Some grass sites, mostly gravel. Nice owner. No shade. Large sites. Very clean laundry and showers. We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Motorhome.

Had a flat, level, gravel, pull through site. I had to park next to the trailer to avoid blocking the road in front or back of trailer. AT&T worked well. WI-FI was OK. Our area had no trees. It rained the night before, but I did to experience the mud the previous reviewers talked about. The office staff and the staff member who led me to my sight were very friendly. We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed here on an RV tour so not real sure the price. Sites were fairly close but larger than most of the RV parks in Canada. Had a no washing policy that they enforced, cleaning the windshield is OK but no water on the ground. We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed only one night on the way to Alaska. Typical Alcan RV park - big gravel parking lot. Spacing wasn't too bad. Staff was friendly. Was fine for a one night stopover. A few miles from the Mile Zero monument but an easy drive there. We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Motorhome.

The site was nothing spectacular! Ours was dirt. There was a pile of picnic tables so I guess if you want one you get it your self. The Internet went out the night before we left and never came back on. We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Motorhome.

Easy to get into. Great laundry room. Change machine for Canadian $5, $10, $20. Was $3, dry $2. Just a gravel lot with a little grass between, but had good hookups and our Dish Network satellite worked a little. There was cable too. We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Motorhome.

We have stayed in this park in the past. Most of the big rigs are above the office in a tiered gravel lot, but there is enough room for big rigs. Wifi was okay and view was nice. We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Although this park is outside of town, it has the amenities you want to stay in touch with the world. It's only a quick trip into Dawson Creek and very easy in and out for parking and moving.

This was rated one of the best in Dawson Creek. When we arrived we said if this was the best we would hate to see the others. But, the others were definitely not as nice! It had been raining so there was a lot of mud. The sites are gravel and a lot of dirt and mud, but the showers and laundry room areas were immaculate! I think they made the best of the wet conditions. Very nice people, hookups were good. If you're in Dawson Creek, I think this is your best bet. We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Motorhome.

The Alaska Highway Museum was very interesting and I think the best stop we made. The Safeway was the best store we have been in since we left the US. The visitors center was interesting and helpful as was the grainery art gallery.

Tips for other Campers:

When taking your required photo downtown, stop at the Alcan Highway Museum on the corner and watch the one hour film on the construction of the highway. Will make you appreciate the next 1500 miles.

When driving through Canada don't pass up the Provencial Parks if you can boondock a nite or two. There are a number of RV parks in Dawson Creek and from the road they all look about the same.

It was pouring down rain the night we were there. We had to do laundry after dry docking several days. We had to take our shoes off before we could enter the shower/bathroom/laundry areas. Therefore their areas were nice and clean. Thank you! BUT, it was pure mud throughout the entire campground. So we were forced to track-in mud into our travel trailer! If they would simply put down a lot more gravel it would sure help us all out when it is raining! We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We checked in just before the office closed. After setting up, I discovered we had no TV. The office was closed and would not open until 10 am the next day. Another camper was told that when he inquired as to no TV that he was told that there was some dispute with the carrier, and service was suspended. We were not told there was no TV on registering. We left well before 10 am the next day, so I emailed the owners, explaining that I felt we should have been told there was no TV, as we would have stayed elsewhere. They did not respond. Otherwise, the park was very nice, and the restrooms/showers were immaculately clean. We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Motorhome.

Campground is large and fairly full. Sites are true pull thru even for big rigs towing. All hookups good. Cable and wifi strong and consistent. Folks running the campground very accommodating. Rained for days so some standing water but plenty of gravel so sites were solid and level. As noted, 2 miles from town so a car is necessary for shopping, dining etc. Big rig sites are at the back away from the highway and quiet. Only negative for some folks would be lack of activities such as playground or dog walk area. Highly recommended. We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Motorhome.

We got in late and only got a site because we had a small 19' travel trailer. Utilities were all there and worked well. The laundromat was $3/wash and $2 to dry. The shower/laundromat building was spotless. You are asked to remove your outdoor shoes before entering. The showers are huge and pay. The sites are cramped especially if the neighbour has a slide out. The camp is a few miles from town but it wasn't an issue. We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Went to Vis Center for walking tour brochure. Take pics there and at the marker post in town. Alaska Hwy museum and film very interesting, good wifi there. Wall murals on buildings very nice. Didn't see art gallery in grain elevator.

Drove out to Kiskataw Bridge the next morning on the way north. You can drive over if your rig is under 10 ton.

Mile 0 Pizza was fantastic; lots of ingredients and filling.
