This campground and RV park is near the town of Hope, British Columbia. It is in a lovely natural setting with mature trees and a dramatic mountain backdrop. Some of the facilities could use some work. The driveways are asphalt but portions are in poor condition with drainage problems. We were mobbed by mosquitos anytime we stepped outside our RV. We had a back-in site with a gravel surface that was wider than average. We had 30amp service with cable and WiFi. The WiFi has a data limitation of 250MB per day and only one device allowed. There was a picnic table and fire pit included. We paid $32 per night. We camped at Wild Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This campground has a center row of pull-throughs in the front half of the park, and back-ins along the periphery extending to the rear of the park. We stayed in one of the pull-throughs, site 10, which was reasonably spacious and well-shaded. The park is a few miles west of Hope, requiring a short drive to get to any other services. Site was 2.4 degrees off-level side-to-side. Wifi was biggest negative... only one device per site may access it at a time, with an unwieldy log-on and log-off process was that sometimes didn't appear to work. We camped at Wild Rose RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Othello Tunnels, which unfortunately didn't open until a few days after our stay, are old train tunnels linked by a pleasant hiking trail of a few km, just a few minutes outside Hope. Hell's Gate is a tram that runs down to the Fraser River, and is a 30-minute drive from Hope. Might be worthwhile if you haven't ridden a tram on a mountain before... otherwise it looked like a tourist trap and we didn't take the ride.

Was only overnight stop. Park is clean and all hook ups worked great. They have a dog park. Sites were large with tables and hook up were in a good spot. The only thing bad about this park is that it is very tight on roads. We have a 40 ft Rv pulling a pick up and we had to get into tree branches coming in and making the turn to get out of the park. Check in was easy and lady was very helpful and friendly. Cable was great with lots of channels. We camped at Wild Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

Check-in was friendly. The camp stretches between the highway and the railway line. Our site was fairly far from the highway and there was not much noise. There is considerably more in the closer sites. There was some train noise, but we didn't find it a problem (possibly because our home town has a train passing through in the middle of the night). Some sites are more private than the one we had (but these may be for seasonal residents?). There is a small dog-walk loop. The washrooms and showers are old but functional. We stopped here overnight and might do the same if there were no better options. We camped at Wild Rose RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The road outside the campground (not the highway) is fairly quiet and can be used for dog walking. A couple of deserted gas stations (key-card access for trucks), located just to the west, have large grounds where it's safe to let a dog run around. (I noticed someone dry-camping in one of them.)

50 amp FHU with cable. Shady spots. Easy location to Hope. However this campground is really getting run down. It could be a nice place if they put some effort into landscaping. There are also a lot of permanent residents and their trailers are falling apart. That adds to the run down feel. They have wifi but it's barely usable. If you need to get an email or 2 out, it'll do but that's about it. The bathrooms were clean and the showers looked ok although I did not use them. Both ATT and T-Mobile were strong and stable although ATT came in and out of 4g. Using the booster, I was able to maintain 4g with speeds over 10mbps d/l. This park would also be hard to navigate for a big rig. If you do stay here, I would recommend staying in the back part as those sites actually have some privacy and are a little nicer. We camped at Wild Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

Check in was quick and easy. For an overnight stay all they needed was name, home town, rigs license number and a signature. Our Good Sam membership had just expired (clerk just reminded me to re-up) and we were done. Cable TV (without a box) and Wifi included. Cable worked well. A good selection of channels. Wifi sucked so bad. Logged on to check e-mail and that was painful. Sites are gravel base. Services placed well. Check in clerk said the pull through sites are are 65 feet. I think they are 10 feet shy but still plenty of room for us. There is a picnic table at all sites but no fire pit for the pull throughs. I checked out the restrooms and they were very clean. Free showers. There is a doggie walk with waste can for droppings. A small play ground with older equipment but in good condition. Many new cedar trees have been recently planted (tags are still showing) and new gravel added to many of the sites. Bell and Telus cell services worked very well. There are no restaurants or stores that are in walking distance. There is a small store at the office. Trains were heard in the distance and if you are in the far back, road noise might be an issue. There are a few permanents and a few of them could use a good power washing but all in all a very neat, tidy well looked after park. We paid $45.36 Cdn inc tax after GS discount. Had Wifi worked a lot better I would say that we recieved good value for our dollar. Wifi is a fail though so I think we paid a little too much. We will still return though. We camped at Wild Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

We loved this park. The sites are large enough to handle our rig. The lower branches of the many beautiful trees have been thoughtfully trimmed to maintain the beauty while allowing trailers to maneuvre with the park. The laundry room was spotless. We camped at Wild Rose RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sites are level. They are close to one another but separated by a 6-foot cedar hedge. Hookups are old but sturdy. Wifi is complimentary but I was never able to connect. Staff is very friendly. There is a small playground for children. Older park, but still nice. We would recommend and we did stay again on our way back home. We camped at Wild Rose RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nice level sites - ours was pretty much all grass pull-thru, others gravel. Some sites are separated by a few hedge-type bushes. Most sites have some shade during the day.

Staff was excellent.

Facilities were good. Laundry had 2 washers, 2 dryers.

We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Wild Rose RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Check out Blue Moose cafe in Hope and definitely don't miss Owl St cafe on the way there (Hope-Flood Rd).

Othello Tunnels on old Kettle Valley rail line are definitely worth the effort!

This is a nice park with level sites. Most have a lot of space between and hedges for privacy. It looks like most sites have some shade at some time during the day.

The utilities did function but were old. The sewer was actually inside the dog fence of the neighbor's site. The site was not level. We were stuck between two rather trashy permanent residents when there were other probably better spots available. It appears that in the back of the park there may be better sites but we don't know for sure. We would not stay here again. We camped at Wild Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

This RV park is a few miles across the border from the Sumas, WA border crossing. This park was relatively easy to find and was a decent park. Facilities were older, but well maintained. The staff was friendly and gave us directions to a desirable restaurant (for breakfast the next morning). Our Sprinter-based van conversion RV had no difficulties getting in or out of the back-in space we were assigned. But there were also pull-through sites where big rigs should have little difficulties. I'd stay here again. After dark there was little road noise. Frequent trains could be heard, but the town appeared to be in a "bowl-shaped" valley, and the trains were in idle as they passed through town (in both directions). So, the trains were not particularly annoying. We camped at Wild Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice, extremely large back in spots, a little tighter for the pull thru. Restroom clean and clean. Excellent. Staff was friendly, gave good instructions and answered all questions. Quiet a few seasonal campers, but park is clean and well maintained. Still can not get over how big the spot was. Grass and lots of it, easy to walk to the puppy dog. Wifi and cable, free showers, which for the price should be included. Not disappointed and would stay here again. We camped at Wild Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

On our way to Alaska, wanted a park prior to Hope which fit the bill. Prior reviews sold us and not disappointed. Short hop to Hope, then off to Alaska until we get to Williams Lake. Plan a short stop at Hell's Gate Canyon.

This park is definitely not big rig friendly but doable. The turning radius is extremely tight and there are large trees. We had no satellite service because of the trees. There are seasonal people who have alot of "stuff" laying around and some old rigs. Good 50 amps. They have some big private sites in the back that are not used - it is a shame. Busy place; I suggest reservations if you are larger than 25'. We did not use any of their facilities. We camped at Wild Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.
