This park is a well-kept secret gem on the banks of the White River. We stayed on a Saturday evening and there were only two other campers in the park. There are about 10 sites facing the river and all have very good views. There is a swimming beach, boat ramp and picnic pavilion as well. Verizon service was great, and there were 3 OTA television channels. - DD Jones
Jul 2016 - $28.00
Small but very beautiful state park. There are only 20 rv spots. There is a beach but with the water on White River being low it was almost unusable because of the soft river bottom mud. The sites were large, level and spacious with a view of the river. No OTA channels but sites 8&9 are suitable for satellite dishes. Can't comment on the restrooms or showers because we did not use them. - Fun finders
May 2014 - $24.00
All sites are back-in but well spaced so it was an easy fit. 50 amp service, no water or sewer hookup, as is typical of most state parks. We got the out of state senior rate. My site (10) was near restrooms, which are very clean. (Exception, and this was just funny. First thing in the morning, both bathrooms were strewn with all the torn up paper that had been in the garbage container. I suspect raccoons because they could easily open the screen doors.) The restrooms are elevated to accommodate flood situations so there are two sets of stairs, but there is also a wheelchair ramp. So there were critters about, and lots of birds. We had a gorgeous view of the river as it glided by. We sat out there for an hour or two with drinks as the sun went down. We also went over to their historic courthouse and got a small tour of the very interesting museum. Jacksonport was a Civil War surrender site. I think this is an undiscovered gem and would not hesitate to return. The paddle wheel boat sank a few years ago and they are trying to raise money to restore it. I would give this a 10 if it had WiFI and sewer hookups. - cinharover

We stayed here one night on our way through. This is a nice state campground. We were in the third loop which has full hookups w/50 amp power. We were in site 66. Most sites are shady 66 is sunny. 64, 66, 70, 73, and 77 are the most level looking with good length for a motorhome and parking. - jwindham

Nice shady park. Sights somewhat level. Satellite tv possible through trees. Beautiful lake - southernsky
May 2018 - $31.00
Very nice park. It is divided up in to 3 loops all of which are on the lake. The sites are far apart with plenty of privacy and include a picnic table, hibachi, fire pit, and patio area (gravel). The wifi was good and so were the utilities. The lake is very scenic and the setting is wooded with the underbrush mowed. The roads and sites are easily negotiable and plenty of room to park your 'other' vehicle. This park accommodates big rigs with ease. We would go back without hesitation. - jomark
Sep 2018 - $37.00
The park looks new with level concrete pads and blacktop drive. Wifi was good, they offered cable. The proprietors were very friendly. We'd stay there again. - Billy Strayhorn
Nov 2017 - $40.00
Very friendly owners. Very clean park. Nice place for a one night stop or if in Batesville for medical treatment or activities related to Lyon College. Very quite and secure. 40Mbps free wifi and over 100 channels on cable tv. Sites are satellite friendly. Standard pull through was all we needed for a 40' MH towing a Honda. (about 58 feet). I agree with the comments in the prior review. - johnwadams
Sep 2017 - $20.00
We stayed for 2 months visiting family. This is a new park and it is still growing. Sites were concrete and ashpalt and level. The patio area was more a door area but since we had the end spot, we put our chairs on the grassy area and it was fine. Sites were plenty long enough for our 40 foot home, tow and even our visitor vehicle. Owners are very friendly as is all their staff. Store has good breakfast and homemade sandwiches. A growing store of RV supplies too. We'll stay again. - Lillian OConnell
