6 Parks near Marianna, Arkansas
Oct 2015 - $32.00
This is a relatively new state park.... i believe that i read that it is the newest Arkansas state park. It is small and very nicely laid out on what appears to be a small island in the lake connected by a causeway. We really liked the park, and it was a great place for kids to explore and play with very little traffic. The only negative is that there is very little to do or places to eat in the nearby town. so if you like to set up and stay put, then this is the place for you.... if you like to set up and hit the road exploring the area... you may find yourself back at the campground after about an hour. I will say that the new visitors center is very nice with lots to look at for the kids. - Bama Bill
Sep 2015 - $16.00
This is the newest state park in Arkansas and it is wonderful. Sites are all level, full hookup. Bathroom facilities consist of 4 lockable rooms, each with a toilet, sink, and shower. Very nice.
Sites are well spaced, and every one has a view of the small lake. There is a nearby swimming beach area, in addition to a boat launch ramp.
There is a nice hiking trail across the road from the campground, with signs identifying the various species of trees found in the forest, some of which are fairly old. - HercMaster
Aug 2015 - $26.00
This was our second trip up there (no phone service with verizon)! We had #4 first time and #14 last time! These are great lots & from Monday thru Wednesday we were the only ones there. We love going to the mouth of St Francis River on the Mississippi River and fishing! Caught nice size blue cats!! Love it up there! - sjall242
Oct 2013 - $20.00
No showers or toilets! You get a clean space with utilities. Cable TV available from local cable provider if staying for a month. Half of sites are level concrete, rest are grass or gravel. Working utilities. Staff very friendly and helpful, but office (in next door car lot) closes as five (after hours - pick a spot). Work performed on utilities at many sites, some access holes not filled in, so mounds of dirt at utility hook ups. Quiet at night, but residents in back MHP leave for work early. It's OK if you just need a base to explore the area. - LoneWolf
Sep 2013 - $20.00
We pulled in here on our way home from Gulf Shores as it is about half way. No office at the campground, it is in a used car lot next door. Arrived at about 4:30 pm, and no one was at the office. Someone who lives in the MHP behind the campground said it was $20, and he would get the money to the owners the next day. After paying, with absoutly no paperwork, we then find out there are no bathrooms or showers! Not an issue with most RV's, but a tent camper is an issue. Guess what, no refunds! There was traffic through the park all night long, and we were the only ones that were not "permanent" residents. Moral of this story is if you have a self contained RV this might be an overnight stop but not with anything else. I'll drive 100 miles more next time to avoid this place. - bipeflier
Feb 2012 - $20.00
We travel a lot for business and found this park via the internet. The owners are extremely nice, pleasant and accommodating. Unfortunately this park has seen better days and needs updating. There is a run down MHP behind the campground that must be accessed through the campground so there is a lot of through traffic. They do not have bathrooms, showers, or laundry facilities. The garbage dumpster is a long distance away behind the MHP. The plus side is the sites are paved, with full hook-ups, and good water pressure even though the sites are narrow. Shopping is located within a couple miles and the casino in Lulu, MS is approximtely seven miles away. - kandid61
Aug 2016 - $25.00
As you drive into the RV park on the access road (kinda from the grocery store parking lot and behind the restaurant) you might wonder what you are getting into. But the park is a very nice place to stay, especially if your on the road. The park only has about 25 sites as of now but there are about 10 pull thru sites in the middle that can handle the biggest coach with tow attached. No showers or restroom but still a good value as full hookup and cable were very good. You do get some noise from the interstate but not unbearable. Level gravel site with nice grass between. - 1texan
Aug 2016 - $25.00
Of all our years RVing, I don't think I have ever run across any park owner more involved and more caring than here. And it's always kept in pristine condition. We were here one time for several weeks, and my husband helped him out with some of his landscaping. This guy works hours and hours every day keeping this place immaculate; we are very impressed.
One of the cool things is if you call him and ask him if he has space, he will let you know. But then he will even put a cone on one of the lots for you to reserve it if it's filling up and you know for sure that your coming. Then he will send you a text with a great map and directions on how to get into the park. Don't tell him this, but he could charge way more than what he charges.
