Gravel and then some more gravel. The trees are scrub and there is no grass. It is decidedly not a destination, but rather a fair place to spend one night. I do not know how Good Sam rated this a 9.5 for appeal. It has all the amenities you would expect for a full 9 on the facility side, but it really has no appeal at all, other than it is handy and quick to get back on the road. Which we are doing. Now. We camped at Sunrise RV Park in a Motorhome.

Right off I30. I think this used to be an old drive in movie. On the southbound side is the freeway. Easy off and on. Long, level, gravel sites. My husband said the bathrooms are very nice. Could hear freeway noise outside, but nothing inside our RV. Great for overnight. No shade at our site, and the road coming into the park had some potholes. Denny's right next door. We will stay here again on our return trip. We camp in a fifth wheel. We camped at Sunrise RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We just needed an overnight stop on our way home and this fit the bill. We were able to do an after hours check-in and were gone before the office opened in the morning. They could use some more lighting in the park as it was a bit difficult to navigate after dark. I did notice that some of the sites had been damaged by RVs hitting the utilities, but our site was fine. It's very close to the Interstate for easy off/on but I didn't really hear any noise once set up. Site required NO leveling. I would stop here again for overnight stay. We camped at Sunrise RV Park in a Motorhome.

The park was poorly maintained. The sites were not labeled well and the other rv's were somewhat difficult to get around. The hookup areas were torn up pretty well from being hit and abused in various ways. Many of the electric pedestals needed to be replaced. The restrooms were clean and well maintained compared to the rest of the park. We camped at Sunrise RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Flying J near entrance road. Easy to refuel on the way into the park. The park was next to the road and road and rail sound could be heard at night. We enjoy this aspect of the park.

This is a well managed, well manicured, well kept park. The bad news is that it was the NOISIEST park we have ever stayed at. The truck traffic is virtually constant but the train traffic replete with train whistles blowing is incredible. We used the A/C for white noise to help drown it our but ear plugs are recommended. Great for a night not so hot for more because of the noise. We camped at Sunrise RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This place is more of a parking lot then a campground. The sites are close together and just long enough for the coach and toad. The whole park is covered with large round stone which is little hard to walk on. There is some hwy. noise and lots of trains, all night long. Easy access to the interstate and a Flying J right at the corner too. We camped at Sunrise RV Park in a Motorhome.

The shelves are bare in the store in the office. We had a level pull-through long enough for the toad and the motor home. We had full hook-ups on the side of the motor home. They have gravel driveways and gravel pads. It looked like lots of new gravel. There is mowed grass around the edge of the pads. They have picnic tables at about every other site. They have screw in sewer connections. Water pressure was good. Electrical is 30 and 50 amps. There is cable TV with 24 channels all with a weak signal at our site, but with an antenna we got 24 clear HD channels. However, on the antenna and over the cable we could not get a CBS channel. Verizon Wireless was 4 out of 5 bars; ATT wireless 3 out of 5 bars. There is WiFi with password required. Response was very good. There is no trash pick up at the site. Our site had some minor problems; someone stole the RF splitter off the cable TV connection, someone stole the light fixture off the utility pedestal, and there was no picnic table We camped at Sunrise RV Park in a Motorhome.

Wifi worked well. Cable TV worked well. Sites were long so we did not have to unhook. Big gravel sites that are level. Management was very pleasant when checking in. There is some traffic noise. We will be back. We camped at Sunrise RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

An OK overnight along I-30. Somewhat noisy given the adjacent interstate, truck stop, and railroad tracks. Loose gravel access roads (somewhat narrow at the entrance, could be difficult for two rigs to pass). Mostly level, loose gravel sites. No shade, but this may change as the trees mature. Power ok, did not use other utilities. No issue with satellite access. Campground wifi had good signal and decent speed. Verizon 3-4 bars and TMobile 1-2 bars, did not try for a connection on either. Did not see any recycling on site. No good road bike opportunities adjacent to campground. We will overnight here again. We camped at Sunrise RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is relatively new but is mostly a worker campground right now. It keeps a few sites open for overnight camping and we had trouble trying to get into the site we were assigned. The overnight guests receive the farthest from the showers sites. If you have to have a place to stay you can go here but I can't recommend it. We camped at Sunrise RV Park in a Motorhome.

The park was big, campers side by side like sardines, grounds were clean, the Horrible noise from the interstate was unbearable so spent a miserable sleepless night in this park. Never stayed in a nosier park. The WIFI work great most of the time. Was assigned one site but someone was already in it, so called the office where I was instructed to take "another one". Pick another RV Park. We camped at Sunrise RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

New owners take over mid Nov.
very open park, would be hot and no shade for lots of years. River stone surface, good. Back in or drive through sites. Bathrooms and laundry excellent. Lovely pool.Freeway noise constant but not a worry. Lots of trains, were noisy at crossing. We resorted to ear plugs and had the best sleep.
Free internet which was constant. Tables, water, sewer, cable, easy satelite, playground. Several permanents with children. No problems. Would come again. We camped at Sunrise RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very noisy park. It's a gravel parking lot. One night was enough. Easy in easy out was the good thing about it and close to fueling station. Our site C14 can't believe it's an actual site, no table nothing. Has Laundromat, very clean looking, $1.50 a load. And a large swimming pool. New owners just took over the day we arrived. This was once a KOA. We camped at Sunrise RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Conveniently located and adjacent to I-30, Sunrise Campground boasts some of the most pristine restroom / shower facilities we have encountered during our time on the road. With plenty of open space, and numerous pull through sites to choose from, Sunrise RV Park's proximity to Texarkana (and surrounding communities) provides an excellent location for a quick 'overnight' stopover - or a lengthy multi-month stay. We easily connected to their Wi-Fi Network which provided a strong connection to the Internet, using laptops and smartphones, the entire duration of our stay. Although the campground sits right next to the Interstate, we did NOT find the traffic noise bothersome in the slightest. Occasionally, we would hear a train whistle in the middle of the night, but again, it wasn't an inconvenience in any way.

Our stay coincided with the new owners having assumed the reigns but one week prior, and as such, we didn't have an opportunity to meet them. However, we certainly enjoyed our stay.

One possible downside (which we didn't experience due to the season) might be the lack of shaded sites in the later summer months. Of course, shade or not, RV-ing in late summer across the southern states comes with Heat and Humidity no matter where one travels.

We will stay here again should we find ourselves in the area. We camped at Sunrise RV Park in a Motorhome.
