5 Parks near Paragould, Arkansas
Nov 2016 - $10.00
A community park that is used by many of it's residents. We stayed here 9 days waiting for cooler weather before moving further south. There are ducks and geese that wander around, but they didn't bother the camp sites or the campers.
To register and pay you must go to the community center. They then give you keys to access the electric hookups, water, dump station and showers. See the city website for details.
We would stay here again. - User2260

This is a city park with a limited number of spaces. Park is kept picked up but the Canada Geese make this place a mess. Geese are there by the hundreds. It is located on a very small lake. There is fishing from the bank. Staff at community center which runs the park are very friendly and will help all they can. Some spots are shaded. We were visiting relatives in Paragould. - travel2011
Sep 2015 - $20.00
Most sites are fairly level, some might require a bit of leveling. Bathroom very clean. Sites are reasonably close to one another, even though the park itself is quite large. Several nice hiking trails. - HercMaster
Jun 2015 - $20.00
Great one night stopover. Lots of amenities for a family, including a swim area and playground. Group sites for large gatherings available.
History buffs will enjoy the history behind the park. It was a CCC project with a vision.
Park staff very friendly. - pennyp

I took the camper for the post-winter trip to this park and was pleasantly surprised. There are plenty of spots, with enough space between yourself and your neighbor. All the parking spots were equipped with water and 30amp service. I would caution that not all sites are level, some with some major dips, and uneven surfaces. You should call the office and check which one would work best for your length of trailer. There are plenty of walking trails nearby and a swim lake is also inside the park.
One word of caution, cell phone service is about nil in the park, I found this out and actually moved sites to get better reception (only 2 bars!) to stay in touch with the outside world! There was a problem with the water at my site, and the park superintendent came by and made it right. Very impressed with the service. - mghurle

Got a site. Site was new but was it prepared properly. Buried my motor home to the bed. Cost $200.00 to get pulled out. Had to change sites in the rain. - Wade1946 _-

1 overnight stay. 1 back-in 50 A site left & we got it. Our site was on the outside edge of the park next to single wide mobile homes. Neighbors were friendly and helpful....offered a flashlight for our hooking up at dusk.
This park is in need of lawn/tree maintenance.
Gravel site, level enough with the levelers making it right. FHU. Cable did not work.
Mostly a long term CG/mobile home park. The owners daughter was on duty and was very helpful and accommodating. This was a pleasant experience and we would stay again if in the area.
Very easy access from/to the interstate. - D Curf
Aug 2015 - $24.00
We have been staying here monthly. The park is quiet and convenient. The owner is on site every day and keeps the park clean and neat. It is great for what it is, a place to park while visiting Jonesboro. - Bruce and Janette
Sep 2014 - $20.00
This is a small RV parking lot right in town. No bathhouse or restrooms. Owner is not on site. Call for owner to meet you at the lot. It was good for a quick overnight stay. - GrandmaLee
Oct 2016 - $10.00
Love this park, as it is only 15 minutes from the only grandchild! We stayed here March 2016 for the first time, site 14, on lakeside. Stayed again in September 2016 for 7 days as last stop on a 4 site trip (site 26, top of hill). Stayed here again as 2nd stop on a 2 site trip (site 13 lakeside). We like the people, we like the ability to drop gray water. No sewer hookups but a easy dump station at camp exit. - Damon-Becky
Sep 2013 - $10.00
Rate reflects Senior discount. Most all previous reviews are accurate and reflect our feelings about this campground. We chose this place as convenient and inexpensive. It is also very peaceful, calm, and a wonderful place to stay for several days and explore the area. There are some downsides, which is why I gave it a 9. First, no Wi-Fi or cable. However, we did pick up local stations over the air, so we could keep up with news and weather. Second, the roads in the park are narrow and windy. Not a problem if you are comfortable with your rig, but it is slow going. Third, though they advertise "swimming" at the park, it is Not allowed currently due to too many geese swimming and using the beach. Finally, directions to the park are not clear. Do not take SR-1; this will force you to take the Craighead Forest Rd which is narrow, has tight turns and blind hills to get to the park. All this, the camp host was wonderful, the sites very level and wide, and the bathhouse clean and well maintained. As mentioned, there is free firewood at your campsite and the sites are far enough apart to be comfortable. There are woods all around and wonderful walking trails to enjoy the beauty of the natural surroundings. We would stay here again. - Too-wow