All of the sites are from what I can tell completely level. We have never had to do any leveling as many times as we have stayed here. Almost all of the sites are pull-through. E-Z Check In & Out because if he's not here, you can stop at the Ole SawMill Cafe when you arrive and check in there, or you can stop as you leave in the morning and pay up. The rate is $25 for 30 amp and $30 for 50 amps. It's a deal!
It is well lit at night, he has security cameras everywhere, and keeps an eye on the place via his mobile phone.
Enjoy! - ASHLittle
Jul 2016 - $25.00
A simple overnighter stop. Far enough off I-40. Watch closely for the blue/white signs for the Colony Inn and the campground. Be prepared to turn right just past the Exxon. It will look like you are pulling into a Food Giant grocery store parking lot. Which you are. But keep looking to your right for the last blue/white sign which directs you to the campground. The owner is very concerned that you are taken care of. Nothing fancy but does the job. - CharlieB
Jun 2016 - $22.00
Again, this is an RV park not a campground. My review of last fall gives more information about the park. The sites have FHU but can have leveling issues and be tight if the park is crowded. For my third visit in a row, the park was only about 15% occupied. There is cable and unreliable internet. I still consider the check in at the hotel an unacceptable inconvenience. Not staffing the RV park is one reason the bathrooms and showers are not clean. - Jerry S
May 2016 - $25.00
Stayed 5 days. Pool is available in the Hotel. Good golf next door - nice sites with plenty of room. - wchape
Oct 2015 - $20.00
As the name states this is a casino RV park. No patio, picnic table, grill or place to relax outside your RV. It is a nice clean well maintained place to park your rig however. The property is manicured and pleasing to the eye. Let's face it; the owners want you to park and head to the casino We are not gamblers so the casino is of little attraction to us. But we did enjoy a few day to relaxing and shaking off some road rust. There is a very nice golf course next door and I recommend it. Interior roads are paved with nice concrete pads to park. All the utilities are in one location at the back of the parking pad. If like me, you may need extra sewer hose. And yes ..... you have to check in a the hotel. It's not a big deal. Times are tough in the casino business so the office at the RV park remains closed. - bamawig
May 2016 - $20.00
This is an RV park not a campground. Thus, there are RV sites, not campsites. The sites are large concrete pads with FHU and cable TV. There is no internet service. - Jerry S
Mar 2016 - $15.00
Great park for overnight or a couple of days. Many casinos in area. Park is immaculate, but NO trees at all. Concrete pads and shuttle to casino. - scooterrooter
Nov 2015 - $20.00
Excellent campsites with paved pads, tables and grills. All are pull-through with water, sewer, and 50 amp power. The laundry is quite good and reasonably priced. As stated in previous reviews, call the hotel on the phone at the bath-house before pulling into a site. The very low cost makes this a nice place to stop for a while. We would definitely stay here again. - wandrr
May 2014 - $16.00
Nothing significant has changed since I reviewed this park 20 months ago. Check in is still at the hotel and the sites are FHU. Your "back-in" site is designated by a 3 sided open box of white lines painted on asphalt. WiFi is available in hotel lobby and there are no other amenities like bathrooms, showers, cable, pool, etc. - Jerry S
Oct 2012 - $16.00
Due to some unexpected changes in our trip itinerary, we stayed here on Halloween night. The "park" is an edge of the asphalt casino parking lot with painted white lines delineating the sites. The sites are FHU back-ins. Our site was a bit uneven but manageable. From what I saw, I think most site are a bit off level. There is a cable TV receptacle in the power post, but no cable TV. I was able to get Wi-Fi in the RV. I'm guessing that it was from the casino hotel as it was listed as WISLELES. As of 10PM, we were the only RV in the park - that's a first. That may be one of the reasons we were able to get the Wi-Fi. There are no park facilities - bathrooms, showers, office, or any other park like amenities. You check in at the hotel desk and they assign you a site . If you are into gambling, or just want a cheap FHU place to stay, this is OK. I'm not sure I'd stay here again since it is 10 miles (2 gallons of gas round trip) off US61. - Jerry S
Nov 2011 - $8.00
Very few amenities. The ones they were supposed to have worked perfectly. Would be nice if there were trash cans in the RV area. The $8 rate reflects a 1st night free discount on a 2 night stay, otherwise would be $16/night. A discount coupon is available at the nearby rest stop/information station. Check out the casino promotions for food offers. - bluesnugs
