Paid to stay for 2 nights in 15 amp spot, power only as our hired RV couldn't use water in the winter. Drive in and find a permanent resident had parked in our spot (the place is very crowded and the permanent residents park where ever they want) so we had to get the kid running it to ring them as they wouldn't answer the door to move their car, this took 20 min!! Hook up only to have the power trip out and the kid managing the place at the time (family run business) couldn't reset power so offered us a different spot instead which was more expensive. Settle in for the night, all good or so we thought. Next day we went out on a drive and when we stopped I went to get somethings out of the lockable compartment under the rear of the RV only to find that someone during the night had tried to break in and steal our luggage!!! Go back to RV park looking to get a refund and leave as we no longer felt safe there to which I get a reply of " we don't do refunds" so I ask the kid if he could ring his dad as I wanted to talk to the owner of the place to which I get the reply of " we have not had any problem in the park regarding theft until you turned up and as far as I'm concerned you are the problem" . So basically if you stay at this place expect to have your stuff stolen from the permanent residents and don't expect a refund as the management doesn't give two hoots about you, only care about the long term tenants who give them money regularly. We camped at Royalwood Golf & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

If you're thinking about staying here, don't! (Unless you're desperate, like we were waiting for two weeks to get into our new home.) The highway is 100 yards away, so very noisy and ground shook like a bowl of jello, every time a big rig went by. No trees to block the wind, gravel roads, so felt like being in a dust storm most of the time, but not enough wind to keep the flies and mosquitoes away. No picnic tables or fire pits. An out of town friend who knew we were staying there, tried to get a spot in the park for a couple nights, as she was passing through. The Manager told her that the park was full, even though there were three full service spots empty that night and for a few days following, including the spot right beside us. The WiFi worked intermittently for the first day, but was completely down for the next 36 hours. The 'Cable TV' gave us three channels, two of Global BC and one snow. We gave up on that and got our own from the local cable company. There was little to no order in the park when it came to driving speeds, or parking. People (mostly the permanent residents) continually drove through open spots, (which caused more dust for RV'ers trying to enjoy being outside) instead of following the drive ways and parked where ever it suited them, so that vehicles were constantly having to back up and turn around to get out of the park. As a whole, it was a completely disappointing experience. We camped at Royalwood Golf & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a park I would choose not to go back to. Sandwiched in with rigs of various makes, sizes, age and condition. Site was to small and we stuck out into the traffic lanes. Stoped here on way to Alaska, but stayed at a much nicer park just a few miles down the road on the way back. We camped at Royalwood Golf & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The sites were so crowded that we got totally boxed in. No picnic tables, no room to put out awning, no room for your barbeque. WiFi did not work, water shut off because of sewer problem. Sites are very small not meant for big rigs, sites are dirt and gravel. Very close to Highway 1 so very noisy. This is basically a full services rv storage place. Worst rv park that we have ever stayed in in over forty years of camping. Called a "resort" but a far far cry from a resort. We camped at Royalwood Golf & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

First of all there is a $5.00 "reservation charge" to make the reservation on top of the nightly fee. I reserved for two units and had to pay $5.00 for each unit. There is also a $2.00 per day fee for the Wi-Fi. Also there is a charge per day of $5.00 per pet. It was an okay campground. It was rainy and soggy. Our "pull through" was on grass. Washer and dryers are mega expensive. I don't think we would park here again. We camped at Royalwood Golf & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for 2 nights. Beautiful weather and close access to the golf course and driving range. The golf course is nice, challenging and walkable. The driving range has grass tees which I liked. But, the RV park (this is not a resort) is all gravel, the spots are small and it is right next to a major highway so you get road noise all day and night. Lots of mosquitoes! It's a shame they didn't do a better job designing this park as it is only a few years old. Looks like they were just interested in squeezing in as many RV spots as possible. Lots of monthly renters here also. The photos on their website are misleading. The WiFi works, on and off. I would not stay here again, there are better parks in the area. We camped at Royalwood Golf & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

THE GOOD: The park is very new and the main building (which houses the office, laundry room, bathrooms/showers, and a B&B upstairs) is very nice. They keep the bathrooms/showers reasonably clean and all of the machines in the laundry room are very new. They offer free Wi-Fi that has good signal coverage throughout the park and is usually quite fast. The RV park is associated with, and right next door to, the Royalwood Golf course, so if you're a golfer, you can't beat the convenience. The sites are reasonably sized, with bushes planted to try and create some privacy. THE BAD: There's little to no pavement, so the park is mostly a large gravel lot. In the dry summer months, it gets pretty dusty. The park is also right along TransCanada 1, so it can be a little noisy in the sites near the front of the park. Although the sites are reasonably sized, there are areas of the park where there isn't enough space between opposing rows of sites. So maneuvering a large motorhome/5th wheel into some spaces can be a challenge if there are too many other large vehicles in the same area. While they have attempted to create privacy with plantings, they only do it between every other site. So there's SOME privacy on one side of your space, but none on the other. We camped at Royalwood Golf & RV Park in a Motorhome.
