Not too far off of I-440 in a quiet spot along the Arkansas River. The park is undergoing an upgrade, adding 17 more sites. The original bathroom and shower building in Area F is now closed for eventual renovation. There is a new bathroom and shower building at the far end of the park over a mile away. There are also toilets only in the parking lot next to the boat ramp. Very quiet park with an occasional aircraft from the nearby Little Rock Airport. The park station is staffed except on Wednesdays. On that day, you just go into the park, pick an open site and fill out a reservation envelope and include payment. The park closes and the entry gate is locked at 10 PM, however they give you the code for the gate padlock to enter or exit. Just a couple areas with some low hanging tree branches that you can navigate around. Basically another great COE campground. We camped at Willow Beach COE in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The President Clinton Library is close by in North Little Rock. There is an fun and expansive Farmer's Market on Saturdays in North Little Rock. Take in an Arkansas Travelers Double A baseball game at Dickey-Stevens Stadium right on the River Walk. Plenty to see and do in the area with some great restaurants.

Stayed at Willow Beach one night in a 22 foot travel trailer. The campground is right on the Arkansas River. The sites are large and well maintained. During our stay the restroom/shower was being replaced and you needed to use the facilities at the other end of the park in the picnic area. The whole park is well taken care of and we reserved our site on line and received the American the Beautiful discount. Takes a little time to find off the expressway but well worth it if your looking for a beautiful quiet place to stay. We camped at Willow Beach COE in a Travel Trailer.

It is badly in need of repairs and maintenance. Be sure to check pedestal for correct voltage before setting up. Also many sites have low hanging limbs. We camped at Willow Beach COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Beautiful park, quiet, near a lake, with access to lake from site. Located in a quiet neighborhood. Rustic, lots of birds. Good verizon signal, but no wifi. No shopping nearby, but not that far back to Little Rock. Sites very level and well laid out. We camped at Willow Beach COE in a Travel Trailer.

Arrived at the gate house at 11AM - the posted opening time. Waited a while. Tried the phone number - disconnected. Attendant showed up 15 minutes late. Said "I was here but had other things to do" Told me to find a place and come back. I guess I could have done that earlier as there was no closed gate. Back in site across the road gives the MH a view of the lake from the front window. Many sites have low hanging branches. Could not back in fully. Due to the drought the grass is rather brown. Table has a roof covering it. Burning ban in effect. Mid October yielded a few sites available on the weekend. love the COE sites. We camped at Willow Beach COE in a Motorhome.

Our backin site was up to the water and was very large and well landscaped with lots of grass and very well maintained. The picnic table was covered. The sun set over the water. Several fishing boats passed by. The trees shaded the back of the RV and the front was open so the rooftop dish worked well. Power and water worked well, we didn't use the dump station. The site was paved and level as was the road. Verizon cell and hotspot worked well. Quiet and peaceful, I wish we had stayed longer. We camped at Willow Beach COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This is a true campground feel, not a typical RV Park. The sites are very spacious with shady trees and views of the river - very peaceful. There is no Wi-Fi and we weren't able to get satellite although some sites may allow for it. Hookups are set a bit behind the site, so longer hoses were needed. There is a dump station on the way out of the park. We were here in late October, so the first come, first serve policy was not a problem for us, but it may be in peak season. We would stay here again. We camped at Willow Beach COE in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Stayed here for one night while on our way to Missouri. Nice level sites, all on the water, and plenty of shade. Checked out the bath house and decided not to use it. It didn't appear to have been cleaned in a while. Don't miss the turn off that takes you to the campground! There is a sign on the right side of the road, but we missed it and wound up having to pull our fifth wheel several miles before we found somewhere to turn around. We were there in late September and when packing up to leave the following morning we found little fuzzy white worms about 2" long crawling all over the camper and tires. We actually had some of the critters get inside of our storage area and hitched a ride to Missouri. This is a good park to spend the night passing through, but I don't think I would spend an extended amount of time there. We camped at Willow Beach COE in a Fifth Wheel.

What a great park. All the sites are outstanding with a water view, either of the lake on one side of the road or of the Arkansas river on the other side. Nice level site (#17) with plenty of room between the next site and lots of shade. We spent 4 nights here and loved it. Cannot beat the sunsets over the river. We camped at Willow Beach COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Shore services are 50amp good, sewer is good and water @ about 40psi. AT&T cell is strong. Sprint Aircard is -83dBm and Verizon is -75dBm. No cable. Sites are paved and wide enough to handle Big RV's. The sites are pretty close to level. Plenty of room between sites. Roads to and through the park are paved. Did not use restrooms. Directv Satellite is easy to acess. Discounts are available for Golden Passport. Payment can be made by Credit Card. This is a nice park. Pleanty of room to drive through and open area to walk the dog. This is a really nice park and I will stay here again when in the area. We camped at Willow Beach COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Very quiet and pretty. Was in need of mowing, which is unusual for a COE park. Very easy access and friendly staff. Fishermen would really enjoy this place. Definitely one of the best sites on that side of Little Rock. We camped at Willow Beach COE in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is easily a 10 if it weren't for the restrooms. They are simply not maintained and show it. They are dark and unclean with broken items that look like they've been that way for quite a while. This is our 3rd COE this month that deserves this comment. (You can still take a shower but it's unpleasant.) The park is beautiful with sites nicely spaced, shaded and having water views. The Verizon wireless card works fine. Satellite access is mostly available. We camped at Willow Beach COE in a Motorhome.

A wonderful US Army Corps of Engineers park just outside of North Little Rock. Ideal for seeing Little Rock. Small and quiet park. Lots of armadillos around - our cat wanted to hunt them. Great deal with the senior pass. Just off of I-440. We camped at Willow Beach COE in a Motorhome.
