorhome.

Big lake across the road, but it's a four-lane road without a median. We didn't inquire about water recreation as we were only overnighting.

Across highway is beautiful Lake Chicot. Only downside is sites are not concrete but lots of grass. A great overnight stop or longer to see some beautiful farms and see some historical sites. Nice town!! Nice park!! We camped at Pecan Grove RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stay here when going to Florida and unhook and drive to Greenville, MS to the famous Doe's Eat Place for an awesome steak, salad and hot tamales. Make a reservation or call for take out! Also Paul Michael's is next door! Sorry hubby's!! Or eat from the COWPEN.

We visited this campground in June of 2017. Our first impression was good. The Mississippi River was across the street running parallel to the park. First appearances showed that most of sites were level and pull-through, dirt and grass surface. It was a rainy day and we understood rain puddles here and there.

We had to use the restrooms before completing hookups. Here's where we changed our minds. The bathrooms, showers, and laundry were housed in the same building, quite a distance from road next to the grassy area that led to building. There was no walkway to the building, had to walk through tall wet grass (6-8" high). A screen door/porch entry allowed excess to the facilities within. Upon opening screen door there was an obvious odor of urine present. The laundry room (upon peeking in) had a musty smell. All facilities within this building were outdated. The garbage containers were without lids and the one next to our site had holes in the sides with garbage open to air and falling through holes. Being Good Sam Members we were "embarrassed," how could this happen. We need say no more. We camped at Pecan Grove RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Price included tax and was given a Good Sam's discount. It had been raining and the park was basically flooded. We didn't realize how bad it was until we had paid for one night. I was given the wrong site # so we had to go back to the office to get the correct one. Roads were narrow as were the campsites. Couldn't get on the wifi. Grass needed to be mowed, but since it had rained for several days, we overlooked that part. Quiet and not a lot of road noise. The worst part was the mosquitoes. They had control of the entire area. We camped at Pecan Grove RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very quaint, peaceful spot that is beginning to fall apart. Which is a shame, as a lot of the 100 year old pecan trees are dying and on every tree there are limbs that have either fallen, or blown down from storms or rot. We tried pull-through spot number 2 and the power didn't work so we were told to hook up to number 3 next to us as the husband of the park was tired and busy cutting up and hauling away pieces of one of their huge pecan trees. In about an hour we got a power surge and it fried our inverter box filling the coach with burnt electrical insulation smell. We spent the rest of the evening rewiring our coach to limp home and during the night it rained hard, so there were puddles lined up right outside our door to splash in and jump over. We stayed here 4 years ago and it needed gravel put down back then, but for whatever reason, no money seems to be going back into the park for updates. We seemed to be the only ones with electrical problems though, so it may have been just our time. If I were to recommend anyone staying here, I'd advise against parking underneath any of the pecan trees. The owners are pleasant folks and it's right across from the lake and boating and fishing, but the dock is also falling apart. We camped at Pecan Grove RV Park in a Motorhome.

This was just a stop for the night. We arrived when the office was closed, but the owners live onsite. Their daughter came out & said she was coming over to check us in.

This park has lots of long term, but the units are kept tidy.

If you use your satellite this park is not for you. It's nice and shady.

We'd stay here again if passing through. We camped at Pecan Grove RV Park in a Motorhome.

We overnighted here on our way through. We like this park better than others in the local area. The sites are level gravel, grassy, dirt. The area is partially shaded by old pecan trees. They no longer provide much shade to many of the sites due to past wind damage. The park provides a launch ramp into Lake Chicot for campers. No reservations are made. They have lots of sites. You pick your site on a first come basis. We camped at Pecan Grove RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We spent many of years here as our first nights stay on trips to Florida to see the kids and grandkids. It's was always easy to get a pull through so we could make a quick departure. This time Highway 65 was finished with its widening but for some reason the campground took out an entire row of sites and seem to be concentrating on their motel more that the campground. The cable didn't work, it was very noisy and this park was a great disappointment. We will not stay here again. We camped at Pecan Grove RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This RV Park should really not advertise FREE WIFI as the signal strength fails to exceed one or two bars - irrespective of location within the facility. The staff delivered friendly and professional service throughout our stay, and the 100 year old Pecan Trees provided plenty of shade. Located directly across the street from Lake Chicot, watersport enthusiasts have easy access from the private dock and boat ramp. However, the owners should consider reinvesting in a new fishing pier and gravel for the RV Sites. The grounds are well maintained and the showers / restrooms appeared clean and sanitary. We enjoyed our stay. We camped at Pecan Grove RV Park in a Motorhome.

Be sure to see the Arkansas Visitors Center - they have every bit of information needed to see all parts of Arkansas organized for easy access. One of the nicest Visitor Centers we've ever seen.

We stayed here overnight on way to New Orleans. The rate reflects price with two additional people. It was very muddy but not really their fault since they received a lot of rain. Site was gravel but level. Reliable full hookups, good cable, and good antennae reception. Wifi worked but they limit it. Reception was nice and they sell local honey and nuts. There's a nice lake a across the highway which I'm sure would make for great fishing. Not much nearby. We drove into Mississippi (about 15minute drive) for dinner at Rivals bar and grill which had decent food and drinks. There's also a casino about ten minutes away for any gamblers. We would stay at this park again, but only as a pass through. We camped at Pecan Grove RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park doesn't live up to the Good Sam rating of 9.5 in appeal. It is badly in need of gravel for the sites and roads as all was muddy. We were going to stay more than one night but continued on after one. I guess if you like fishing it would be great. We camped at Pecan Grove RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed here 2 months while working in the area. Staff were very friendly. Most sites reasonably level. Restrooms clean and odor free but quite old. Internet not too bad parked under the antenna, but limited to 2 gigs/day. Free cable. Lots of grassy area for dog walking. Right across the busy 4 lane from lake access. The campground is bordered by fields where soybeans are grown. They harvest in September and the dust is awful. There are also some of the biggest most bloodthirsty mosquitos I have ever seen. Not the campgrounds fault but still an issue for us. 2 washers and 2 dryers that do not all work equally. About normal mix of long term, short-term, overnighters and storage. Neighbors not super social. No planned activities or cook-outs by staff. It suited my needs very well while I worked in the area. Rate figured at 435/month. We camped at Pecan Grove RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Greenville MS is just over the bridge about 17 miles. The casino is OK if that's your thing, but the town just seems...dangerous. And dirty.

If you are looking for the amenities and ambiance of a high end destination resort then you need to go somewhere and else pay three times as much. If you want a decent park for an overnight stay for a good price, then this is the place to stop. This park is literally across the highway from a very large and attractive lake, so for boaters or fisherman this could be paradise. Our spot was near the highway so we had a beautiful sunrise view. This came at the cost of having some highway noise, but we didn't lose any sleep. Easy access from either direction. Lots of huge shade trees. We camped at Pecan Grove RV Park in a Motorhome.

Office personnel very nice. Park has many permanent campers, with their stuff all over their sites. Very close sites. Was crowded and very noisy when we camped there. Road noise is constant. First and last time here for us. We camped at Pecan Grove RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
