This KOA is just off I-55, and traffic noise is noticeable around the clock (and we were in the back row). It is easy off-and-on the highway, so it made for a good overnight stop for us. Check in was easy, however, we waited outside for at least 5 minutes for the escort to our site before proceeding on our own. The campground has a small clubhouse, laundry facility, and a pool. Not sure I would want to stay for more than one night, however, as it is pricey for the amenities provided. Sites are all pull-through and gravel. Hookups were convenient. There were cement pull-throughs, but many were broken cement and were uneven. Navigation through the park was easy with big rig. They did have cable TV so we did not activate our DISH. Good Verizon signal, and their wifi was decent. Bathrooms/showers were older, but clean. Disappointed by this KOA. This should be a destination park, being so close to Memphis, but it felt like just another place to stop for a night. We camped at Memphis KOA in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is a typical KOA that hasn't made site improvements in years and is well past when they should have been made. The concrete pads were all broken up and uneven. Although I asked for a pull-through with satellite reception, the first site I was put in had a tree blocking all signal. Add a large ant hill next to the picnic table and I asked for another site. After two days, I was given another "premium site" which was a good site. While I can't blame the KOA necessarily, we were INUNDATED with mosquitoes! We could not enjoy sitting outside at all and in fact, opening and closing the rig door would result in chasing at least a half-dozen mosquitoes in the rig. My big complaint is KOA doesn't seem to have a standardized definition of the use of "premium site". In OKC, it meant a beautiful patio with fire ring, patio table and chairs and it felt genuinely "premium". Here it was simply a designation based on what the park thought it should be called compared to their other less than desirable sites. If you are a large rig & towing, I would insist on being in sites A thru H. We camped at Memphis KOA in a Motorhome.

We did an overnight stay at this KOA on our way to the Nashville area. It is typical of most KOAs, with easy access to the interstate, friendly staff and generally well maintained facilities. Large trees and lots of shade. Our particular site was a pull-through with a concrete slab. However, the slab was cracked and sunken and moderate leveling was required. One of my Anderson levelers broke in the leveling process. Our particular site was on the end of a row, and did not have a grill like the other sites. Good place to stay for a night.... We camped at Memphis KOA in a Travel Trailer.

About a 10 mile drive via interstate to get to downtown Memphis area. Campground has a restaurant serving breakfast and BBQ dinners.

A few tight turns to get in and out for a 45 ft motorhome ... but doable if you take it slow. Great group in the front office, very friendly and helpful. The BBQ sandwich you can purchase and have delivered to your motorhome is really good! What Memphis BBQ should be. Didn't use any facilities as this was just an overnight stop. Our site was a FHU, pull-through with cable TV. It was fairly level and roomy enough for us. Lots of trees except for the concrete sites. Many recent reviews have mentioned flooded grounds and terrible bug problems. We were here when the park was dry and the bug season has not yet begun. Although it was quite warm, the pool was not yet open. This is a decent park. Our site was gravel, looking at the concrete sites they were the worst that I have seen. Most were cracked, broken and not level. The rate is to much for what it is and distance from Memphis. Also lots of I-55 noise. Would probability not stay again because of that. Overall Rating:

We have not stayed here since October, 2014 and that review is still fairly accurate. Our site was a FHU, pull-through with limited cable TV. It was fairly level and roomy enough for us. Due to lots of trees, there do not appear to be any satellite friendly sites except for the monthly sites in the back of the park behind the owner's residence. Many recent reviews have mentioned flooded grounds and terrible bug problems. We were here when the park was fairly dry and the bug season has not yet begun. Although it was quite warm, the pool was not yet open. Again, I thought the price was a bit high for the preseason. This is a decent park that can have issues due to weather and Mother Nature. We camped at Memphis KOA in a Motorhome.

We did not have a reservation, so we had a back in site with water and electric. The site was very close to highway 55 with lots of road noise and smell. We have stopped at this park a few times prior, and camped further away from road with full hook-up and pull through. Good easy off and on park for one night. We camped at Memphis KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Pretty expensive for what was there in my opinion. Good park though. We had a pull through facing the owners home. Far enough off the road to really negate the road noise. Easy in and out. Good satellite hookup and strong Verizon signal. Wifi was adequate and cable was good. Lot of OTA channels. We camped at Memphis KOA in a Motorhome.

I stayed for one night, just passing through the area. The staff was very friendly. I only hooked to power; I used the bathhouses for shower and bath. The park is infested with mosquitoes (this was late August 2017) and so was the bathhouse. The bathhouse need some cleaning and fumigation to get rid of the mosquitoes. The noise level is bad, they have a train that passes by and to me it seemed like it passed by every 20 min ALL night. We camped at Memphis KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This has gotten to be a tired, old and run-down campground, not indicative of the many other KOA's we've stayed at. The concrete pads, like others have said are narrow and crumbling. Electrical boxes and other in-ground things prevent you from swinging wide into the site to get on the pad. For the third attempt we asked for and received a gravel site. We camped at Memphis KOA in a Travel Trailer.
