This is a very nice park. Sites are fairly large and level. Roads are maintained well and holes are filled when it rains. Convenient to Dawson Creek and only an hour from Chetwynd and Tumbler Ridge. Hook ups worked well. Staff is very friendly and helpful. My only issue with the park was their wifi but I'm getting used to this being an issue in Canada. When the wifi was working it worked OK but it seemed to go down every night and not come back up until sometime the next day after the office opened at 9:00. We stayed here in a motor home but would probably try someplace else if I were to go back to Dawson Creek only due to the wifi issue. We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We enjoyed visiting Chetwynd and especially the Dinosaur Museum in Tumbler Ridge. The Dinosaur Museum is wonderful and the people are very friendly and willing to explain the museum to you.

This is a great campground. Sites are level and spacious. There is no shade, however. The bathrooms are immaculate--they require that you remove outside shoes before going into the bathhouse/laundry facility. Bathrooms/showers are individual rooms with ceramic tile and new fixtures--the cleanest I have ever seen in a campground. While we were there it rained all day, but the campground sheds water very well and there was no standing water. On our way out of town the next day, we passed by another campground and it had a lot of standing water. We will always stay at Northern Light when in Dawson Creek. We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Sits on hilltop and is open so no problem with mosquitoes. Easy in and out of park and plenty of room to maneuver to site. Gravel/rock site was level and clean. Laundry room was clean and machines worked good. Staff was friendly and helpful and really try to keep things clean. We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park near town with level gravel sites and good utilities. The park is easy to get to and easy to get around in. The dirt roads can get muddy when it rains. The Wi-Fi worked well when it was up but would drop out at times. Most sites had a table but ours didn't. We would stay here again. We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Check out Bear Mountain Wind Farm to get a close up look at the giant wind turbines. The Alaska Highway museum is well done and watch the 45 minutes PBS documentary about the highway. The host at the museum will be more than happy to take your picture at the zero milepost in the middle of the street. If you are coming here from Alberta, fill up in Alberta because the taxes are a lot higher in BC.

Easy access off Hwy. 97 South. Quiet, country setting; yet close to Dawson Creek and Kiskatinaw Bridge. Gravel roads and fairly level gravel sites. No shade and very little grass. No picnic table or fire ring. Some permanent residents with junk on their sites, otherwise park is clean. Friendly, helpful Owners, and good working WiFi. We would stay here again. We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

First time RVer. Stayed one night. Nice, level, gravel pull through. Not particularly attractive, with some unkempt full time residents close by. Owners were great. Sites reasonably separated. And has been stated, the laundry/shower area is immaculate. WIFI was intermittent, but when it worked was good enough for Facetime. Definitely would stay again. We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Motorhome.

Not a bad park. Good electric 50 amp and water pressure good. Cable tv is good just not many channels. The restrooms are new and look like my house. Best I've seen. Close to everything around here. The sites are pretty level. The only negative is it is all gravel and very very dusty. Nothing they can do about it. I would stay again if in the area. We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Go see the old wooden bridge north of town and the RR bridge south of town.

I checked in with a reservation. After paying I asked if that was the Good Sam rate. The attendant stated no, and she took no action to change my reservation. The bathrooms/showers were very clean. The showers were coin operated, something I had not seen in many years. It was quite windy at this location. I doubt if I will stop here again. We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Good stop at the beginning of the Alaska Hwy. Everything worked as advertised although the 2 days were we here they were having Wi-Fi issues. It worked but at times was painfully slow. They had a technician working on it for more than a day. Friendly, helpful current owners, easy in and out of pull-through sites. Rate reflects Good Sam discount. We would return in the future. We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Motorhome.

A very nice park, probably the nicest one in the area; the owners are working very hard to keep it well maintained and managed. Problems with the WiFi were being corrected; owner mentioned they might have to have a new system installed. Gravel lot can be quite muddy when it rains; be prepared to take your shoes off to enter restrooms and laundry area. Park is frequently used by caravan groups and there are a few full-time workers living here. We will stay here again. We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Motorhome.

Campground has gravel roads and sites with a bit of grass (in the summer). WiFi works moderately well. Laundry and shower facilities were excellent. The parks fills quickly during tourist season. We were part of a group of 23 motorhomes gathering for a tour. There was another group there as well. It is a great place from which to start a tour of the Alaskan highway. We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Motorhome.

There is a sign on the door to the laundry/shower/restroom building that says "no street shoes allowed beyond this point". When I entered I totally understood why. These are the nicest glass enclosed shower stalls I have ever seen in a campground. The laundry room was also immaculate and their prices are very reasonable on washers and dryers. Check-in staff was very friendly and helpful. Spots are large, most are pull through, but they are gravel. Water, elec, and sewer hookups are located for easy access and power was 120vAC with no fluctuations during our two day stay. Wi-Fi was strong and very fast. The young couple that own this park now are working hard to add improvements. Trees have been planted, landscaping is in progress and grass is planned. We will stay here every time we are in Dawson Creek. We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice park. The folks, who run the place, took very good care of us, and pointed out all the tourist information for the area. It is well located and very quiet. We definitely would stay here again We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here 2 nights in the middle of winter. Didn't get to meet anybody because all of our reservation / transactions were done by phone. Super friendly and helpful folks. Site was cleared of snow and water, power, everything working. WiFi was strong and super fast. The best place we have stayed this winter. We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Motorhome.
