This was such a beautiful park. Only about 30 sites but several nice large pull thru's. The sites are gravel with beautiful manicures grass between the sites. The sites are all tiered and they have the most beautiful view of the lake below and towering mountains. I must say this was the nicest park we stayed in on our trip to Alaska. There is nothing in Iskut so it is a place to just relax and enjoy the outdoors. I would have rated it a 10 but you only get 100 mg of internet which is very slow and 30amp service. That being said you will not be disappointed. If coming from the North and you have a big rig slow down when you get close and take a WIDE turn cause it is about a 270 degree turn. We actually had to unhook before we made the turn cause I did not swing wide. I am a 45' rig pulling a truck. Also there is no sewer but the dump is very convenient when pulling out. We camped at Mountain Shadow RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

I had a flat, level gravel, pull through site with grass on both sides of my site. There was a picnic table. My site had 30 amp service and water. The water pressure was only 20 psi. There is a beautiful view of the mountains and a nice trail that goes down to the lake. There is no cell phone. WI-FI is limited to 100 mg per device. The WI-FI was fast and consistent. There is a free dump station available when leaving. A very nice park; definitely big rig friendly. We camped at Mountain Shadow RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We made an unexpected change in our route to travel Hwy 37 S and were so glad we did when we found Mountain Shadow RV Park! The view alone is well worth the stay! The sunrise on the mountains was an awesome site! We were able to easily access our site pulling our 38ft 5th wheel. The site was long enough to allow us to stay connected. Quiet, relaxing, serene location. We camped at Mountain Shadow RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The grounds of this private campground are immaculately maintained. The 10 pull-through sites are terraced affording views of the mountains. There are also a number of shorter back-in sites with mountain views. Another area of the campground that I did not see apparently is in a wooded area and is for shorted RV's, and tents. There are no laundry facilities. As is the case along the entire length of the Cassier Hwy (#37), there is no cellphone service, however there is an outdoor pay phone near the office. There is free limited WiFi (100Mb per deice, per day). There is a path to a lake where my wife caught a rainbow trout, so there is fishing. As evidenced by the number of RV's using levelling blocks, it was not just our site that was not level from side-to-side. Also the strip of grass separating the sites is sloped, so there is little utility for the picnic table. The dump station is not level, so it is not possible to completely empty ones tanks. Credit cards are accepted, but a $3 discount is offered for cash payment. We camped at Mountain Shadow RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Hwy 37 is now paved or chipsealed the entire length. For the most part there are NO shoulders, so watch out for the semi's that like to hug the centre line - it can be a white knuckle experience.

What a gorgeous view from this campground which has immaculate kept grounds. Plenty of grass for the dogs and a nice mowed walkway down to a pond. The chance of seeing moose is very good, and tracks for sure. Don't expect anything for wifi. They limit you to 100 mb and if you go over, the system cuts you off. It's a great place for an overnight. We camped at Mountain Shadow RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a nice park in a beautiful setting. It's in an open meadow overlooking the upper end of a lake with mountains in the background. The walk down to the lake and path along the lake make for a nice hike. They only offer 30 amp, but that worked just fine. Unfortunately, no sewer. The gravel road into the campground is long (about 1/3 mile) but our 42' 5th wheel did just fine. The sites are gravel but nice and big with grass between. As others have stated, the grassy area is quite sloped so we had to move our picnic table onto the gravel, but again that wasn't a problem since the site was long enough. If you have a big rig we'd recommend staying away from pull-through site 5 as there is a large pole to avoid when pulling in. We have satellite and that worked fine in our site (and probably in all of the pull-throughs). They offer free wifi which worked fine most of the time. The owners live on-site and are upgrading their system to hopefully improve the service. This is a well maintained park. If you're looking for peace and quiet this is the place; we'll be back on our way south from Alaska. We camped at Mountain Shadow RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a truly lovely RV park just off of the Cassiar Highway. It's down a fairly steep gravel road about a half-mile off the highway. The gravel road is plenty manageable though, plus it gives the park plenty of separation from the highway, so there's no noise. The setting is spectacular - a view of the lake and beautiful mountains in the background. There are few RV parks with such an incredible view. The park is exceptionally well maintained, has 30 amp power and water at the site, and has a dump station. We had a long, gravel pull-through that was plenty long for our 43 foot coach and SUV. The adjoining lake has great fishing for rainbow trout - the three of us caught about 15 in an hour from the bank. In short, this is an idyllic spot that is very high on our list of best places we've stayed. We camped at Mountain Shadow RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful park with many trees and trails to walk. It reminded us of our beautiful American national parks, but with full hook ups! Lots are spacious offering some shade. Site is dirt with a fire ring and picnic table. We camped at Mountain Shadow RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Mountain Shadow, owner at Mountain Shadow RV Park and Campground responded to this review

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm afraid you have the wrong RV Park thought. We don't have full hoops or many trees. We do have a trail out to the lake.
Our sites are all on gravel, none are on dirt. You mentioned site 15, our site 15 is a back in site in our RV Park and we don't have fire rings in the RV Park, only our campground. Would appreciate it if you could delete this review.

Probably the nicest setting of any RV park we have ever been in. Nestled in a little valley by a lake filled with bright fall colors. This small park is very clean, well laid out, spacious and in good repair. Very big rig friendly. Services are very basic. Water/30A. WiFi non existant. Very quiet and relaxing place. Wish we could have stayed longer. We camped at Mountain Shadow RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Even with overcast, this is "Mountain Shadows!" Place is immaculate - level sites, golf-course grass between sites - mountains, lake, 200+ acres, if you want to hike. Owner/operators are most friendly and hospitable. Not much in the area, but this is a nice quiet place to relax and enjoy being AWAY from it all. Well worth the price - over-nite, or for an extended stay. We camped at Mountain Shadow RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

This was a pleasant port after a unfortunate encounter with a park in Dease Lake about 50 miles north. The entrance road is long and somewhat steep but manageable. The park is immaculate and the spaces mostly gravel and reasonably level with a lot of grass in between. Magnificent views and a lake about 1/2 mile down a path but visible from the park. The proprietors were very friendly and glad to see us. We had no reservation but there was one space left that would accommodate our rig, and the folks were very helpful getting us situated. One of the nicest places we stayed on our 3 week trip up the Alaska Highway. We camped at Mountain Shadow RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Wow! What a lovely spot! This little park boasts one of the prettiest views we've seen. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Our gravel site was perfectly level and very spacious. Power and water were quite good. However, like another reviewer, I had such difficulty with the "Free WiFi at the site" that I quickly gave it up. Ah well... We enjoyed our overnight here. I would not hesitate to stay longer in the future. We camped at Mountain Shadow RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Mountain Shadow, owner at Mountain Shadow RV Park and Campground responded to this review

Thank you for your review of our RV Park. We understand that the WiFi is sporadic. We try and tell everyone about it and we also have a page on our website describing the type of internet we have. Satellite internet is very unreliable, that it one reason we do not charge for it. We have switched to a new type of router where we are able to limit the data and time for each user, hopefully, this will help!
Thank you again and glad you enjoyed your stay!
