This a City owned and operated campground. The campground was a little odd. Utilities were confusing in t way they were arranged. Pipes, water hoses and wood laying at sites free to use...? The sites were very unlevel, the WIFI is horrible, BUT, There are a lot of things to see, and do in the North Little Rock area, including in the park, and this campground is centrally located, but you still have to drive. It is extremely quiet. We camped at Burns Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We used the address listed on this site and on RV trip wizard (84 arlene laman) and although we did get to the Burn Park (which is very large and multiactivities...) and went the wrong way to get to the RV park. Lesson learned! We will now call and speak to someone at the park for specific directions. We went down narrow park roads, near baseball fields, softball fields, soccer fields, etc. which had nice views but low hanging branches and drug on our 40' MH roof many times. OUCH! Once we found the RV park, thanks to the camp host, it was very nice. Our nice level pull thru spot wasn't available though and we went to spot 28. No sewer but did have 50 amp and water. This spot was very, very tight quarters for a 40' MH that had to be backed in. Multiple trees were a challenge. The bath house was nearby and was clean however I found the water pressure similar to what we have in the MH. if your TT or MH is 32' or less you probably will not have problems. We won't return since our 40' MH is too large for this park. But, if you're looking for nature, this is your spot! We camped at Burns Park in a Motorhome.

STINKS They should call it Stinker RV Park. Our site, site 20, was next to the park sewage processing tank, which emitted sewer gas. To quote the movie Christmas Vacation: "I pity anyone who lights a match within 100 yards..." At times, we smelled an intense sewage smell. They should relocate the sewage tank at least 100 yards away from any campsites. At least 10 sites were subject to the gas. We camped at Burns Park in a Motorhome.

Nice little gem off 40! Host was friendly, even with us pulling in unreserved and late at night. Tall trees, quiet, and a long driveway for big rig. Showers and bathroom nice and clean. I saw sites with long hoses and multiple connections, but most were not like that. We camped at Burns Park in a Travel Trailer.

Attention runners and walkers! What a gem Burns Park is !! I wish we could have stayed longer but we were just passing through. Very, very nice park...a bit older but very clean, very pretty setting. Spaces large enough for our motor home with 4 slides. The best part of our experience was meeting the welcoming hosts. Next best part was access to a running/walking path near the campground. I did a beautiful, 1 hour run on the river path, which wound through a well maintained park with many, many sports fields. Bathrooms and water fountains available, open, and clean all along the path. I believe Burns Park is a city owned park, and a is place Little Rock can be proud of. We camped at Burns Park in a Motorhome.

Great, helpful hosts in a very nice setting in a huge city park with tons of things to do. I really wish the campground was in better shape. A real mix of sites including newer concrete, asphalt, and gravel with a huge variability of being level. Hookups are a complete mess with many sites having to tie into the neighbors water, electric, and in some cases, sewer. The host had to bring both an electric extension and water hose to our site so we could connect to the site next to ours. The city supplied extension cord looked to be a 30 amp cable with 50 amp plugs. Dangerous. Most sites appear to be used by long term residents, but are pretty clean and quiet. I've never seen such a mess of sewer connections....up to three RVs tied into one sewer connection. A couple of sections of sewer hoses had to be pushing 100' long. The entire campground reeks of black/grey water. Close to the interstate so a fair amount of loud road noise. Heavy tree coverage, so no satellite reception. With the exception of a few low hanging branches, the campground is very big rig friendly. Good Verizon, poor AT&T hotspot coverage. If the city invested some money into this park campground, it has the potential to be great. We camped at Burns Park in a Motorhome.

Manager could not have been more pleasant. This is a simple park in a modest forest. It was quiet and clean. While the RV park lacks recreational items (pool, tennis courts, etc.) or a store of any kind, the larger Burns Park is loaded with trails, golf, and other recreational facilities. You can walk to golf - but no real facilities there (like food) or a bar! Odd, even for a muni. You need to be 100% stocked. We camped at Burns Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

You have to go quite a ways to shop for anything at all. I took a short walk to the golf course for a Sunday lunch - no go! No food or beverage operation at all. Even the closest bar and grill is several miles distant.

Older campground with newer management trying to clean up and beautify the campground. Lots of long stay trailers that new management is trying to remove so it will be a campground and not a trailer court. Hilly with asphalt roads and sites. Many sites are long but variably unlevel. Water and electric seem variably located by or away from a site. City added some long gravel sites but never added planned water and electric, which sites some tenter/pop-ups were using. Some long stay residents have PVC pipe sewer pipes running up to 50 feet from site. Bathhouse is clean, hot water, 2 showers and 2 toilets at men and women's. Lots of trees. Host depend on maintenance via work orders to city. Dump on wrong side of one way camp road. I got good free WiFi. Burns Park campground is a short convenient distance off I 40. Good for an overnighter with reasonable price. Very nice hosts. We camped at Burns Park in a Motorhome.

I don't write often but I would like to get the word out about Burns Park at exit 150, Little Rock AR. We have traveled from Spokane Wa. Stayed at several "campgrounds". But when we arrived at Burns Park we had finally made it to a real campground. The sites are spacious, clean and trees all around. I am looking forward to spending over two weeks here. To top it off, we were welcomed by the Park managers. They were warm, welcoming, inviting and informative about the area. Hope you have the opportunity to visit this Park. We camped at Burns Park in a Motorhome.

Would give more stars if I could! My wife and I had a wonderful time staying on the camp ground here. The new management was a sweetheart and very friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean and conveniently placed. Our site was spacious and quiet. Fire wood scavenging was allowed which was a plus for me as most places don't allow this. We will definitely be back to stay again! We camped at Burns Park in a Tent.

This park is a fulltimers park, and it had only one vacancy. All others appeared to be living there. At the older restrooms, they had an RV parked at each of those as well. Narrow roads, pot holes, some residents have lots of stuff outside, lots of wood piled up, work materials, etc. We camped at Burns Park in a Fifth Wheel.

I stayed here 2 months while working in LR. Spacious, shaded sites; friendly, helpful hosts; clean, odor-free restrooms. Burns Park offers trails, geocaching, dog park, and "funland" for kids. There are soccer, golf, baseball, and tennis complexes. There are boat ramps and fishing docks. All this in the middle of the city, but you'd never know it when you are in the park. The price is the most reasonable I have encountered. It is exactly as described. For that, I rate it a 9/10 I wish there was cable, internet, and showers that were NOT on a 20 second push button timer. But over all its a super place to stay! We camped at Burns Park in a Travel Trailer.

Rare to find a nice quiet wooded and secluded campground this close to a major city. Located in a huge city park with bike trails and hiking trails, and all sorts of activities. Plenty of shade trees on each campsite. New restrooms/bath house. Paved, with paved parking pads. Lots of space between campers. And ONLY $18/night., because it is owned by the city. You can't find a nicer park for this price. Very quiet. Friendly campers and friendly managers. Close to everything in Little Rock. I enjoyed it. We camped at Burns Park in a Travel Trailer.

We have stayed here many, many times and loved it. Now it is a trailer park for permanent residents. There were only 2 spots vacant on a Wed. All others permanent in tents or campers. One camper had attached a tarp to his camper and one of the bathrooms, made it into his personal add-on. Trashy, lots of outside stuff. We went to another park and loved it, and it was cheaper. We camped at Burns Park in a Motorhome.
