We stayed here for a couple of weeks, got the weekly rate (canadian dollars). Lovely park, spacious sites, lots of foliage, friendly staff. The only improvement they could make would be more trash receptacles. They're few and far between. We camped at Seal Bay RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Plenty of things to do/see in this area. Lots of fruit/veggie stands in the neighborhood, close to "big" shopping in Courtenay, kayaking and fishing nearby. Close to the ferry going to Powell River.

This is such a lovely place. The other RVers are so friendly and make you feel like family. The only negative was that they gal who checked us in did not inform me of the availability of cable TV - which would have been nice since I chose a spot in the forest so our sat dish was useless. Laundry is $3 to wash, $2.50 to dry (60 minutes). We would come again. We camped at Seal Bay RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Loved going out to breakfast at Courtenay's Hen and Hog. (One of the seasonal RVers owns the place.)

The Rate is Canadian dollars. An absolutely delightful park. We watched the trout leaping up to catch the dragonflies. There is an entrance to Seal Bay Nature Park which has wonderful trails. The sites have a bit of foliage separating each site. The entrance road is a bit of a washboard. We will definitely return to stay longer. We camped at Seal Bay RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Price is CAD including tax. Reception was friendly. This is a lovely campground and easily the best of the small number of places we have stayed so far. Sites are reasonably well spaced, with trees in between. Group sites are unshaded and closely spaced. I suppose if you're in a group, that's what you want. It was fairly difficult to position our trailer in our back-in site so that the slide-out & awning were free of interference. The site was not long enough for our 26' trailer plus the tow vehicle. But it was worth the hassle: the campground has lots of green space and even a pond. The Seal Bay Nature Park is adjacent, and access to the trail system is through a gate in the fence. Showers are $1 per 4 min.! There is a nice clubhouse. Wi-fi was good. We camped at Seal Bay RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The adjacent Seal Bay Nature Park features a beautiful, quiet, open forest. Off-leash dogs can use many trails outside fawning and nesting season (Apr. 1 to Jun. 30). Leashes are required on some trails year round, but this is not indicated on the panel that greets you when you enter the park from the campground. Those who want to know can check the park's website.

Overall Rating:

Rate is for a full hookup site. We stayed here a couple of years ago when the RV Park was still under development. The owner put a lot of work into it. Very quiet and somewhat remote location to get away. We stayed in one of the group campsites where privacy is very limited. Lots of deer poo on the grass, so watch your step or clean up (nobody else will do it).
Our main point of criticism is the WiFi that is now included in the rate. Back then is was 2$ per day extra but strong and reliable. Now you can just forget about it. Other than that it is a nice place to stay when exploring the Comox Valley. We camped at Seal Bay RV Park & Campground in a Truck Camper.

This park is out in the country so it is quiet. The sites are big enough and there is a huge group camping area. We had a pull-through site with tress/bushes on each side so it was private. There is a club house but it was being used by an RV club. There is small lake in the middle of the campground. Nice place for a one-night stop. We would stay here again. Seal bay RV Park is second to none! The owners are great hosts. We have stayed here 2 times a year for 2-5 days at a time for the last 7 years. The sites are large and level. The club house is outstanding, as is the fire pits for groups or just your self. A great bbq/picnic site at the club house that also has an indoor large fire place. The lake is stocked with trout that are up to 5 lbs. Seal Bay Park next door has a number of trails to hike. the park is very close to Courtenay and Comox, the hospital, etc. So if you are looking for RV park this the place to book into. We camped at Seal Bay RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Very nice campground in rural Courtenay. The graveled sites are large enough and for the most part are level, with many receiving some shade. There isn't too much privacy between sites, but as the planted trees mature this should provide some screening. Each site has a fire pit. There are clean and modern washroom with a 4 minute shower costing $1. The communal building is nearly complete and usable with a fantastic fire place with a large screen TV. Fly fishing is available for $15. There are stores are a 10 minute drive away. Wi-Fi was excellent and was free. This CG is a very nice, quiet retreat. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Seal Bay RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This is a beutiful park in a quiet area of rural Courtenay. The gravel sites are level and large with plenty of space in between sites. The existing CG has large shade trees. A new part of the CG has 2 locations with about 12 sites centred around a large fire ring (think wagon wheel). These sites are primarily for groups that camp together. It will take a few years for planted trees to mature in this area. There is excellent WIFI for $2 per day. There is also a stocked trout pond where there is fly fishing for a fee. The owner has nearly finished a large communal building complete with a fireplace where groups can gather in the summer or fall. The doors roll up like a garage allowing the space to be almost outdoor. There is a great area beside the CG for nature walks. And CourtenayComox and the Military Base is close. We will definitely stay here again We camped at Seal Bay RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

This is probably one of the best value for money RV Parks on the island. Tucked away in the Seal Bay Park it is a very quiet location with trails to hike or bike right off the campground. Our rate includes taxes and charge for Wi-Fi. I rather pay a few bucks for an excellent WiFi like this than have it "free" in the rate and then find it spotty. There are group sites in the open, no privacy. Other sites are nestled in the woods and have some shrubs between sites. We stayed in the group area and liked it there. Very easy to get in and out (we are 51' combined), level and spacious site with hookups in excellent order. Super quiet at night. Next grocery store is a 10km drive. We will come back for sure. We camped at Seal Bay RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

One of the nicest private RV parks we have ever stayed in, with lots of space between each site. Deer wander freely and frequently through the park and there is direct gate access to Seal Bay Nature Park with a ton of trails and geo-caches. RV storage is available, and there is a huge shelter for groups. Fly fishing is available for a fee (catch and keep). Coin operated showers have poor water pressure, WiFi is an extra charge and cable TV channels are very limited. We camped at Seal Bay RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This is our new favorite RV park on Vancouver Island. Quite remote, adjacent to a large park with nice trails, it's very relaxing and quiet. The rate includes taxes and the extra fee for WiFi ($2/day rsp. $6/week) which was excellent, stable and fast. We stayed in one of the two brand new group campsites, where 12 sites are arranged in a circle (no shade). Compacted gravel made for a very easy to level site, the hookups were well arranged and lots of room to get in and out (back-in). The cable wasn't activated yet but I heard from other campers about the long list of channels available. The other sites are nicely arranged in a forest, each one well apart from the other. There is a fishing pond and a newly built BBQ area with a large shelter nearby. The owner has put a lot of thoughts in the development of the park and is still not done. His goal is to have 190 sites available in a few years. The only downside I can find is the distance (about 10 km) to shopping. We'll be back soon! We camped at Seal Bay RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Watch out for the chickens on the park road. Roads and sites are gravel. Our site was level and surrounded by mature trees and an attractive landscape. Water connection a hassle due to anti-siphon valves on taps. My pressure reducer has a filter screen which gets pushed in by these devices. Office open after 3pm, but had to make several trips (no one in office) before I could register. Cable TV has extensive selection and most channels were clear. Wi-Fi (costs extra)signal was strong. Adjacent to Seal Bay Regional Park which has walking trails. Nice walk around the RV park pond. The owners are currently building a clubhouse. It should be a nice addition to an attractive park. We camped at Seal Bay RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.
