Access to this park is up a very steep, windy road. Our 45 foot Class A pulling a trailer made it up and down - carefully. Well worth the climb! No pull throughs. Since we are seniors and have 50% discount, we set our trailer on one site and camped on another - so cost was winter rate of $14. Very nice spacing between sites. Lake Gleeson is beautiful. Lots of wildlife. We camped at Parker Creek COE in a Motorhome.

This is another in a series of Corp of Engineers sites we have visited here in Arkansas and it's just as beautiful and cheap as the others. Electric & water sights are $16 and they honor the Senior Pass so only $8 a night for us. And it's right on Lake Greeson in a gorgeous setting. How can you beat that? You can launch your boat right from the day use area that is along the lake in the campground. The sites are well spaced. We had to try a couple before we found one that didn't require a lot of leveling, but that's little enough to have to do for such a great deal. Mid-week in late we were the only ones there the first night and the place is huge...I think over 50 sites. There are two restroom/shower buildings. The building is bright and clean with two toilet stalls and one shower. The shower is tiny and has a "rain head" type shower head that takes up almost the whole stall so that it's difficult to get away from the water to apply conditioner unless you turn the water completely off. There is also no shelf for shower products so you have to just leave them on the floor while you shower. And the "changing room" part of the shower stall is only about 2.5 feet by 3 and has one tiny hook and no stool. How you are supposed to dry off and put on clean clothes is beyond me! Since we were the only ones in the campground at the time, I just left my clean clothes on the counter by the sink and came out and sat on the toilet to put on my pants. If the campground was busy, that could certainly be very awkward! I just used the shower in my rig after that. My only other complaint is that the self-registration box is on one side of the restroom building and we drove by from the opposite direction so didn't see it and couldn't figure out where to pay. There is a campground host, but they were apparently off duty and the entry booth was closed for the season. I finally saw the box while walking my dog and paid, but they really should have a better set up. We camped at Parker Creek COE in a Truck Camper.

As a COE campground, this one is pretty good. We were at a site across the road from Lake Greeson, and there were many boaters who had campsites nearby the boat launch and dock. The town is a few miles away, and it's just a short distance to Crater of Diamonds State Park. There is a dump station and potable water. We had an electric only site, but there seemed to be some other sites with water and perhaps sewer. We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed it very much. It appeared that most sites would require at least some leveling. We camped at Parker Creek COE in a Motorhome.
