Have stayed here once before a number of years ago. Will try to plan our trips to not have to stay here again. Cramped spots, just barely enough room for one slide out. Camped in a pull-in and back out site. Pull through sites all full. Level site, 30 amps, cable tv good. Highway noise level high and noise from train as well. WIFI very slow. Unable to open most mail. Picnic table 3 inches from slide on one side and the other side was at the property line for the adjacent site. Unusable. It was necessary to unhook to park. We camped at Kamloops RV Park in a Motorhome.

Had a gravel, pull through spot. It took one 2" board to level side to side. There were trees to the east of the site a picnic table and cable TV. There was pretty constant noise from Highway 1. AT&T worked well. The WI-FI was excellent. A good spot for a one or two night stay. We camped at Kamloops RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a wildlife park right next to the RV Park. The host was able to recommend a fuel station where I could fuel up with my trailer attached so I would not have to disconnect my tow vehicle. The host also recommended the Tumbleweed Neighborhood Pub. The food and beer were excellent.

Kamloops RV Park was somewhat rough-hewed, though perhaps well-suited to its locale on the western slopes: gravel instead of pavement, and sparse grass instead of lush lawns. The lanes and sites were reasonably wide, and I was able to get a pull-through site for the first time. Some of the current residents that I talked to were refugees from the wildfires to the west, the ones that kept the sky dingy with haze. As a transient passing through on my way east, the park was quite satisfactory, and I would return under similar conditions. I think I would look elsewhere, for a park a little more manicured, if I wished to take up long-term residency. We camped at Kamloops RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Level gravel sites with small grass area and picnic table, a bit close together though. Good for an overnight or two, wildlife park next door. We camped at Kamloops RV Park in a Motorhome.

Park was very clean and the owner met us and led us to our spot. After setting up we went and paid. It was quiet and the view was incredible. Nightly fee is in Canadian money. We camped at Kamloops RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sites are fairly tight, with our neighbor's sewer just outside our door. We had to back out of our pull-through site, due to a tree. WiFi was OK, and there's cable at every site. We camped at Kamloops RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The park is next to the BC Wildlife Park (they share the same driveway). And the park has a discount coupon for the Wildlife Park.

Park is pretty much as described by others. You do get some highway noise during the day and the trains are a little more noticeable at night. Camped near the nonexistent playground (old worn out swing set). WiFi didn't work at our site at all. Cable was OK. Due to trees our satellite didn't work, but it would work at the sites by the office. Laundry was OK, but with two washers and two dryers and a bunch of full timers it was hard to find a time when they weren't in use. This campground is OK for an overnight or two, but I wouldn't want to spend a week or two here. We camped at Kamloops RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

If you need fuel, check the Super Save gas station about 1 km to the east of the park. They were 14 cents/liter of Diesel cheaper than the Flying J just down the road to the west.

We only stayed over night. They had two sites left. The site was long enough so we didn't have to disconnect. The site seemed level but there was snow on the ground so hard to say for sure. The site had been plowed but not very wide. We had 50 amp service that worked well. The water was winter water. Sewage was even dug out of the snow so we could find it. WiFi didn't work. Showered are new, clean and lots of hot water. Laundry room was clean. The snow on the ground made getting in and out a little hard but they have had way more snow than normal. We camped at Kamloops RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Our site was a gravel pull-in which meant we had to back out when leaving. It was hot and the best part of this site was a huge tree that provided shade. The site had a paver brick patio and a table. Spacing was pretty tight as our awning was within inches of our neighbour's slideouts. All utilities worked fine. Cable TV had around 70 channels and they were clear. Wi-Fi was hopeless as it was hard to even get access. Gates close at night, but one gate could be opened by using a supplied code. As choice is limited in this city, we would probably use this park again if in the area. We camped at Kamloops RV Park in a Motorhome.

The park is not very big. It is mostly gravel in the sites but has a few nice sized grassy places to walk a dog. They have a big notice just before you enter "all dogs must be leashed" but as with all other parks we have been in, in Canada they do not enforce it.

We have had at least two power outages since we have been here. The last one appears to have taken out our Cable TV switch. We can still get cable, but it's grainy and with NO analog TV broadcast in Canada and I was unable to view my DirectTV in Canada because US service providers of DirectTV are legally prohibited from transmitting the DIRECTV signal outside the United States. So we are without video but can still get audio for weather, news, etc. So, beware of power outages, you could be at risk. This will most likely cost us a pretty sum to repair. Let me also mention we have super surge protectors on our coach and yet still.

The showers and bathrooms are nice and clean but the residents leave the door propped open. This morning I guess I found out why: it was so hot in there I could barely breathe. I showered and got right out and back to our RV to finish up my hygiene routine.

There are two washers and two dryers. The machines do not state on them, but I found out the washers are 35 minutes long, and the dryers are up to an hour. They take $2.00 (Loonies) each. I didn't have any Canadian money and the office would not let me charge the $16.00 I needed for the machines so I ended up giving them $20.00 USA so I lost money in the deal. Shame on me.

When we pulled in we were assigned site number 8 but when we put the jacks down the front tires were way up in the air. We tried several times pulling forward and back to get in a place in the site that where the wheels were not off the ground and we could not. The park reassigned us to site number 3 which is more level and not on the slope up row of the park. VERY close together.

The first day the Wi-Fi was almost non- existent. The park office said it had been that way for a few days. Today, however it is very strong and stable. Good thing I guess since we have no TV. :-) We camped at Kamloops RV Park in a Motorhome.

We drove up to Banff and Lake Louise in a rental car. It was an amazing drive. Gorgeous scenery. I highly recommend the drive. We stayed overnight in a motel. It's 5.25 hours each way and winding mountain roads.

Very small sites, said we had a pull thru but we could barely park our 36' motorhome on the site, let alone the tow vehicle. No real grass, very dusty/dirty, couldn't put awning out as it would have touched the neighbours RV. Not what we had hoped for, for that price. We camped at Kamloops RV Park in a Motorhome.

Ditto on everything posted by other reviewers; however, trains are even worse than described. Not only can you hear them all night long, but you can feel them as well. Camped near the office. WiFi worked very well. Laundry was clean with two washers and two dryers. This campground is OK for an overnight, but next time we will look for another campground with less noise. We camped at Kamloops RV Park in a Motorhome.

Free solid WiFi, free cable (not so good). Gravel pull thrus and backins, a little bit of grass. Good utilities and very helpfull friendly staff. Downside: lots of noise off the highway and the trains.... This park is definitely overpriced but good for a night or two. Be sure to visit the Wildlife Park - within walking distance, all rescued animals. We camped at Kamloops RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The site was long enough for our 45' plus Jeep but very narrow for 4 slides. We were right up against the picnic tables on both sides. Roads are wide and sites are level. Good 50 amps. It would get a higher rating if there were grass on the lots. There is only weeds and they desperately need to be cut down. Good location for visiting Kamloops. We did not use any of their facilities nor did we visit the wildlife park. We camped at Kamloops RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sites are level but rather close. Our neighbors awning almost touches our window awning. Road and train noise but did not notice either at night. Close to city and shopping. We camped at Kamloops RV Park in a Motorhome.
