We chose this park because it was off the beaten path but still close enough to the city if we needed anything. There was only one other full service park open this time of year in Kamloops and it is right next to the Trans Canada. We were not interested in the traffic noise. This park is quiet. The services provided worked reasonably well except the WiFi. It may as well not exist. There is no cable but we were able to pick up a few channels over the air. The sites are way too small and close. Some sites have the services on the wrong side. It is populated by a lot of full timers and it shows. Many of the sites were very cluttered and junky. I classify most residents as red necks. They pretty much left us alone and mingled only with each other (which was very fine with us). Plenty of large dogs including Pit Bulls but all well behaved and leashed. There is not much to offer in Kamloops for full service parks but we will pass this one by the next time we are here. We feel that we did not receive good value for our dollar. We paid $30.00 Cdn per night inc Tax for off season. Oh, the very small stream was running while we were there and we thought it to be pleasant. We camped at Knutsford/Kamloops RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Kamloops proper is about 10 minutes away. It is a small city with all amenities.

As others have mentioned, this park is in a ravine. Sites are reasonably level with small grass area and gravel parking spot. "Clear mountain stream" is small creek. It was dry by the time we left (3 days).

Washrooms were okay, staff was great. Site was too close to neighbours - no privacy.

Appear to be a lot of long-term campers - one Class A had a plywood skirt!

If I was to visit Kamloops again, I would go elsewhere. Good only for overnight stop. We camped at Knutsford/Kamloops RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

All major retail outlets in Kamloops -5-10 minute drive. As for other things to do, stop in Info Ctr at turnoff to Hwy 5A.

Park is located in a ravine. Entry road is down a hill and is only slightly wider than one way. Two rigs coming and going could not pass each other. Site was tight, could not put all slides out. WiFi reception good but occasionally drops off. Lots of shade and quiet. Interior roads well maintained but narrow. Appears to have lots off full or long time residents. O.K. for short stay but when through this area again will look elsewhere. We camped at Knutsford/Kamloops RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very close together. Sites were small and dingy. Bathrooms were decent. Very basic. Good for a one night stay only. We camped at Knutsford/Kamloops RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Owners and other guests (many seem long term residents) were nice and washrooms/showers were OK. But we only stayed because it was late and we needed to stop for the night. The sites are jam-packed into a small ravine. We had trouble getting our 24' (small) unit backed in between the picnic table and the next unit. No privacy at all, and minimal shade. Hardly room to put up a folding chair. The "mountain stream" mentioned in the advertising is a tiny, weedy, muddy creek about 1' across, and barely 3" deep. I was then astonished to find (AFTER we hooked up, (they should have told us verbally at check-in about this) that all the water available is subject to a boil water advisory. This means you should not brush your teeth or get shower water into your mouth either. OK to stop into for a night if you are needing a place to sleep, otherwise, give this a pass. Suggestions to owners: provide clean water, provide larger, more private and shaded spots (Kamloops and area is hot and dry in the summer), level sites more carefully, billing the tiny creek as a mountain stream is misleading. We camped at Knutsford/Kamloops RV Park in a Motorhome.
