This park has a new section that is across Blind Bay road from the older section. We stayed in the newer section. Roads are paved, sites are gravel and huge. Our site was lake front pull in, maybe 30 feet wide and probably 80-90 feet long. The site had a picnic table and fire ring. Very peaceful setting and a nice little community. Good cycling in the area and a great grocery/liquor store just around the corner. We paid 80.00 per night, which is a little steep so I gave it 4/5 for value, but just booked a few nights after Labor Day an the rate dropped to 40.00, which is a great value. We camped at Blind Bay Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Eagle Bay road is great for cycling. Also, the shell station,(grocery store) around the corner was a nice suprise. Great selection of groceries.

Overall Rating:

The RV Resort itself is very nice - paved roads, level concrete pads with grass and gravel patio, and hedges at every site to provide some level of privacy. FHU includes good power (30 and 50 amps), decent water pressure, and lots of TV channels from the cable. The roads are on the narrow side but nothing to worry about. There is a warm pool, showers, and games room.

All in all a good clean sort BUT this resort is mostly occupied by full time owners and only the few that backs along the very busy Balmoral Road which I believe the locals use it as the 1/4 mile drag strip are available for visitors. You are guaranteed to hear at least 1 drag race from vehicles or motorcycles with illegally modified mufflers. When there is no local drag race the road is very busy and you do hear the traffic when sitting on your patio or inside your unit. The other big negative, and the reason why we won't return, is that they charge $5/dog/day. Traveling with 2 dogs makes this an unnecessary expense. I don't see what the cost provides given they do not provide doggie bags or containers throughout the resort to drop off the bags. There is a large fenced in dog area at the far end of the resort but it requires very little maintenance given it is all gravel. We camped at Blind Bay Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed in this lovely campground for a season with our motorhome. Owner is very nice. Some pressure applied to purchase a lot. Lots are very expensive. Beach area kept immaculate. Loved that we were able to rent a boat slip. Caretaker helped us get our boat down to the water which was nice. Lots were absolutely gorgeous. We were in B loop. The fun thing about it was the farmer's market that set up just outside the gates each week. What fun. The water was very warm and clean. The park overall was extremely clean and quiet. Pet friendly yes but I would ask first if you have larger, louder animals. There is now a cute cafe on premise. We had full hookups. There is an adorable library and room for watching movies. The pool is great for the kiddies. The beach is a short walk across the road. Liquor store, post office, and grocery store just down the road which was FANTASTIC!! We loved this place. Would we return? You bet we would. Would we purchase? You bet we would but not until our motorhome sells. Don't want to park a motorhome there permanently. I would give this RV park a 10/10. I don't know the nightly rate because we rented for a season..May until end of August 2011. We camped at Blind Bay Resort in a Motorhome.

Main focus is selling lots. The sites are small-ish. Only 1 pull through developed (more might come in future development. Phone hook-up available via local phone company. Wi-Fi was strong until it went down. Cable also went away at the same time. Beach/boating available across the road. We camped at Blind Bay Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Sorry to say that this campground has now been completely stripped of all it's beautiful trees and any living thing. It has joined the ranks of the other for purchased sites only. (now called blind bay resort). This area is quickly becoming an elite area of million dollar condos and purchased rv sites where the beautiful family campgrounds once were (this one and Cottonwood falling to the developers this year). It's a sad reality, hold on to your happy memories and don't even drive by the place to see what they've done. We camped at Blind Bay Resort in a Travel Trailer.

An update on my last post. There have been new owners take over this campground and have made several changes, none to the good in my opinion. Gone are the weekend pancake breakfasts that were fun. Gone are the childrens rides that they enjoyed along with the wagon rides. Staff has been reduced so no one patrols for noisy partyers. And a fair amount of the big trees that made this park so nice have been taken out to make more spots. The dirt roads are not looked after and everytime a vehicle goes by you get a cloud of dust on you and in your rig. We have been going to this park since our Kids were young and were taking the Grandchildren now so we are very disappointed that our favorite place is not worth going to anymore and we have to look for a new spot As to the washrooms I answered that they were clean but in my opinion certainly not spotless. We will not be returning. We camped at Blind Bay Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice campground. I can't give it a 10 because nothing perfect but this is pretty close in my books. Sites of all sizes lots of shade, very good general store on site with everything in it including a liquor store. Campground has recroom, pool, beach across the road, and little amusment type rides for the litle kids in the evening. Very good and friendly people on staff. If they would improve the washroooms give me 50 channels of cable TV and WIFI I would think that I died and gone to heaven. We camped at Blind Bay Resort in a Motorhome.
