The staff were friendly and gave us a shaded pull-in site by the river.

The Wi-Fi didn't work at our site. Finally got the drain cover off after much struggle. Pipe was broken but we did get the tanks drained. The park rules indicated to boil the water, but host said if was an old form and not necessary. The interior roads were dusty and our site was 100 ft from the highway so too noisy to sit outside.

Won't stay there again. We camped at Riviera RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

This campground was AMAZING! It just recently came under new management and everyone is so nice and friendly around the office! The new management team made sure we had a very pleasant time, and is still working very hard to improve many aspects of the campground to fit 2015 standards. We were supposed to only stay for the weekend, but loved it so much we stayed for a week. We came in July which is wonderful with the warm Kettle River right next to our campsite and the beautiful sandy beaches. There are about 3 different beaches and great fishing. We went tubing down the river which was very enjoyable as a family. You can rent tubes from the office and games like bocce, horseshoes, etc. and play in the large front field. We bought ice cream and other treats that were in the office and had a great campfire/wiener roast at night with some friends we met who were tenting in the campsite next to us. The washrooms are all brand new, and the laundromat/library was great to have. While I waited for my wash to be done, I got to read some Ernest Hemingway! My favourite! My 2 youngest loved the large playground and hated to have to leave it when it was time to depart, and my 17 year-old loved playing basketball. The office provided him with a basketball and with the hoop that's already set-up, he was out there everyday practicing. My husband and I especially loved the peace we found here. There is hardly any traffic on the highway, especially at night, and so we set up our hammock in the shade and enjoyed the sounds of the birds and the river. We miss this place already! We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Riviera for making our time in the Kootenays so special! We look forward to returning! We camped at Riviera RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Park website is outdated and does not reflect current conditions. Photos are misleading, and park is currently somewhat run down. Sites are very close together and located roughly 50' from a major highway. Traffic noise and dust can be irritating. River sites are along a high bank, without railing, which is dangerous for small children and pets. The playground is in very poor condition and slightly hazardous. Access to the "sandy beach" is awkward. The majority of the park is filled with 'full timers' leaving a narrow strip, along the highway for campers. The hosts are very pleasant, and price is good for an overnight stay. We camped at Riviera RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $30.00

Older style campground with only about 15 feet between units, and only a few pull through sites. This is not a good place for big rigs but fine for us in a 23 foot trailer. The highway forms one boundary and can be noisy although the owners have shielded the site a bit with trees. The other parallel boundary is formed by the Kettle River which is clean, shallow ( 4-5 feet) and WARM! The kids we saw were having lots of fun digging in the sandy beach and playing in the water. The location is excellent: close to Grand Forks a nice historic town that has not been overrun with box stores, fast food outlets and strip malls, although there are some. The downtown is nice to stroll through and can easily be reached from the campground by bicycle. They have wireless here but we can`t access it: signal is too weak 50 feet from the antenna! The folks that run it are friendly helpful and pleasant. We would stay here again. We camped at Riviera RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

A nice little park between the highway (not too noisy) and the river (too high to swim in now, but pretty). Lots of extended-stay people, but everyone was nice and things are kept-up. Showers are CA$1, but lots of hot water. Not much within walking distance. WiFi only worked next to the office. We camped at Riviera RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Very friendly owners. Shade sites along the river bank. Showers $1. Very close to the highway so traffic noise is quite evident. We camped at Riviera RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.
