Gravel parking lot type park. Sites were close but adequate. Services were good and plenty of space to get in and out of drive through sites. Would stay again when passing through. We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Campground is large and fairly full. Sites are true pull thru even for big rigs towing. All hookups good. Cable and wifi strong and consistent. Folks running the campground very accommodating. Rained for days so some standing water but plenty of gravel so sites were solid and level. As noted, 2 miles from town so a car is necessary for shopping, dining etc. Big rig sites are at the back away from the highway and quiet. Only negative for some folks would be lack of activities such as playground or dog walk area. Highly recommended. We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Motorhome.

We got in late and only got a site because we had a small 19' travel trailer. Utilities were all there and worked well. The laundromat was $3/wash and $2 to dry. The shower/laundromat building was spotless. You are asked to remove your outdoor shoes before entering. The showers are huge and pay. The sites are cramped especially if the neighbour has a slide out. The camp is a few miles from town but it wasn't an issue. We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Went to Vis Center for walking tour brochure. Take pics there and at the marker post in town. Alaska Hwy museum and film very interesting, good wifi there. Wall murals on buildings very nice. Didn't see art gallery in grain elevator.

Drove out to Kiskataw Bridge the next morning on the way north. You can drive over if your rig is under 10 ton.

Mile 0 Pizza was fantastic; lots of ingredients and filling.

We stayed overnight at this park on our way to Alaska. Easy on then back on the highway. It was OK for overnight. They just opened a new office with updated restrooms and showers. The staff was friendly and helpful. sites were fairly small and close to the neighbors. We were at the west edge of the park and had a view of the junky neighboring property. We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Wifi works as advertised! One of the few places we've stayed at over the last few weeks that has worked properly. Park is fairly basic, sites are close to each other, but adequate. We had a pull through with full hook ups and had no issues. The facilities, bathroom and laundry room, were very clean. It is just outside town, so a bit of a drive to get back in for shopping or gas. No real decent place to walk dogs.
Overall, pretty good place, we'd stay here again. We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

If you're coming from Edmonton, fill up at Costco in Grande Prairie. Cheapest gas and place to shop before heading west on the Alaska Highway.

This park is OK for an overnight. Actually we stayed for two. Staff was friendly. Our site was reasonably level. Utilities worked well. Good stable power. Water pressure was fine. Sewer port clean and accessible. WiFi worked quite well. Not much of a view. There were a lot of campers packed into a small area. At least one big rig caravan was there while we were. Our space was at the west end of the park where access to the side road was easy. We would overnight here again. We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Rough ground in park. Dusty when dry muddy when wet. Not all sites are level. Laundry is not free. Showers are not free. Felt like we were being nickeled and dimed. Highway right next to park is noisy. Camp sites are very narrow. Wifi is pretty much useless to nonexistent. There are better RV parks close by. I would probably not return to this campground unless I could not find an alternative. We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Gravel pull thru 30/50 amp F/H/U sites. Mostly a gravel parking lot on top of a hill. This made it extremely windy. Thought it might just be that week or time of year, but people said just a windy part of Canada. Most sites are level. Several "permanents" mostly on the perimeter. Cable and wifi good. There are no areas to walk pets other than on the gravel. About 2 miles from town. We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice park. Sites are fairly large and level. Roads are maintained well and holes are filled when it rains. Convenient to Dawson Creek and only an hour from Chetwynd and Tumbler Ridge. Hook ups worked well. Staff is very friendly and helpful. My only issue with the park was their wifi but I'm getting used to this being an issue in Canada. When the wifi was working it worked OK but it seemed to go down every night and not come back up until sometime the next day after the office opened at 9:00. We stayed here in a motor home but would probably try someplace else if I were to go back to Dawson Creek only due to the wifi issue. We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a great campground. Sites are level and spacious. There is no shade, however. The bathrooms are immaculate--they require that you remove outside shoes before going into the bathhouse/laundry facility. Bathrooms/showers are individual rooms with ceramic tile and new fixtures--the cleanest I have ever seen in a campground. While we were there it rained all day, but the campground sheds water very well and there was no standing water. On our way out of town the next day, we passed by another campground and it had a lot of standing water. We will always stay at Northern Light when in Dawson Creek. We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Sits on hilltop and is open so no problem with mosquitoes. Easy in and out of park and plenty of room to maneuver to site. Gravel/rock site was level and clean. Laundry room was clean and machines worked good. Staff was friendly and helpful and really try to keep things clean. We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park near town with level gravel sites and good utilities. The park is easy to get to and easy to get around in. The dirt roads can get muddy when it rains. The Wi-Fi worked well when it was up but would drop out at times. Most sites had a table but ours didn't. We would stay here again. We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Check out Bear Mountain Wind Farm to get a close up look at the giant wind turbines. The Alaska Highway museum is well done and watch the 45 minutes PBS documentary about the highway. The host at the museum will be more than happy to take your picture at the zero milepost in the middle of the street. If you are coming here from Alberta, fill up in Alberta because the taxes are a lot higher in BC.

We stayed two nights to start our 60 day caravan to Alaska. There were three separate caravans in the park while we were there - the park was quite full. We had a pull thru site next to the office that was very narrow but workable. Roads and sites are gravel with a little grass between. The park is on a hill and did not have any bugs. Spotless showers ($1/3minutes) and laundry ($3 wash, $2 dryer). The young couple that run this park are super nice and friendly. We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Easy access off Hwy. 97 South. Quiet, country setting; yet close to Dawson Creek and Kiskatinaw Bridge. Gravel roads and fairly level gravel sites. No shade and very little grass. No picnic table or fire ring. Some permanent residents with junk on their sites, otherwise park is clean. Friendly, helpful Owners, and good working WiFi. We would stay here again. First time RVer. Stayed one night. Nice, level, gravel pull through. Not particularly attractive, with some unkempt full time residents close by. Owners were great. Sites reasonably separated. And has been stated, the laundry/shower area is immaculate. WIFI was intermittent, but when it worked was good enough for Facetime. Definitely would stay again.
