This was our second stay in four years. It was almost full when we arrived and we couldn't get the nice pull-throughs on the back side that we had before. The host, a very helpful gentleman, met us and recommended spot 8, as it was level and we didn't want to unhitch. When we got there I saw that the person on spot 7 had plugged into spot 8's 30 amp. The pedestals are dual sided and his 30 amp was defective. I was lucky I had an adapter. (Or maybe he was lucky I had an adapter). I connected to the 50 with it. In the morning I opened the black tank valve and turned away to do something else. The sewer overflowed and blew the dump hose out, spilling sewage all over the ground. It was an awful mess cleaning it as best I could. We pulled out to the dump station to finish the clean-out and I left a note about the disaster in the camp hosts mail drop. If I evaluated this park on the basis of my experience on spot 8 it would get 1 star, but I know the newer part of the park is nice. Also I saw construction where there are expanding. Use the Arnold Street gate. They quit letting RVs use the west gate. We camped at Little Rock AFB FamCamp (Military FamCamp) in a Travel Trailer.

Safe, easy access, no frills. Wish they took reservations. Had to call twice while on the road to see if there was room for the night. We camped at Little Rock AFB FamCamp (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.

Nice little RV park. It isn't very big but has pull through and back in sites. All sites have full hookup. It is a first come first serve - no reservations. This was the first time we had 'chanced' it and we ended up in site 19 that is tucked in with woods on 3 sides and plenty long enough for our 39' fifth wheel and truck. Very private and cozy. Some sites are concrete, some asphalt and some gravel/grass. The road in the front part is asphalt and the back part is gravel. Water pressure was good, no WiFi and no cable. We camped at Little Rock AFB FamCamp (Military FamCamp) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The park is very near the commissary and exchange and the base is pretty nice overall. It is located very near good restaurants and shopping.

We stayed here on a 1 night stopover on westbound trip. Excellent pull through sites, plenty long enough for our 38 ft RV plus small trailer. Level concrete pad. Nice, spacious sites. Back in sites are lovely in the edge of the trees. Looks like tons of stuff to do if you are looking for an extended stay. Convenience store with gas pumps just outside the campground. I would definitely recommend this campground and hope that we get the opportunity to return for a longer stay. We camped at Little Rock AFB FamCamp (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed here one night while traveling east and enjoyed our stay. There is a lot of construction on 67/167 so it can get backed up. Getting to the camp was confusing with the construction on base on Vandenberg Rd with no detour signs. If the construction is still ongoing and the left turn to Arnold Rd from Vandenberg is closed, take the next left at Thomas Ave, left on Cannon Dr, then right on Arnold.

We were greeted right away by the camp host and told which spots were available, to pick one then come back with the site information and payment. Despite what is listed, all sites are full hookup. There are eight pull thru sites and the rest back in. We had a pull thru concrete site which was plenty wide but the length of the concrete pad was a little short. The rear tires of our 35 ft 5th wheel were at the edge as were the front tires of our truck, which might make for an issue with larger rigs. There was a large lip between the pad and the road on the front and back, so take it slow. All the utilities worked well, no wifi or cable, but Verizon coverage was good as was over the air TV reception. There is a nice picnic area near the entrance of the park and walking trails nearby. We did not hear a lot of jet noise, which was very nice.

The value is great (how can you beat $15 for a full hookup pull thru), the location is quiet, it can be a great park, we just didn't spend enough time there to get a long term feel for it. If passing through again we would definitely return. We camped at Little Rock AFB FamCamp (Military FamCamp) in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This is not a fancy or modern park, but it is a nice little park in a quiet, secluded area of base, adjacent to a nice big common picnic area, a few ponds, and a nature trail. I did not see issues with long term residents as did earlier reviewers. I visited in mid September and had my pick of sites. Some are on pads, out in the open, and others are on dirt, backed into a grove of trees. I chose one of the dirt sites, and loved it - it was a huge, level site with almost complete privacy because of the trees. A few of the dirt sites were not level. The customer service from Outdoor Rec was superb, but the live-in "hosts" were MIA for the entire week I stayed. They had a big sign on their door saying "CLOSED," and directing people to a self-serve station or Outdoor Rec. There is no wifi, but about a mile and a half away is the Walters Community Center, with open wifi and a big lounge. There is a great shopette within walking distance to the camp, with a large frozen food section. The cell service is good. The camp is very quite and peaceful for being near a good sized city and on base, except twice a day, when an abnormally loud reveille and taps are played. I enjoyed my stay and would return. We camped at Little Rock AFB FamCamp (Military FamCamp) in a Travel Trailer.

The positives of this campground are the price, it is quiet, there is laundry available, level concrete pad, open air space for satellite and phone card to work, 30 and 50 amps at all sites, convenience of base facilities, and shoppette just across the street. There is also a beautiful lake at the campground where fishing is allowed if you have State and base fishing licenses. We will stay here again as it is close to where our son and his family are stationed and because of price; however, we were very disappointed in the condition of the campground compared to our visit of 3 years ago. When we arrived this time, the grass was at our knees. We saw the grass crews mow all around the lake and down on the "lower" area of the campground. We were in the "upper" area and it did not get mowed. We were also in the middle area of concrete pads and there was no black water dumping. There were a Lot of the sites being used for what seem to be permanent or long term use. We were told we could only stay two weeks. There were many here longer than that. One had plants and a signpost with the camping family's last name on it. This gives the campground a feeling of being a mobile home park rather than a campground. The area around the bathroom/shower/ laundry building had tall grass there, also. The bathrooms needed paint and cleaning. The showers in the women's bathroom had black mold growing in them. The campground would be lovely with maintenance and a less number of permanent campers. We camped at Little Rock AFB FamCamp (Military FamCamp) in a Fifth Wheel.

If you like spiders then you’ll love the bathrooms and the laundry room. They're everywhere. No fires, no shade trees. Large enough sites but overall the place is a bit dumpy. We camped at Little Rock AFB FamCamp (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.

We loved this place! Yes, it's not perfect, but it's so peaceful and outdoorsy. Your chances of getting sewer is very small, but there is a dump at the entrance. Great little trail a short walk from our site. Dogs loved to play at hunting. We only stayed one night and all worked well. There is no cable, pool, or clubhouse but there is a convenience/gas station across the street. We camped at Little Rock AFB FamCamp (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.

Don't expect to get one of the 50A, water and sewer sites, they're mostly filled by hosts and long-term campers. The pull-through sites in the back are elevated concrete and while wide, are too short to leave a tow vehicle connected. These sites are 30A and water only, with a pea gravel patio area with table. No cable TV or WiFi, but a clear shot to sky for satellite and Verizon cell and Aircard worked well. Our site faced a decrepit trailer with multiple cars, chain-link fenced kennels with barking dogs, and lots of junk. Be prepared for a loud recording of "reveille" at 7:00AM on weekday mornings. Overall an OK stop for the price, but we won't go out of our way to stay here again. Military or DoD ID, or sponsorship by military, required. We camped at Little Rock AFB FamCamp (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

The little Rock AFB Family Camp is open to military, active and retired, government employees and to guests of the Airmen who are stationed there. It is spacious but all the sewer hookups are back in. There are two wings with the back wing being more isolated. The sewer connections are only on the outside loop, none on the interior concrete pads. The pads are reasonably level and well drained. Its quiet and surrounded by large trees. The streets on Little Rock AFB are not well marked but the essential services are all there. Check in is @ Family Rec in Bldg 460 which is also the Data Center on one side, opposite where you check in. We would stay there again.
