Easy access off BC 37, staff was pleasant and helpful, combination of back-ins and drive thrus. We had a drive through and didn't have to disconnect. The site was level with grass between sites. Utilities were easy to reach. We had a pleasant time here, overnight rest stop, quiet. If in the area again we would certainly stop here. We camped at Cassiar RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Take the half mile hike down to the Salmon Enumeration station (fish counting) on the River at the Skeena- Kitwanga confluence. Do be aware that bear also enjoy the fish, when they are running, so be prepared.

A wonderful little park right off Hwy 16 at Kitwanga on Hwy 37 where it turns north for the Alaska highway. Large grassy sites, well maintained, clean. A lovely couple managing this park are so friendly and accommodating . Quiet and peaceful, we so enjoyed relaxing here after coming back to BC from Alaska. We camped at Cassiar RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed overnight on trip from Alaska. I don't know about other travelers but thought the fee was higher than others even though we stayed there on the shoulder season. An additional $9 plus tax fee brought it to almost $55.00. After paying fee, lady then proceeded to tell me that the wifi was not working. So we paid $55.00 for w/s/e. The sewer connection was a ways from motorhome so be sure to bring an extension or long hose. I agree with others regarding entrance and exit of the site. Pole on entry, trees on exit. I watched 2 fifth wheelers exit and each brushed trees on both sides. I disconnected my toad from my 35 ft motorhome but still brushed both sides on egress. Trees will get fuller and larger with time making it more difficult if they don't do anything about them. I will not stay there again. We camped at Cassiar RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is a very quiet, clean, RV park with ample space for large rigs and even a pressure wash area to wash the Alaskan road dirt off your rig. Clean power, no fluctuations noticed. The owners are extremely helpful and eagerly offered information on local sites and services that made our stay even more enjoyable.

The only downside we found, was the sites are somewhat close together, and there were some small pine trees planted near the front of each site. That made pulling out of our site in our 44 footer a bit more difficult. But if you take your time and are more careful, scuffs from the trees can be avoided. Our stay was extremely pleasant, and we even extended our stay to take advantage of the peaceful surroundings. We camped at Cassiar RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The owners eagerly provided a map of the local attractions. We took advantage of their suggestions to visit the nearby totems, a scenic, riverside drive through the woods, and a native artist's gallery.

While you are here, don't pass up an opportunity to eat at the 37 Grill. The place is full of ambiance and the food is really good.

After having driven the Cassiar Highway from the Yukon, it was wonderful to arrive at a RV park that had a car/RV wash. To be truthful, I still had dirt from Alaska on my rig and it was time to get it clean.

This is a very clean private park. The sites are grassy and there are a lot of spruce trees as well. Everything was really clean. We had full hookups, including fairly strong WiFi. While there was no cable connections, or over-the-air TV, there was a fairly extensive DVD library available in the office.

I would stay here again. We camped at Cassiar RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a great park to stay at while in the area. The staff was friendly and helpful. The park was very clean. Also, the laundry room was very clean. We didn't use the restrooms or showers. The setting is beautiful and nearly the whole park is covered in green grass. The sites have trees between them. Our site was level and easy to get into and out of. We would stay here again. We camped at Cassiar RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

New managers this year - very personable, very helpful. They have really cleaned up the whole park. When park is full, sites can be a bit tight getting in and out, but it was still quite doable and nicely level. Views are outstanding from the upper section. Just a beautiful spot to spend a night or two. Will return. We camped at Cassiar RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Even if you want a pull-through (there are several in lower section), ask about parking in the upper section. If not busy, you can pull through the site to front without unhooking.

I do not remember the nightly rate. Nice park and very clean. The office was accommodating and friendly. Great views etc. as has already been mentioned. The problem is access and egress. we have a 40' motor home with a tow car. Pulling into the pull-through site there are poles located right on the access road on both sides. It is a very tight turn in and my tow car barely missed the pole. I thought I was going to have to de-couple which is a pain for a pull-through. Once in, all was well until exiting the next morning. There are trees on the inside of your exit turn dead on the road on every site with a narrow exit road. I had to de-couple the tow car. Luckily there was no one in the site ahead of me as I needed the room to turn. Even with that, the tree scraped the side of the rig on the way out.

I only mention this to warn anyone with larger than 40'. I cannot imagine making the turn.

A great park but not big rig friendly. We camped at Cassiar RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful spot to camp. Huge pulll through with full hook ups. The views of the mountains is spectacular! Very close to fuel, groceries and the national historic site. Hosts are friendly and helpful and it is very very clean. Fantastic walk to the river, good exercise for us and the dogs. We camped at Cassiar RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The national historic site where the local first nation had there village and many battles took place is worth a look. Also the fish counting station is very interesting.

Very friendly. Restrooms were clean and well maintained. Our site was water & electric and level. The only problem is the mosquitoes had found the park also. Overnight stop on our way to Alaska. Would stay again. We camped at Cassiar RV Park in a Truck Camper.

These were the dirtiest showers and restrooms I have seen in my 4 years of full time RVing! When we arrived at the park there was no one there at all, just a sign stating "will return at 3". There was absolutely no one in the park. If you do not need to use the shower or restroom this would be OK for a night, but find someplace else if possible. We will not stay here ever again. This is a basic park but the owners are nice and helpful. One note: if you want satellite internet access, park up on the hill in the electric and water only sites. The sites down the hill are too low for a dish to see over the trees. It's quiet and has good views of trees, and it's a good stopover point between larger cities in BC. We camped at Cassiar RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is way out away from civilization so they lacked a lot of amenities. Friendly staff and a few trees in an otherwise cleared lot. We took a short walk down to a nearby river and back. You don't have too many options here and if you're heading north up the Cassiar Highway then this is the most logical place to stay as there isn't much else for the next 450 miles of travel until you reach the Alaska Highway. We camped at Cassiar RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
